Chapter 22: Test of skills 2

"That's Kim Kyun. The best of tamano mo mae users in the world. He must have been watching your matches for him to invite you to a match" Xavy said as the read the invitation sent by Kim Kyun

"If you don't want to do it, you don't have to" Dami said after noticing the slight discomfort Aj showed upon seeing the invite

"Yes you don't have to. You are Good enough and you can show that to every viewer when the competition begins" Kai said encouragingly

"Aj, do you want to do it?" Jordy asked and Ricardo pressed further "Yes, just tell us. If you don't want to do it we can decline. Like Kai said, you can just show the world how good you are in the real competition

"Don't stress yourself guys. I can do it. I've watched his matches before. I know his strengths and weaknesses. Though, I've received many invites from him before but I declined them, I believe I can do this" Aj assured them

"Aj we aren't saying this because we don't trust you or anything. I mean whatever doubts we had before has been cleared by that match you just played. But we're saying it with your best interest at heart. All e-sport fans will be watching this match once you agree. Not everyone in this field will accept his invite, knowing how good he is. The moment you accept his invite many people will want to watch" Zac explained.

Aj said she didn't like people watching her matches so they were all worried she wouldn't be able to play.

Aj fidgets a bit but assures them saying she'll be fine

They all go to bed but Aj has trouble sleeping so she goes back downstairs. She watches all of Kim Kyun's matches again. Not that she hasn't done it before but since she'll be playing against him the next day, she needed to be prepared. She practices all night and is met behind the computer with another coffee in hand and her feet soaked deep in water by Jordy.

"What are you doing? You're going to get a cold if you continue doing this. And plus, it isn't exactly healthy to drink coffee all night especially when you have ulcer" Jordy said lifting her leg out of the now cold water and cleaning it with a cloth before placing it back into her black, warm and furry flip flops.

He cajoled her into going to sleep so she can be well rested for the match ahead.

Ricardo and Zac made the necessary arrangements for the game ahead. They informed and assured the shareholders about the match and they got the full support from them. The shareholders felt that Aj was brave for her to accept such a challenge head on

Aj woke up more hungry than usual. This was the effect of drinking coffee all night. She quickly took her bath and dressed up. She dried her hair and tied it into a messy bun with tendrils framing her face.

She went down stairs just as Zac was bringing out the lunch from the kitchen. They all gathered at the table to eat.

Zac and Ricardo informed her that the game will start at 5pm. So she still had time. Since the game was a trio match, Jordy and Kai were playing with her. Their aim would not be to play against Kim Kyun but to help Aj against the other two opponents

By the time the match was about to begin, Aj was strong and ready to face Kim Kyun.

"It's alright for you to lose. You accepting this challenge means a lot already." Ricardo assures her. He didn't want her to think that losing this match will mean she's a loser. The fact that she already accepted the match said a lot about her already.

Since there were many viewers, the game was a live stream. Aj wore her mask since she wasn't ready for the world to see her face

When it came to the ban, Aj chose to ban ibaraki dojo instead.

"Why aren't you banning tamano mo mae?" Dami asked

"He's probably expecting me to, but ibaraki dojo is his second famous skill. I probably can't win him at his own game, so I'll make him play mine. Banning tamano mo mae wouldn't quite be fair on him if he's going to be playing by my own rules" Aj said with a slight glimmer in her eyes
