Chapter 10: Apartment

Yeop Chunghee awoke with a start, realizing he was wearing a brand-new outfit completely distinct from what he had worn the previous day. His heart raced as he gazed at the big mirror in front of him.

Before long, I hurriedly went to his side and supported him. "Careful hyung"

"Hoon Youngjae..? What are you…" He looks at me surprised but also confused by the situation

"You passed out last night. I think it's because you've been overworking yourself" I said hurriedly attempting to comfort him.

'After all, I don't want to be seen as the assaulter of Yeop Chunghee now do I? Although I am the assailant…'

"I… collapsed?" He hissed before accepting the reality as he felt the sharp pain on his back head after lightly grazing his palm on it.

"Mhmn. I already told you to be careful hyung" I then placed an ice pack on the back of his head lightly "This should help the pain"

"Thank you Youngjae" He sighed out of relief as he leaned into my hand, still holding the ice pack

'Cold!'

I nodded while secretly screaming inside and helped him back to lie on his bed

"It's the least I could help hyungnim" I slowly released my hand on the ice pack.

"You should get more rest. After all, you hit your head on the floor"

[More like the floor hit Yeop Chunghee... (´皿`;)]

"I… hit my head on the floor?" He looked at me distantly as if he was thinking of something else entirely

'He looks out of it. Shit. I didn't hit him too hard did I?'

[Player Hoon Youngjae…]

"Yes.. Are you okay hyung?" I asked him worriedly. Of course, if he received a brain injury from my punch I could pay for the surgery and medical bills but still…

"No-I mean yes. Don't worry about me Youngjae" He lightly smiled bringing me into more confusion.

"Hyung, do you remember what happened last night?"

"Last night?" He froze. "Did we do something inappropriate?"

[K-kyaa?! (⁄ ⁄>⁄ ▽ ⁄<⁄ ⁄)]< p>

If it weren't for my fast reaction speed of covering my mouth with my hand, I would've coughed up blood

"Please halt your thoughts right there." I accidentally said informally while at the same time, worrying if I hit Yeop Chunghee too hard.

'If I remember correctly, there was no blood on the ground when I picked him up so it should be fine right?'

'Right???'

"…Then what happened last night?" Yeop Chunghee glanced at me confusedly.

It looks like he really doesn't remember anything from 24 hours ago just like what my fellow members did whenever I hit their heads.

However, were they this confused?

'Looks like I didn't care about them enough to even notice… Oh well.' I shrugged before proceeding to ask the system to show me Yeop Chunghee's status window.

[Okay! ⊇^▽^⊇]

This was the unknown reward I got from the system last night. My skill [Guide] was upgraded from Rank C to Rank A and now I can see other's status windows.

Also, the system gained quite a bit of a personality… No, maybe it already had that personality when we first met.

'Honestly.. The system always gives me weird-' I froze while looking at Yeop Chunghee's stats

I widened my eyes looking at him. "Hyung?"

"Yes, hoobae?" He looked at me confused as I did as well back at him.

'As stated in the status window, Yeop Chunghee is suffering from temporary amnesia. However..' I looked at the player summary of his status window and thought about it carefully.

'Why is there a [Overseer] mentioned there? Is it like a bug after the system's update?'

I let my thoughts wander for too long that Yeop Chunghee noticed my uneasiness and tugged my sleeve surprising me.

"Hyung?"

"Youngjae... are you okay? What are you thinking about so deeply?" He looked at me worriedly still not letting go of my arm.

I honestly wonder why he's so affectionate to me..

"… It's nothing" I said reluctantly. I wanted to tell Yeop Chunghee since it looks like my parents trust him well enough however he's also unpredictable. So, unlike my parents, I can't fully trust him with my information.

'At first glance, you'll get the expression of an abandoned puppy but at the next glance, you'll see a cunning fox killing your opponents for you'

"I understand" He nodded letting go of my arm. "But we didn't really do anything last night, right? You've been acting really-"

"Hyung please trust me. I'm straight" I said straight-forwardly.

He nodded hesitantly, because of the pain in his head, at my answer. "… Alright"

"Ahh. By the way, did I already give you the documents Youngjae?" Yeop Chunghee decided to shift the attention to another topic after noticing my uncomfortableness

"Ah.. Yes, you did. Thank you for your hard work hyung."

"It's nothing. It's the least I could do" He waved his arm, and I could understand he wanted some time alone.

"Then Hyung I'll be going now. There's food on the fridge I prepared using the ingredients"

I took the brown folder with me and headed to leave his apartment.

He sighed then scratched his neck uncomfortably "Seriously you didn't need to do that to me"

I smiled uncomfortably while tying my shoes "How can I leave a patient who injured his head, to cook?"

'Especially since I was the one who injured you…'

"Alright. Just go" He sighed then went back to sleep.

I tied my shoes into a ribbon before remembering something. "Ah…now that I think about it…Wasn't Yeop Chunghee's status window like an RPG status window, unlike mine?"

I paused then shook my head nervously 'Let's not think about anything negative right now Youngjae. Let's not think about it. NO! LET'S NOT THINK ABOUT IT!!'

I walked down the streets in a rushed way distracting myself from jinxing a disaster that may occur in the future.

"Let's think about our quest for now Youngjae. Now that I have my parent's apartment location, let's go there and practice." I clasped my hands into a fist and headed straight to a nearby bus stop

----

At the bus, I took a moment to look at the address of the apartment my parents and searched it on an E-map.

Last time, I couldn't take the bus or the train and could only grit my teeth while walking in the cold but now…

'Taste the power of money peasants!' I could finally take the bus with my parent's money

[(¬_¬)….]

'Ah! Here it is' I then saw the location of the apartment in one of the documents and took note of the address. I then typed it into the search bar before getting interrupted by a system notification. Of course.

Ding!

'What do you want now system?' I groaned and clearly couldn't be bothered having another quest laid upon me since I already have two ongoing quests right now and have I mentioned both are extremely difficult?

'Having another one would be a nightmare' I shuddered before pulling away my gaze from my almost broken phone to the system's new notification

[Get down from Seomyeon station then walk 4 minutes]

The system then showed me a map that looks exactly like an E-map but instead of gray colors, it looked like a Satellite image instead.

'… I really can't wrap my head around as to what you are'

After the train had stopped at my destination, I hid my old phone in my pocket and went out of the train. I followed the system's instructions and eventually arrived at the complex earlier than what the E-map showed me.

"… This thing is too powerful" I murmured making sure the system didn't hear but it probably did as it soon showed me my auntie working her job in homecare in England.

'This stalker-!' However, all I could do was smile and thank the system.

"… Thank you for telling me how my auntie is doing system"

[You're welcome! ⊃^▽^⊃]

"…"

I looked at the buildings. This seems to be an apartment complex, however…Why is there a swimming pool, a sports area, a park, and a floor just for cars to park?

"This…" I feel like an outcast as many people enjoy their time, chatting and playing games. I look at my clothes that I have been wearing since yesterday.

'I... Don't belong here.' Despite the amount of money, I now own, I can't be used to living as a rich man in just one day. I then shook my head. There was no reason to think about this further, and I just need to enjoy and be thankful.

'System, can you guide me to flat 1218?'

[Understood (^▽^)ゞ]

[Turn left and head straight for the elevator. Once you reach the elevator press the floor number 12.]

I followed the system's directions carefully and headed straight to the apartment. There, I saw exactly the number in my hands. I opened the door and saw a large space with a Full-length mirror pasted on the wall.

There was also a flat TV in the center of the wall perfect for me to use when learning a dance and a massive couch for me to sleep on when I became too tired to go to bed.

There wasn't much decoration or things going on in the living room and it served its style for being minimalist just like how I and probably my parents too would've liked it.

I looked at the room of the apartment closely. There was a kitchen just in another room with a table in the center and a solo bedroom that was perfect for one person and could even hold at least four people more.

A balcony was also hidden because of the large curtains covering it and there I could see laundry materials. The place was also air conditioned well as every room had an air conditioner and a heater for winter.

"Crazy…" I mumbled. This place was indeed already impressive having a balcony but a recording room also? I couldn't imagine how much the computers or mic could've cost.

I lightly touched the mic and other electronics in the room. There was an LED light spread across the room. This could also be used as a gaming room where I could play PC games, but I didn't care any about that.

Because I know my parents have taken their time to research what I might like. They took the time to know what boys my age could like. Especially since I was distant with them they could only guess. To be honest, I don't care about playing online games since I was always busy with either Idol work or working part-time jobs.

'… I'm still grateful though' I smiled before taking off my blue sweater.

"Now then…Should I start dancing?"
