Fairy 15: Learning about Death.

'When did I pass out…?'

That was the first thing that Zack thought. When he sees the night sky, while he lay on his back, facing the moon within the night sky.

"Finally awake?" Hearing a familiar voice, Zack turns his gaze to the source of that voice. Only to see a black-haired boy with only in his boxers, leaning on a nearby tree.

"Yeah… how long I was out?" Zack asked, as he looked for Natsu and Happy. Only to see them fast asleep nearby.

"Natsu was mad when he woke up, you know. But he also became worried seeing you unconscious like that." Gray said, as Zack tried to recall what happened.

"What happened to that Lovely guy… my mind kind of went blank halfway." Zack went, as he doesn't really remember what happened in the end. Almost like if something or someone took over his body at the last moment.

"You don't remember…?" Gray asked with confusion can be seen on his face.

"I don't… I don't really remember anything." Zack honestly told.

"I see… he's dead, his head… chopped off… by you." Gray said, it not like some anime, that barely has no deaths. In the real world, death can happen any moment. And Gray knows first-hand, what's death is like thanks to his mistake in his past.

"I see… I chopped his head off… is he going to be, okay?" When Zack said that Gray looked at Zack with shock. Even if he acted like an older brother, and sometimes even feels like one to them.

Zack knows a lot, but at the same time, this dense guy doesn't know much either. Which is why Gray sighed, as he kinda expected this, that this dense guy knows nothing about 'death' is, or the meaning of killing another person.

So Gray begun to explain what death is to Zack.

"I see… that is death… a means of the end… and killing is the means of personally bringing death to that person, right?" As if the knowledge was water, Zack soaked it up, and begun to understand why his heart felt so much in pain, as he learnt this.

"This is… what it feels like to kill… it not a great feeling…" Zack said his honest option, but also added: "But also a necessary means, if one is forced to, huh…"

Zack cannot help to recalled that blond boy, and his twins. Zack wanted to know more of those memories. Since he believes, they must be his own memories of his past life.

However, no matter how much he tries recall those memories. He just cannot seem to recall anything, as he looked at the sky.

"How about the bandits? I don't see them anywhere." Zack asked.

"They already taken by the knights nearby. They should inform us if any of them have a bounty on them. That Lovely or whatever his name was, had about 300,000 Jewel bounty on him… but only half will be given, since he's dead." Gray said that, and also looked at the sky along with Zack.

"It been two days since you had passed out. I already contacted Master, and he understood why we're late coming back." Gray informed.

"Now you mention it, how do we contact the guild? I been on missions, but I never been on long missions before." Zack asked.

"There is a magic device known as Magic Telephone. You can find them stationed in most villages, towns, or cities. Even guilds like ours has few of them. To be honest, I have no clue how it works, but they are useful since you can communicate with others no matter the distance." Gray informed what he knows about the magic tool known as Magic Telephone.

"Maybe they used Ether… Telepath Magic? But to do that, you need rally points… umm, maybe?" Zack that seems to understand how they work, didn't notice the shock face that Gray had before he sighed.

"How come when it comes to magic, you seem to understand about anything?" Gray cannot help to sigh hearing Zack mumbling.

"God told me." Zack said.

"That why it's even more worrying…" Gray said, as he also understands about the Cult background Zack has (Which is all a misunderstanding).

"Anyway, let's sleep, we can get back tomorrow." Gray said, as he went to sleep. While Zack himself felt fully awake. Just stared at the stars.

'I wonder if she is mad…'

Zack thought, as he slowly closed his eyes trying to sleep himself, even if he fully awake.

In a certain house, lies three white haired siblings. They are the Strauss siblings, as both Elfman and Lisanna watch the white-haired girl with the ponytail pacing around their apartment.

"Why… why is he late!? He said he will be three days tops! It's been 5 days… didn't he said we going to have a meal, all of us together, where the heck is that idiot!?" Mirajane, who been pacing around, and yelling at herself.

She is worried, but she also stubborn as well. So, she won't admit she misses him! However, it true she is both worried and mad about a certain annoying guy.

"There she does again…" Elfman sighed, as he watched his elder sister pacing around their apartment once again.

"Yeah..." Lisanna went with a wryly smile, as she herself is also worried about Zack and the others. But to be honest, she is misses Natsu more out of the three. But at the end, she also worried about Gray and Zack as well.

Which is why, she only can sigh, and tired not to worry her big sister, since she felt the same way.

"Bro will be fine… he is not that weak, you know." Elfman said. Also worried about his friends, as well his potential brother-in-law.

"I know…" Lisanna said, as Mirajane turns around looking at them.

'Elfman calls someone a bro? Did he make a friend…?' Mirajane has no clue that 'bro' is the one she is mad at. And turn on her overprotective switch, wondering if she should destroy this so-called 'bro' if he misleads her little brother.

Moments later, getting sick of staying inside their department. Mirajane and her siblings decided to head to the guild. And when they did, the first thing they notice, was the guild master, Makarov, talking with old man, that rivals his short height.

He is an old friend to Makarov as well a member of the most 'loved' Magic Council. He is short as Makarov, and bald, he has a toothbrush-like moustache, as well thick eyebrows. He is wearing a long brown sleeve shirt, and a three spiked hat for some reason. But anyone in the guild, also knew he also a former member of Faily Tail in the far past.

"It been fun… even if it wasn't greatest of news. Be well, Yajima." Makarov said, as the little old man, Yajima his name seems to be. Patted Makarov on his shoulders.

"Don't worry much about it… I will keep you updated, Makarov." Yajima said with a smile.

"I know you will, see you later old friend." Makarov said, waving Yajima out of the door.

As Yajima about to leave the guild. He meets face with face with the Strauss siblings that just entered.

"Don't mind me, good job Fairy Tail." Yajima said towards the three, that he had to look up towards two of them because of his height.

The Strauss siblings just nodded their heads towards the old man, who they had seen few times in Fairy Tail's guild. Sometimes he comes as a drinking friend to the Master, or normally a meeting between the two of them. But most know he is a former member of the guild. As well the most trusted person in the Magic Council.

When the Strauss siblings walked into the guild, Makarov spotted them, as he walked towards them.

"Zack and the others seem to run into a little something. But don't worry nothing serious, they should be back the day after tomorrow." Makarov said, knowing from the annoyed look on Mirajane, that she must be worried about Zack.

Of course, her face expression changed with slight worry hearing that. But her stubbornness took over her like her Take Over Magic, and quickly refuses: "I'm not worried about no one!"

Mirajane said with redden cheeks and stormed off. However, she soon stopped when she sees a certain redhaired girl.

'Zack says there is nothing between them… but he wants a harem… that's…' Mirajane thought, as she still looks at the redhaired girl.

Mirajane wanted to know, what she thinks of 'him'. After all, Mirajane cannot deny the fact, 'he' does spend a lot of time with her. Of course, Mirajane has no clue, she is being jealous, since it is always Erza 'he' goes to for help, when it comes to training or weaponry.

And yet, Mirajane knew, she is no good at weapons or the kind of training that 'he' does. Not to mention, Mirajane herself, is not good at teaching others. If it wasn't for 'him', Lisanna wouldn't has improved as much as she did, when Mirajane the one that tutor her.

At the beginning, it will be lie, if Mirajane was mad, as she felt like 'he' going to take her little sister away from her. But that annoying guy, told her, that he will always stop, if Mirajane herself felt uncomfortable of him teaching her little sister.

'It feels he can read me like a book… always annoying… because I don't know why I cannot refuse him lately… what this feeling…?' Mirajane thought, as she stood before Erza.

Erza also felt Mirajane as well and took a glance towards her. As both half-dragon girl, and this demoness stared at each other. Everyone in the guild knows it something is about to happened, which is why must members of the guild stopped what they are doing and looked at the two girls.

Cat fight? Honestly no, they always like this.

After all, Erza's relationship with Zack is more like a little brother and big sister. Of course Mirajane knows that. But needless to say, she cannot stop herself from saying something she always wanted to know from her.

"What is 'he' to you." Mirajane flatly said, which caused the whole guild that listened. To almost fell of their chairs, as they didn't expect Mirajane to say that.

Even Makarov and Erza are no exceptions and knew what this demoness is on about. However, Erza who only show a slight shock expression, soon turned to her serious one. And instead of answering this demoness, she asked her this…

"Isn't that what you should say to yourself?" Erza asked, with no difference in her tone than she normally speaks. But to Mirajane she felt suffocating when she heard that.

'What is 'he' is to me…?' Confusion can be seen all over her face. And Erza who saw her confusion didn't allow her another word.

"See, you cannot admit it yourself… he doesn't understand it either. That's why… as his sister and friend. I shall not allow you, a selfish bully, that only thinks about yourself. Taint his views what he wants the most. Not to someone that doesn't understand it either."

When Mirajane heard Erza said that. Rage and other mix and complicated emotions that been dwelling inside her, begun to leak out. While herself, didn't even notice she already activated her Take Over Magic. And turn into her demonic state.

Makarov that seen this, was about to jump and stopped before they destroy the guild. But he also understood what Erza meant by those words, which is why he stopped himself for a slight moment. And knew it was too late, as he watches Erza summoned her armour and sword as well, and begun her attack.
