Chapter 21: Test of skills 1

"Ok ok" Ben said before turning serious. "Jack I dont understand you anymore. I picked you up wasted at the bar yesterday night and you still went there this morning? Is that how you were trained? Have you ever seen me burn my liver in a bar because of breakup? You're the ceo of a company, how are people meant to trust your company when they see you wasted at a bar?"

"Ben, you won't understand. I have feelings. I'm human not a robotic workaholic like you. I don't bury my feelings in work. I dated her since my first year in college, how do I move on just like that..." Jack was saying before being cut short by Ben "So what? Is that the reason why you should waste yourself, destroy your reputation and taint our family name all for a lady who has already moved on"

"Wait, what do you mean by moved on?" Jack asked and Ben realized his mistake

"No I didn't mean that. I I I was just angry"  He said stuttering. Meanwhile, Lianne sat cross-legged while eying both of them in amusement as she drank the chocolate flavoured milkshake she had ordered using the ceo's name.

Ben kept stammering. "Wait... you mean she's found a new boyfriend?" Jack said exasperatedly, sinking down into the chair, realisation finally dawning on him.

Jack decided to go back to his company and bury himself in work after promising not to get wasted drinking again and Lianne returned back to the QGDZ

They had just eaten an early dinner because they had to practice more as the competition was drawing near

"Today, we'll be witnessing Aj play as a professional. I'm sure you guys have been wondering why Lianne never practiced with you guys and the answer to that question is the fact that Lianne doesn't like playing in front of people so she practices at night. However, today she'll be playing in front of us all" Zac announced and they all gathered to stand behind Lianne's chair in preparation for the match

Lianne sighed and picked the skill she wanted to use

"You use tamano mo mae?" Alex asked with eyes wide open. Tamano mo mae was a skill few people knew how to use in the gaming world

"Yes I do." Lianne replied. The game she was playing was a duo match. Her duo player was named Tian.

"OMG your team mate is tian. CBQY'S AD. AD was regarded as the team leader of the sort. " Kai said and after seeing the confusion on her face, Jordy spoke "It's Tyler". This news made Lianne furious. Of all people to team up with it had to be him. But she didn't let it get in her way of winning the game.

She won the game. And the guys were astonished as to how well she played. Just as they were celebrating, Lianne got invited to a trio match by one of the best tamano mo mae users in the whole gaming world
