Chapter 47: I am falling in love with someone else !

While ate her mango, She looked at Calcel and begun talking.

" This mango reminds me of tge first day I met Herm again tmin the supermarket." Begun.

" You are going to talk about Herman again? " Calcel asked not believing.

" Will you please stop misunderstanding me and him? " Alyssa questioned stopping to eat.

" I can never believe you. " Calcel said..

Alyssa looked down and said.

" Herman is like a brother to me since we met four years ago. I was nothing but he made me the famous actress. He was able to recognize talent. "

Calcel was still listening to whatever she was saying. When she looked at him he gave her questioning eyes implying her to continue with whatever she was saying.

" The truth is that , I know Herm likes me. " She declared making Calcel a little startled but he tried his best to hide it.

" But , It's unfortunate that I can't like him back. " She said solemnly.

" Even after all that he has done for you , You mean you can still reject him ? " Calcel Asked looking deep into her eyes .

" I believe that he does all these with a good intentions and I am sure he expects nothing back from me for everything he does. Am sure he will understand me when time comes. " Alyssa said.

All her statements surprised him. He didn't believe that Alyssa really trusted Herman this much.

" So , Do you mind telling me the reason why you would reject such a good friend ? " Calcel asked unknowingly.

Alyssa looked at him and nodded her head. " Yes.." She said and looked at Calcel deep in the eyes.

" It's because I think I am falling in love with someone else. " She said in a very clear and audible tone.

" Falling in love with someone else .. falling in love with someone else..." The words she stated echoed in Calcel's ear. Could it be that Alyssa was falling in love with his father ? That is what came in his mind first. He knew that would happen one day and he was sure today was it. He wasn't ready to ask her who that person was but the deep look into his eyes told it all .

While Alyssa said this , Her eyes turned watery that she even released a tear. She just noticed it and quickly dried it off using her hands while she looked away from Calcel who was still glaring at her .

" Do you wish to know that someone ? " Alyssa asked still looking deep as if to read his mind . He didn't know why she was asking him such a question but immediately she asked that his heart begun racing from his chest . ' What's wrong with me ? ' He asked himself. Was it his business to know ? And why his heart toturing him like this ?

He looked at her dumbfounded. He knew who ever this person Alyssa liked , It was really going to hurt him somewhere. He immediately got up avoiding Alyssa's question .

" Father must be looking for us now . " Calcel said while he got up from his spot. "We need to be there as early as possible." He added. Alyssa looked at him confused.

" What are we going to do ? There's no one here or any means of transport . " She asked and informed him.

" But we can't stay here anymore.." Calcel yelled.

" I understand that. But we should be patient , Am sure he sent his men to look for us already. " Alyssa comforted.

Hearing this , Calcel sat back besides her. The two waited quitly again but Alyssa couldn't bear the silence. She wanted to talk to Calcel and indeed she knew this was the best opportunity to otherwise he will be avoiding her the next days.

" Calc..." She called softly.

" Mmm.." Calcel looked at her .

" Do you hate me ? '' Alyssa asked surprising him.

He took some time staring at her before answering. " It's obvious , I told you already. " He simply answered nonchalantly.

" Then , Why didn't you leave me to die yesterday ? " She asked again.

Calcel couldn't believe her boldness. How dare she ask him such a question. " Do I look too rude to do that ? " He asked her.

" Of course not. But if I died , It would the best way to get rid of me . You said you hated me for being your step mother. " Alyssa said.

" You are right , I hate you for that but I can't change it. " He said.

" If time comes and contract ends , Will you be my friend ? " Alyssa asked surprising him again.

He chuckled and looked at her. " Why would I be your friend , I have enough of them. " He said huskily.

Alyssa's made a corner of a smile and heaved a breath. She felt her heart sweezed , Did he really have to dislike her to this extent. " I remember , We were friends before I got married to your father.." She said and kept silent to look at him. " If I hadn't married him , Would we remain friends ? " She asked .

" Stop day dreaming. Things changed and you can't change it back. " He said. " I don't want to talk about that.." He added and looked away.

Alyssa chuckled at her stupidity. She wondered why she did even have to ask him such questions yet the answers were obvious.

" Then stop acting nice to me again. " Alyssa declared.

Calcel looked at her again figuring out what she meant. His questioning eyes asked her to explain.
