Prelude To The Tournament

Jordan strolls through the midday sun taking in the empire in all its twisted glory. The scenery of this place was rather beautiful despite all the atrocities plaguing the empire in the dark. The people looked at him with apparent hostility and weariness considering he was wearing tattered clothes that appeared to have some blood on them. Though many were confident that the empire's guards wouldn't just ignore someone who could threaten their safety.

Jordan noticed all of these slight micro reactions that would look like nothing to those who were less aware of others. He was keenly aware that he needed a change of clothes and a place to sleep so he decided it would be best to go into a nearby alley and see if the system could give him a change of clothes.

'Hey, Sky did I get any points from fighting that guard?'

By equipping the full set of this armor you will be able to permanently decrease your presence by 5% so long as the armor is equipped, as well as temporarily go invisible for 10 seconds. (800sp)

By equipping this armor you will receive a permanent 5% increase in agility so long as you wear the armor, the user will also be able to use the skill overcharge which will multiply the user's base agility stat by 3 temporarily giving the user a massive speed boost. (850 sp)

It's just a Nike tech with a big jacket and a Shiesty mask do what you will it just know the system was never involved. (200 sp)

By equipping this armor set the user will receive a permanent 10% boost to all stats. (675 sp)

After taking a look Jordan was seriously considering buying the {He's a runner, he's a track star} set since it would give a boost to one of his highest combat stats, and combined with the special skill of the armor it seems s though the decision was made however, the all-around boost that he would get from {The Kidd} set seemed to sway his decision as if he bought that set he would have more than enough to buy other things from the system like new weapons. He finally decided and told the system to buy the armor.

Instantly he was clad in a very modern and comfortable-looking set of clothes that were not only sized to fit him perfectly but also seemed to be in the best color for him as he preferred black. Looking at the holographic representation of him in the system interface he couldn't help but let out a cocky grin as he was wearing clothes that kinda cemented in his mind that he was in an anime world.

After basking in his pride he decided it was best to spend the rest of his sp to get a few things he would need.

Once he was done buying what he needed from the system he was left with a European-styled sword that had a silver crossguard and a black handle, the blade itself wasn't visible as it was sheathed in a bright orange-colored scabbard. With his new gear, Jordan decided it would be best to exit on the other side of the alley just in case someone had seen him go into the alley in his previous state.

Jordan walked down the alley with his sword in hand as he planned out what moves he would make in the world of Akame Ga Kill. He had absentmindedly walked into someone who was far taller than him.

"sorry man I did-"

"YOU STUPID BASTARD, DO OU HAVE ANY IDEA WHO YOU JUST PISSED OFF!!!!!"

Jordan was annoyed by the person who had both cut him off and yelled at him but decided that he wasn't going to draw attention to this particular alley. He needed to keep his head down until Esdeath's tournament where he would make his debut in this world.

The man saw Jordan spacing out and ignoring him and immediately felt angry as the boy had just disrespected him. He grabbed Jordan's shoulder and hoisted him into the air with his brute strength. Or so he thought, the moment Jordan felt himself being grabbed he immediately retaliated by punching the guy in the face.

He fell over in the narrow alley and passed out imagining himself throwing Jordan around and teaching him a lesson.

Jordan as nonchalantly as possible just took a giant step over the unconscious man. He opened his system interface to take a look and see the changes that had occurred due to the set's boost and his defeating that guy.

He looked at the boost that he gained from the armor and was very pleased but he did question why he didn't see any sp being added for defeating that guy in the alley.

'Hy Sky why didn't I get any points for knocking out that weird guy in the alley'

[Jordan you won't get points for defeating weak enemies you will only get points from battles that may have been challenging]

Jordan spent the rest of the afternoon looking around the capital and learning more about the world and exactly when he was in the story. He did find out quite a bit as it seemed as though Bulat and Shelle had been killed by the tree beasts and that crazy dog girl the same as canon.

After finding these two things out Jordan was sure that the tournament would be announced very soon. He was also a little disappointed that he couldn't save Sheele as she didn't deserve the gruesome end that was given to her.

After finally making his way around the residential areas he decided to settle in at a local pub that seemed to be booming with lively conversation and merriment. He walked in and saw a man drinking and gambling and just having a good time. Many men were actually standing up on a few of the sturdier tables and were singing shanties for all the other people in the bar. Jordan takes a seat at the bar and questions the bartender "Why are these guys so happy?".

The bartender was shocked that this foreigner hadn't heard the news. "The emperor announced a tournament with a huge cash prize so many of the people at the bar are excited about it ".

"And why are they so excited, the tournament sounds rather troublesome and dangerous"

The bartender was taken aback but continued his explanation to the strange man. "There's also a hidden prize given to the person who wins, some think it's going to be a job as a member of General Esdeath's special team".

Despite the level and cool face that he had kept throughout the interaction Jordan still couldn't help but let out a small smile at the prospect of meeting one of his favorite yandere characters.

"Looks like the general has another fan!" the bartender teased the young man upon seeing his slight half-smile. Jordan ignore the bartender's teasing as he gets up from the barstool and headed out with a simple "Thanks, you give me more help than you know" as he walked out.

Jordan walked out with a smile present on his face until he saw an amber-colored screen popup in front of him with a quest.

~ Tomorrow is the day of the Tournament and the moment when Esdeath falls head over heels in love with Tatsumi. Defeat Tatsumi and win Esdeath's attention ~

{Extra Mission} ~ Anger Tatsumi by bringing up Bulat and then Killing Tatsumi in front of all of Night Raid.

Seeing the quest Jordan was hesitant but upon seeing the rewards he decided that the quest was worth the risk and accepted it.

"I guess it's time to make my debut in this wretched empire, I can't wait!"
