Forging Empires and the Utopia

After looking at suggestions of viewers it's acomplete rewrite better story and plot without any system. "I find myself at a crossroads in my writing journey. The pacing in the current storyline feels rushed, leaving little room for a proper introduction of the main character. Additionally, the timeline is disarrayed, prompting me to consider scrapping the existing concept and starting afresh in the 1970s. The new narrative would involve substantial plot development, transcending the current shitty Hollywood and the world as whole and exploring deeper themes. Making much better wish fulfillment story. Introduction of older actresses (females) without the system in place, I envision a tale featuring fundamental superpowers like longevity and super genius. ***Synopsis... CH: 14 Microsoft BASIC Language

14 Microsoft BASIC Language

Henry and Susan started to explore the estate so they could better understand it. Basically, all the facilities were complete and the furniture is new too because there are people who clean the estate on a daily basis. Henry is very satisfied as the estate is nice and meets his needs. After 10 minutes of quick check, Henry looked at Susan who's eyes sparkled as she personally checked every little facility the estate provides.

And Susan and Henry were satisfied with the house just after one look. So after a small talk with Susan they decided to buy the estate as it's pretty cheap. But, he feels one thing is less....

"Ms. Stacy, does the maple forest include the estate property ?" Henry asked as Susan told his the maple forest is what makes this house worth buying.

"Sorry to inform you, sir and madam, but the forest is public property and does not belong to any private owner," Stacy, the manager, replied, eager to avoid any disappointment.

"But if Mr. Henry wishes to include the maple forest in the property, we can facilitate that for you," Stacy quickly suggested, sensing Henry's interest in the forest.

"How much?" Henry inquired, aware that acquiring the maple forest would come with a hefty price tag. However, if it was something Susan desired, he was willing to make the investment without hesitation.

After calculating the size of the forest, approximately 5 square kilometers based on his journey of five minutes at a speed of 60 km/h, Henry realized the immense value of the land, especially given its proximity to Silicon Valley. In 1973, such vast plots of land near urban centers were exceptionally rare, making this opportunity even more precious.

"The forest covers an area of 1298 acres, priced at $200 per acre, which totals $259,600 for the entire forest. However, factoring in additional expenses, we estimate the total cost to be around $300,000," Stacy explained, swiftly calculating the expenses on the spot and relaying the information to Henry.

"Then please proceed with the purchase, and I'll offer you $400,000 to ensure a smooth process and secure subsequent land rights," Henry declared, adding an extra $100,000 to expedite the proceedings and avoid any complications.

"Thank you, sir. With the additional funds, you can rest assured that the transaction will proceed seamlessly. Leave everything to us, and we'll ensure that the property is transferred to your name within a week, even if it requires meetings with the mayor or senator," Stacy assured him. "Mr. Henry, please visit the estate tomorrow as we initiate the cleaning process. If you have any specific requests or changes you want in house, please inform me, and I'll ensure they're implemented by tomorrow."

After finalising the deal, Henry then wrote a cheque of $600,000 as down payment for the estate and gave extra $400,000 to buy the maple forest.

Henry and Susan then go for a drive around San Jose as Susan has never been here before. There's nothing much to see in San Jose, so the couple decided to return home to inform Henry's parents about the house purchase.

---

After 2 days, Henry finally moves into the estate. The maple forest purchase is still not completed as the real estate agent still negotiated with the San Jose Government. But they talk to Henry and the purchase basically will be successful at most 3 days later.

After moving into the estate, Henry then purchases some extra furniture and a computer. He plans to create a variant BASIC language with it. The Microsoft BASIC language (Beginner's All-Purpose Symbolic Instruction Code) is the foundation of Microsoft that he plans to establish. Henry decided to create Microsoft as hif first shell company for several reasons.

One, the Operating System is one of the entries into the computer market. If we can monopolize it, it means we monopolize the basic computer industry. Because without the Operating System, the hardware will not work, so Henry decided to create Microsoft first.

Two, the Microsoft BASIC language variant is relatively easy to code as it's just a simple programming language.

Based on just 2 points above, it gives enough reason to Henry to establish Microsoft first. Henry infers, in just 1 month, he can finish the Microsoft BASIC code. After Microsoft BASIC language successfully developed, Henry then plans to develop MS-DOS Microsoft version and negotiate with IBM about it later.

NEXT DAY

It was around eight when Henry asked, "So, what do you want to try first?"

Susan brought out a pamphlet for Disneyland. She said, "I went here with my parents and all I remember is that I wasn't allowed on many rides because of my height. Some of my friends also said that they have many new rides which are way better than when I last visited."

Henry smiled and said, "Then we are going to Disneyland today."

So Henry grabbed car keys as both headed to the nearest DisneyLand in California. And once they arrived at their destination Henry quickly parked the car as both then walked to the ticket counter and it was packed. Since they planned this on the weekends, it was filled with couples and families with kids. So it was crowded with people.

Henry and Susan were standing in the line, which was barely moving. Kids were running around and jumping, rushing their parents to hurry up and get the tickets.

Susan smiled and said to Henry, "We should've planned this for the weekday."

"What are you saying? You were very excited on the way and It is more fun with people around, except for the long waits though."

Henry sighed and they talked while waiting in line. Susan talked about her family and parents, "Can you still believe that my father thinks I shouldn't be doing Business Management course. I even showed him my results. He hasn't changed in all these years. He still thinks it's not a career path for women.

Henry and Susan then talked about things, it was mainly Susan talking about her life in her family, life when she was at school and stuff. Henry didn't say much since in the last two months of their relationship she knew most things about him.

They got their tickets after an hour and they entered Disneyland through the iconic Disney castle gate. They were met with the magical land of Disney as soon as they entered. Huge figures of various characters. People dressed as Mickey Mouse, cartoon themed houses and buildings. And one things Henry noticed is that their was only one Disney princess the OG one Snow White and cartoon themed houses and buildings he saw were new.

Which means Disney has yet to create its magic in this world. Which also meant it was great opportunity for him.

Henry quickly shook his head and forced himself to focus on Susan and forget about how to make money at least for today.

Susan was like a kid, running around to different places while remembering seeing them as a kid in shows or movies. While Henry was like the tired dad, who had to keep up with the energy of his kid.

Susan then spotted a few kids taking photos with a man wearing a Mickey Mouse costume. The kids had Mickey Mouse ears on. As Canon was ruling the US Camara market with portable cameras.

Susan's eyes glowed. She immediately turned to Henry and said in an excited tone, "We have to take a photo." pointing to them.

Henry immediately said, "I am fine with photos, but I am not wearing those ears."

Susan said, "Come on. Please." dragging him to Mickey Mouse and even though he was reluctant to wear the ears, Susan put them on his head and they took their photo.

And within minutes the photo was quickly printed out of camera and after a little shaking the man handed the photo to Susan.

Susan looked at the photo and was amused by Henry's embarrassed look. Susan said, "We are definitely framing this photo."

Henry sighed resignedly and followed Susan to the next attraction, King Arthur's sword, which had recently opened in 1971. As they approached, they saw children eagerly attempting to pull the sword from its stone, their faces filled with determination and hope. Yet, with each unsuccessful attempt, a few kids left disappointed, some with tears welling up in their eyes.

"Let me see if I am worthy." Susan said while eyeing the sword in the stone.

Susan rolled up her sleeves and went to the sword. She pulled it out without any effort. Susan then called Henry to try it out.

"Babe. Shouldn't you check if you are worthy or not like your girl."

"Worthy of what? A fake sword in a park?" Henry asked while looking at her as she was easily moving the sword.

"Just try it once. I am sure that you won't be able to lift the sword after what you said." Susan replied with teasing smile,

Henry walked to the sword and tried to pull it and it didn't move. He was sure that the operator heard him and did this. He could pull it out with just his strength and break it, but he would be forced to put too much strength in it and he didn't want to ruin the day of other kids in the park.

Susan started laughing, "Pfff...hahaha...you aren't even worthy of a fake sword in a park."

People nearby who heard their conversation chuckled. Henry and Susan then moved on to the next place, a maze in the theme of Alice in Wonderland. They moved through the trippy maze and Susan was frustrated after taking a few wrong turns and ending up going in circles.

It was Henry's turn to laugh.

"Pff...hahahaa...the worthy person got lost in a maze designed for kids."

"I don't like this." Susan said as she didn't like the maze.

Henry then led them out of the maze while constantly teasing her. They then walked out of the maze and Henry immediately spotted another themed ride that did not exist in his world and he was excited. He turned into a kid and said, "We have to go there."

Seeing Henry excited for the first time since she met him, she agreed, curious as to what could get him this excited.

It had a huge line and Henry didn't mind the wait. Susan asked Henry, "Is it really that great?"

Henry said, "I don't know but it looks interesting enough."

Henry was genuinely curious about the weird themed ride. After a 38 minute wait, they got to the ride and it was completely known for him. The set was pretty good and the people playing the characters were great.

"Wwwoooowww..." Susan was cheering along with many others on the ride. Henry was liking Susan excited like this.

After the ride, Susan had a bright smile and Henry said, "It was fun."

Susan said, "I know right? We are definitely watching the movie."

They then moved on to other attractions and they took many photos and bought many souvenirs for Susan's parents and her little brother and Henry bought a few for his own parents.

They then ended their day with the famous Disneyland parade and walked out, with their faces full of joy.

Susan rode almost all the attractions and rides, although there weren't many to begin with. Despite not spending much money, Henry found himself completely exhausted by the end of their adventure. He couldn't help but marvel at how Susan, with her small frame, seemed to possess an endless well of energy..

As evening approached, Henry decided to treat Susan to a special experience. He took her to a rooftop restaurant with a breathtaking view of the city, where they indulged in a lavish Eastern meal that cost him around one thousand dollars. After a delightful dinner, they found themselves gazing at the starry sky, their hearts intertwined with the beauty of the universe. In that moment, they shared a deep and passionate kiss, sealing their love under the shimmering canopy of stars.

Next Day

After identifying some design flaws, Henry became determined to create the Microsoft BASIC language. For the next two days, he immersed himself in coding, focusing solely on refining the language to perfection.

Two days later, Susan made the difficult decision to return to Harvard, determined to immerse herself in studying company management and related subjects.

Henry fully supported her decision, seeing it as an opportunity for her growth. He even planned to eventually hire Susan as his secretary till she gained some experience.

Henry drove Susan to the airport, knowing it would be months before they saw each other again. As she plans to study seriously at Harvard. And after a long possessive kiss he bid her farewell.

Henry returned to the estate, ready to dive back into his work. His focus for the next month would be on developing the Microsoft BASIC language and settle some side hustle and paper work.

---

25 Days later.

With the Microsoft BASIC language successfully developed, Henry wasted no time in securing its intellectual property rights. He swiftly registered a patent for it both in the US and internationally under the name of Umbrella Corporation, ensuring its protection from infringement.

During these 25 days, alongside working on the Microsoft BASIC language he also established and registered Umbrella Corporation, Henry also utilized his time to handle paperwork for another subsidiary: Wizards of the Coast. This additional subsidiary company, under the Umbrella Corporation, was strategically established to further diversify Umbrella Corporation.

Following this milestone, Henry officially founded Microsoft Corporation, establishing it as a subsidiary of the Umbrella Corporation. The company was registered in California, specifically in Silicon Valley, the heart of technological innovation. This marked the beginning of Microsoft's journey as a pioneering force in the tech industry.

On the thirteenth day, all registration processes were finalized, and Henry wasted no time in releasing the Microsoft BASIC language to the public. Leveraging his Harvard connections, he arranged for the language to be published through the university's channels, generating widespread excitement among the academic community.

Harvard eagerly agreed to publish the Microsoft BASIC language, recognizing its exceptional quality and user-friendly interface. The release garnered significant attention and enthusiasm from users eager to explore the capabilities of this groundbreaking software.

Despite not holding the same stature as MIT in computing, Harvard recognized the significance of Henry's achievement and utilized its extensive resources to promote the Microsoft BASIC language. Leveraging their network of connections, Harvard swiftly disseminated information about the language, sparking widespread interest within the computing community.

Within just two weeks, Microsoft BASIC language gained rapid popularity, quickly establishing itself as the industry standard. Its user-friendly interface and accessibility made it

With the popularity of Microsoft BASIC language soaring, Henry wasted no time in initiating the recruitment process for Microsoft. Situated in Silicon Valley, the heart of technological innovation, talent was abundant and easily accessible.

Henry began by recruiting computer engineers and other essential positions vital for the company's operations. However, for key roles such as CEO and Chief Engineer, Henry already had ideal candidates in mind. These individuals possessed the necessary expertise and vision to lead Microsoft to success in the highly competitive tech industry.

Henry eagerly dialed the number of Harvard's boys' dormitory, knowing that on the other end of the line was his soon-to-be CEO, Bill Gates. "Hey Bill, the company's already established. When are you planning to join us?" Henry inquired, aware that Bill had been captivated by his vision of the future of computing and technology.

Bill's response was hesitant. "It's a bit complicated here, Henry. But I promise I'll be by your side for at least a month. My parents... well, they wouldn't take this news lightly," he explained, hinting at the challenges he faced in breaking the news to his family.

Reassuringly, Henry offered his support. "Convince your parents first. Explain why this matters to you. I'm sure they'll come around once they understand," he advised, knowing Bill's integral role in Microsoft's management.

After their conversation, Henry wasted no time and instructed Bill to bring Steve Ballmer onto the call. Recognizing Ballmer's prowess in foreign relations and his genuine approach to people, Henry knew he was crucial to Microsoft's success plus he was one of a kind genius.
