Chapter 41: game on

Ella was about to respond when she dodged a ball aimed directly at her. she fell on her left hand and as she was trying to stabilize herself another ball was 'mistakenly' shot at her again. in the process of dodging the second one, she tripped and twisted her ankle.

she screamed in pain attracting the attention of others especially the one who was occasionally stealing glances from her. the guys rushed to where the girls were already gathered, their faces etched with worry and concern. Justin tried touching the ankle to know exactly where the pain was but Ella screamed in pain at the contact.

Justin couldn't bear to see his love in pain and so he quickly picked her up in his arms princess style and hurriedly walked away leaving the rest. he took her to the house allocated to the players for the competition and placed her gently on the counter before going on to get the first aid kit and a bag of iced peas.

when he returned, he tried lifting her leg and luckily, she didn't squirm at the touch. he then proceeded to touching the red ankle making her whimper in pain. Justin looked up and his heart tore at the sight. the love of his life was in pain, tears were streaming down her eyes. Justin decided to do something he had been avoiding but because it had come to this, he had no choice. he didn't want it to seem as though he was rushing the relationship, but he couldn't bear to see her in pain any longer.

without waiting any longer he carefully dropped her leg before placing a hand gently on her neck, pulling her towards him. he placed his lips on hers capturing hers in a gentle and passionate kiss shocking Ella who hadn't been expecting it

Justin moved his lips on hers gently while delving deep into her mouth. He poured all his love and concern into that kiss, wanting to convey to her how much he cared for her and how sorry he was for not being there when she needed him.

after a while, he pulled away to look at her. "I'm sorry. I promised to protect you but I failed" Justin rambled as he continued to apologize. Ella shut him up by placing her lips on his this time around. Justin wasted no time in circling his arms around her waist. he settled between her legs before pulling her closer to him.

while they were still kissing, Justin felt someone looking at them and so he peered open his eyes and caught Myles looking at them in anger before he walked away. Justin finally released her lips for them to catch their breath.

Ella finally noticed the huge hands massaging her twisted ankle. he had been doing it while kissing her and so she didn't feel pain as he did it. he picked up a bag of frozen peas wrapped up in a towel before placing it on her ankle.

Ella winced as the cold seeped through the towel. "don't worry, I'll take care of you" Justin said before placing a light kiss on her lips.

after Justin took Ella away, the girls couldn't sit still. they walked up to Nora and her gang.

"I know you did it on purpose" DD accused

"and so what if I did. you can't prove it anyways" Nora said back

"I'll prove it. just you watch and wait" Lianne threatened

"okay okay. why don't we settle this justly. let Lianne and I play a one on one basketball match, if I win you have to kneel down and apologize to each and every one of us. however, if you win I'll apologize to you all on behalf of Nora" Jade proposed with a smirk. she was so sure that she was going to win. she had this planned out already
