Chapter 41

Punch, run, kick, run, block, run, dodge run. It's just a constant cycle, I'm learning new thanks as we fight. I took a page from the Flash's book.

By vibrating by body fast enough I can faze through objects, it took a while to get the right speed to avoid his attacks. Maintaining the state though is extremely difficult, it's like patting your head while rubbing circles on your stomach, while making circle's with your leg and doing hopscotch with your other let while also spinning around.

Essentially a lot of complicated multitasking, which I failed many times. It will take a lot of practice to get this right. My opponent on the other hand is perfectly fine. he's doing stuff that honestly shocks me.

If I stop channeling speed through any part of my body, he creates a soul and puts it there which temporarily controls that's part. During the fight I accidentally stopped channeling speed to my left arm. Next thing I know my arm has a mind I its own and is punching me in the face. Lets not talk about my clothes.

After about three hours of me learning, and having the ever loving shit beaten out of me. The fight ends in my miserable defeat, I'm pretty sure I'm currently in the Yamcha pose. However I'm to tired and sore to care, so I just lie here.

"Not bad, your young and inexperienced, but with time you'll get there"

"Just curious, but what do you think would be your ultimate attack"

"Ultimate attack. Do you mean like sure kill, then that would be soul erasure. It allows me to, as the name suggests, erase souls and anything connected to them"

"So what are you going to do now. Go home"

"Under normal circumstances, yes, however that world is where I ended up after. That"

I say pointing to my soul, which has just made a connection to Primordial speed.

"I get your point. So that's your current world but this is your original one. You can always leave a mark here"

"Mark"

"Yeah. I call them force mark's, it allows my to go anywhere I have been before easily. After all multiverse's move around a lot and pretty fast to. Without some way to track them you could easily get lost"

"Wait, so that means I didn't need to make the connection to that world"

"Not really no. However it was a smart decision to do it"

"What do you mean"

"How did you learn about the marks"

"You just told me about then"

"Now, how would you find that world without the connection. The answer you couldn't. The connection allows you to find it. You had to leave your world to find me to learn about mark's, and thanks to the connection you can return. Now it's useless, but before this moment it was your lifeline"

"I see, good point"

"Okay, first let's make a mark. First gather as much speed as you can into your hand"

Following his instructions, I do as he says and gather speed into my hands.

"Good, Now compress it. Keep gathering and compressing it till it becomes solid"

Following what he said I keep gathering and compressing speed until I'm holding a pure bead of speed about one centimetre big.

"Good. Now when you use you speed, spread out your senses, feel out for the bead. try it"

Doing as he says I use my speed and feel for the beed, maybe because I'm holding it in feel it pretty easily. It's like feeling a extra part of me, not like a limb, something similar but different.

"Good. Now put that somewhere safe. It contains enough energy to destroy a planet a hundred times over"

It's at that moment I realised what I'm holding. I'm currently holding a crystallized mass of pure energy. Intangible energy compressed into physical form. Looking at the harmless looking WMD in my hand, I decide to hide it in a secure underground opening in a random planet in this multiverse.

Entering into a random planet earth I faze through the ground until I enter a small cavern. Placing the bead into a safe place in the cavern I head back to the multiverse space. Having sorted that out I look towards Axle.

"So, what are you going to do"

"No idea, keep traveling, try and find my home world"

"What"

"Oh yeah, I never told you. I created the marks as a way of finding world's. However I only thought up the idea after I left my world to explore and lost it. I have been searching for over three million years for my home world, but no luck. Unfortunately I was to arrogant to make a connection to my world when it offered it to me like you did. Now I have no way to find it, so I keep searching"

Damn, now I feel bad for him, and happy that I made that deal with Earth.

"Anyway, here"

With that he throws an object at me. It's a crystal of some kind, it's made from soul.

"That's another nothing I came up with, it connects to this one I have. Using the omnipresent primordial soul energy it can connect the two no matter how far away they are. Call if you want to talk or have any idea. Before I go, what are you going to do now"

"Right now I'm going to do a temporal run to see the path my soul went to find home original world. I mean look around there is are literally ban infinite number of universes it could be"

"I wouldn't do that if I were you"

"What to you mean"

"The cycle is complete"

"What does that mean"

"Your journey started as a soul, send out of reincarnation by the fight of two god like beings. You lived a few years and encountered a being like you.

You had a fight with said being, and accidentally sent a soul, you, out of reincarnation. The would will the travel said path you did, they cycle.

Now the cycle is complete, there in now no flux in your existence. If someone went back in time and killed you, it wouldn't matter, because you exist and you always will.

However if you do anything to affect that, such as run back in time to see your souls journey, you will destroy the cycle, and your connection with the primordial speed will be removed, and your existence erased.

We don't have many restrictions, that doesn't mean there aren't any. You can erase multiverse's or what ever you want, but you don't tamper with things like that. That and their just sadistic like that, they like seeing us squirm a bit"

At his words, I can only feel depression about the situation. Here I am, so close yet so far. I found my home multiverse, but now I have an infinite number of Earth's to check.

"For what it's worth, I'm sorry, I know what it's like. Look at the bright side, at least you found your home multiverse, eventually you'll find your way home. Well, see ya"

With that Axle dissapear's into nothing. Looking into the rainbow lights that represents the infinite universes in this multiverse, I can only cry. So close, yet so far. With that I enter the first world of many, trying to find my way home.
