Chapter 9: The Path of Mastery.

"All right that is it, I know what you're lacking now. I can see you have some talent in martial arts for a gatherer." As he says this I notice that missing damage from the fight was recovered on the level up. "Alright everyone it is time to wind down for the day" As he says that everyone moves to where monster parts are piled. I take this time to sneak over to the meditation pool. I get into a crossed legged position and begin to meditate. Master Shikan comes over with a large medicine ball in hand. "This should help you gain some mass" I take it from Master Shikan and begin to absorb it.

Encasing it in a ball of Hyphae I begin to eat it all with much gusto. I guess he was making me something to help gain bulk.

Wow this thing is dense. I feel like I've already eaten a ton, yet there is still room for more.

What incredible luck for me, all this Biomass I wonder what I can spend it on, maybe I'll put off growing for a while.

While I'm at it I should really check my stats.

I go through the skill menu and I look for something to compliment my Cell Harvest. 

[Skills available to purchase: Cell Absorption: Cost 1 SP: Grants the ability to absorb a cluster of your own cells.]

I found it, the skill I need for collecting my things. I wonder what I can do with these two as a combination. As Master Shikan turns away from me I realize the eeriness of the dojo, being so still with no one doing anything, but what I assume to be sleep eating.

With that I have to try out the skill, I hop down from the top of the mushroom down into the pit and find three bioluminescent mushrooms growing. I scoop them all up and with my new skill Cell Absorption I absorb them into my body.

Through absorbing them I gained a small part of their memories. It feels almost like deja vu but more like a lost memory of sitting in a pit all day. I noticed one of the mushrooms was thinking like me for a while wondering what was happening all day hearing all the commotion. So they're me afterall I was wondering that when I first used the ability it must feel weird being on the other end of this ability. Let's repeat the process everyday until I can figure out what else this ability grows into. I use the ability Cell Harvest again, this time the chunks coming off of me are about the size of a grapefruit. I use it again and again. This time I realize my limit is about four times. Placing the mushroom bits back onto the ground. Climbing out of the pit I notice there is room for me still on the feeding pile. But, I think I should finish off this medicine pill first. As I wrap the pill in mycelium, I begin to walk over to the pile and get ready for the night.
