11. Useless Chapter(3)

"Now how do I defeat that goblin..."

Arthur was back at the plains, laying on the grass and viewing the bright sun.

"I mean... I only have the max level option... or... I bow him!"

Arthur was so close to grinding his level. But in an unexpected turn, he thought of using a bow. It wasn't a traditional weapon, nor has he even seen a bow at all, but a long range weapon will really do.

"Wait... I don't have a bow though.". But any long range weapon will really do, though.

"Then what if I throw a rock!"

"Well, I tried.". The bow instantly got removed as an option.

"So... Level up for years? I mean I got my charge...". Leveling up it was. Arthur waited for his stats to go back to normal and he went to kill the Water Dr-

"Or I kill my own people!". Well that was certainly an option... The Water dragons give 200 exp, but a goblin gives ten, when he can kill ten a second.

Arthur has killed his own people multiple times, making his level already reach 7. It was not the worst option, but surely the morality of that act, has t-

"Yeah, but I can't kill a waifu, that's just so against the rules... Then... Just raid and kill other villages infinitely?". Arthur went to the save he made after he and Seya got back from the sea.

There, Arthur went and looked for villages as soon as he spawned. Finding a village was not easy, as he doesn't even know the shape of the continent either.

But wasting time, was a specialty of Arthur. And after many days of circling and even stupidly getting lost in a forest, Arthur found a new village and made a save point immediately.

After doing so, Arthur rushed in and killed the goblins as soon as he saw them. Without much thinking, Arthur has resulted to mass genocide to defeat a single goblin.

The goblins at the village weren't alot. There were only 86 goblins, but in just a few minutes of killing, Arthur already got 860 exp.

But Arthur seemed to have forgotten something. And those were the achievements. As Arthur wanted to use a weapon rather than just ripping apart the goblins, to make his hunt faster, Arthur found more gacha boxes in his inventory.

These boxes, could only really come from the system. The only part of the system that gives reward other than the quest board was the achievements section.

What Arthur found in his inventory was surprising yet enticing.

"Wait, is this boost permanent?!"

After using the boost, Arthur realized he could reach max level faster than he expected.

He has not yet done much grinding so the boost was not really wasted at all. But it was certainly going to be a great help.

And there comes the two gacha boxes.

Arthur of course hated how he couldn't get the boxes to be saved. But luckily this time Arthur saved his game just after activating the boost.

For another last effort after opening one Gacha Box.

And finally after reverting back a save, Arthur got his wish. And an infinite gacha box opening session was in stall for this other Useless Chapter.

"Fuck yeah baby! I got 2 again. Shit, what are the rewards... I wish I could see it by taping it with right click, but left cause its a hand haha-"

And funnily enough, as he was talking, he reached the box with his left hand and a pop up that showed the items appeared. It was a long list.

From the very first look of it, the entire thing seemed normal. But that was just the tip of this iceberg. The deeper you go, the more questions you get.

The [Common] and [Rare] sections all seemed normal. It contained very interesting items and vouchers. And a stat point, that Arthur didn't really care.

"With the Goblin trait, I don't need a single stat point. But if I do find infinite gacha boxes... they would be useful."

Entering the next tier, it started to get weird.

"Wait... Isn't an epic supposed to be 15%." Well that wasn't really the weird part. But the abundance of the decimals did seem eerily weird. It meant a tier was so rare, so many decimals were needed.

"That sounds so dumb, just not cool man."

The tier did include newer things, like a map that would certainly be helpful. Though it was random, Arthur could always retry to get the right one. Another interesting one was the race upgrade, but it wasn't usable by Arthur.

"Oh fuck you! You telling me the usable is rarer! Where am I going to use that! Seya?! Oh.. Seya... Yeah seya...". Arthur got distracted for a while thinking of seya. He couldn't help it, he was a v-

The next tier was the turning point of normality. Including rewards that completely made sense, yet not, in the sense that he has currently experienced.

It started with the weapon, skill, and stats, removing the exp vouchers, but then the interesting rewards once again laid after.

The previous tier obviously had more, as this [Legendary] tier had less. But none the less, with a world map that he could just get rather than a random one. There existed a text mentioning a [Gaurdian].

"Wait... So a pet? I mean, for the generic plotlines, a pet is very needed. Wait, or is that for tower climbing ones.... well I am technically climbing floors through continents... so a fluffy animal is always welcome, hehehehe.". But that laugh is ignored by the sheer chance of even getting a legendary tier.

But the last reward was just another one that revealed more aspects to the system. Revealing that the level had a limit, and that you can break it. So reaching max level was possible, but the question is, why need more...

Then the last tier came. Bearing the most amount of rewards. And the most insane out of them all. It still started with the basics that was definitely copy pa-

The weapons and skills this time, was obviously the last possible tier for any tier list.

The stats, this time sky rocketed in the amount. By reaching a double digit and 30 at that, just from the previous 5.

But these could all be explained by the impossibility of that probability.

"How long do I even have to spend just to get 1 thing from this what the fuck!"

But this percentage will soon make sense. As this rewards just spoils every single one of the fun, and gives mystery and nightmares.

"Damn I want that. I don't give a shit about what the currency is, I want it immediately, I mean, a place to probably buy gacha boxes? Oh let me baby!"

To a new gacha box that sounds way too over the top.

"Ok... How could there be anything better than this!"

A new feature. Whatever that means. A [Shop] was not a new feature. Whatever that was, Arthur wanted it.

"Feature... whatever it is I want it. Fuck shit! Damn I just what the fuck are this. All of this are just hard to fucking process. Ahhhhhhh! Wait nevermind, it's easy. It just meant this journey won't be easy.". Arthur in his mind, smiled menacingly, with twitching eyes and tilting head, a shaking body, and a rage that needs extinguishing.

From a load of information, maybe opening the boxes may make him insane. To get the chances to even get a [Mythic] class, with his determination, Arthur would surely die.
