Adaptation

Pepper writes stories that span the gamut from humorous to heartfelt, however the common theme is crossing boundaries. Pepper's unique stories often tackle taboo topics such as mental illness and homelessness. Readers will find themselves questioning their own sense of right and wrong, attraction and desire. In addition to writing, the author is also an artist, an introverted recluse, a self proclaimed empath and a foodie. Pepper Pace can be contacted at: pepperpace.author@yahoo.com Carmella was still a teen when the Motherships first appeared dotting the skies over the Earth. For years the world tried to normalize while the silent Motherships hovered. And then THEY arrived, promising that they meant no harm. But within ten years eighty percent of the world’s population would be wiped out. Including everyone that Carmella loved. The ‘blobs’ took those that survived to another planet called Earth Two. But Carmella was an Earthling and she would kill the hated monsters that had destroyed her world before she would allow them to take her. Carmella settled into a lonely existence on the now desolate earth—all alone except for her wolf. And then she sees it hiding, watching her—maybe to capture her and remove her from the only thing that she can still call her own--her world. But Bilal is not like the other Centaurians. He is fully aware that he will never be like the humans that he’s grown up with. Earth is the only home he knows and he feels that he is just as much an Earthling as any human. Shunned by his own kind, Bilal travels the Earth trying to capture an essence of the life that he could never be a part of and a world that would never accept him. When he sees the black woman living all alone his curiosity gets the best of him. He cannot stop himself from watching her, and secretly growing more attached to the human. Bilal’s quest to become human brings him to a decision that will forever change the course of human-kind. In an attempt to ease the woman's loneliness--or perhaps a need to recreate himself, Bilal impregnates the woman with his Alien DNA.

Transmigrating from a zombie world to become the mecha kings wife

There were three words in the Sun star empire to describe Scarlet Su, Useless, trash and stupid. But one day, Scarlet Su's star account went from having the user name 'The mecha king's bride' to 'The mecha king sucks.' Suddenly everyone wondered, what new attention seeking game was she playing? Dying in a zombie infested earth, a young woman dives into a door way which should lead to a wonderful new world but instead, she awakens on an interstellar world in the body of Scarlet Su, the unwanted wife of the empire's favorite general and mecha king. She becomes an instant mother to the general's son and the part owner of an undeveloped garbage planet. Luckily, she has transmigrated with her storage space, millions of supplies and a willingness to work hard. Unfortunately, she is tricked into becoming a grim reaper in this interstellar world. Every week she must deliver souls to the underworld or risk losing her newly acquired mental strength and return to the being the old Weak, useless Scarlet. She went from being Scarlet the useless to Scarlet the amazing and her husband suddenly came calling desperate for her to accept his love. She said, "Talk to your son first, he is the one seeking a father." But his son said, "You want to be my daddy, join the line of suitors over there and fill in your information." Excerpt: "So the prodigal husband returns after all this time and here I thought you were dead." she said sarcastically. "Watch your tongue Scarlet, I am still your husband." Scarlet laughed and crossed her arms, "So you are aware that you are a husband, how should I react now that you have chosen to embrace the title you so easily wanted to discard a few months ago. Should I clap my hands and then take my clothes off and beg you to ravish me?" she rolled her eyes at him and scoffed. She watched her husband slowly walk toward her with a focused furious look in his eyes and she wondered if she had pushed him too far. "You dared to send me divorce papers, Scarlet, have you lost your damn mind?" 'No,' she thought, 'On the contrary, you have lost yours.' Do You Want To Read A Movie? Hello there! The Author is here for a self-review. This is my first work and for me, for the person who is one of the most explicit examples of procrastination, to write 63 chapters so far is definitely a great deal. *congrats to myself* Now, let's go back to the review itself. Writing quality. First of all, I think writing in the language which is clearly not your mother tongue is really hard, and maybe, sometimes, my syntactic constructions can be a little bit strange, but still, they are understandable and grammatically correct. I don't have grammar mistakes (at least, I didn't find any), but the style is just the way it is. This version is my first draft, and I plan to do the editing after I finish the whole book. So take it easy and pay attention to the plot itself. Story development. Like one of the readers said in the comment section - "It feels like I'm watching a movie.....it has all the ingredients of a hit one...." – I do try hard to make the story vivid and emotional. So be ready for the suspense. You will be puzzled with the answer to the question "who is the bad guy?" Character design and world background – As far as I can see, my readers are still waving from one character to another, guessing who is the protagonist and who is the antagonist, who you can trust, and who you shouldn't. It means that I managed to achieve my goal. Can't wait to see how everyone will react when the truth will be revealed and all the masks will be taken off. Stability of updates. To my mind, this point is crucial for translated novels, because they are completed already, and you always can hire more people to handle the translation and update as many chapters as you want (though mass releases are not welcomed by translation teams, because the longer you update, the more readers you attract, which means the more money you get). The same goes for premium original novels. They have a rule for daily updates with 2-3 chapters. As you can see, my novel doesn't belong to any of these two categories. I don't have a strict schedule for updates, but I try to update daily. Because it helps me to keep the process of writing stable, and I'm very happy when new chapters are welcomed by my dear readers. It inspires a lot and gives the energy to write even more. Sometimes, when I cannot update for a day or two (because of some obvious daily life reasons), I try to upload 2 or 3 chapters at once, to compensate for the delay. So I think my stability of updates is pretty good because this novel is not pre-written and you get chapters as soon as they are ready, like hotcakes straight from the oven. This is the main points I wanted to share with you. If you are here, it means you are reading my loooong review, so thank you for your time and attention! I will be glad if you dedicate your time to reading my novel and if it entertains you somehow, it would mean that I did something useful in my life. Thank you for reading and all the best! Take care and may God bless you and your beloved ones. I believe, the family is the most important thing we have in this world. This work wouldn't be the way it is right now without the huge support from my family. Thank you.
