When Victor opened his eyes, he was lying on the ground, surrounded by his friends. They were all staring down at him, their faces filled with concern.

"Victor, are you okay?" Callie asked, her voice trembling with emotion.

Victor sat up slowly, rubbing his head. He felt dizzy and disoriented, and his chest hurt from where the knife had grazed him.

"I'll be okay," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "What happened?"

Xeno stepped forward, his sword still drawn. "It was an ambush," he said. "Someone was waiting for us in the woods, and they attacked without warning."

Victor felt a chill run down his spine. "Who was it?" he asked

Xeno shook his head. "I don't know," he said. "They were wearing a mask, and their voice was disguised. But I can tell you this - they were skilled with a knife, and they knew what they were doing."
