Brian ate the last of his food. “You should write a book on common sense.”
“Now, if anyone hits you or tries to, I expect you to defend yourself.”
“At work, Rico said that a certain percentage of those who pick on gays are secretly gay and it’s a way to cope or—what did he call it?—dwell in denial. He said fear and insecurity are what make others mean, while some people do it to fit in. If everyone loved gays, they’d do it, too.”
