234. Problem On The Way

Ben's group stays in Hargeon Town for the night after they visited Yajima. They will go to the Magic Council tomorrow after resting for a bit. There are some things that Ben needs to prepare before going there.

At night, he calls Jura through communication lacrima. He asks Jura about their plan and Jura says it is ready. Jura says that Ben can do it the day after tomorrow, so he doesn't need to hurry.

Well, it's good that he has more time to prepare what he needs. He can do everything tomorrow, so tonight, he enjoys the time that he has with Mira. Again, Bella is put to sleep with a spell before they start their nightly ritual.

"Ben, will everything be alright?" asks Mira as she puts her head on Ben's bare chest after they finished their night workout.

"It will. Even if it's not, I will do something and make it alright. This is the first step for our big plan, so I'll make sure it succeeds," says Ben seriously.

"But you need to be careful, alright? I can't help but be wary of Magic Council after what they did in the S-Class exam," says Mira worriedly.

"Don't worry, Mira. It's not us who should be wary of the other now, it's them. They have dared to put harm to our guild, so they should be prepared for our retaliation," says Ben.

"I also think like that, but I'm still worried," says Mira.

"Alright, I'll be very careful then. Now, let's sleep. We still have many things to do tomorrow," says Ben.

Mira nods and they go to sleep. These days have been very tiring, so they really need some good sleep. They need it even more after having a tiring night's workout that depleted a lot of their energy.

The next morning, they have breakfast in Yajima's restaurant. The food here is very delicious that it makes them want to keep eating. But even with the good taste, the prices for the menus here aren't that expensive, so this restaurant is quite popular.

After they eat, Yajima comes to talk with them, and he has a serious expression. Ben greets him but he just takes Ben to his office on the 2nd floor. He doesn't say anything for some time so Ben is very confused.

Then Yajima finally talks, "Ben, I was called to come to the Magic Council tomorrow. They said it's an important matter, but they haven't told me what it is. So I want to ask you. Do you have something to do with this?"

"Huh? Why do you think like that? What's the connection between me and the Council's business?" asks Ben while tilting his head.

"Well, I just have a hunch that you are related to this. The time when you said that you'll go to the council and this matter is just too close. Besides, you said that you will make a commotion there," says Yajima.

"Mr. Yajima, I am not the only one who has a business with the Council. Besides, I am still here. How can I make a commotion in the council when I haven't even gone there?" asks Ben.

Yajima is still suspicious, but then he says, "Well, it will be good if you aren't related to this. But it will just make things complicated because there will be too many problems at once after you make a commotion."

Yajima looks tired, but Ben just smirks in his heart. He knows that the reason why Yajima gets called was because of him. Jura must've started the plan to make Ben a Wizard Saint, so now the Council is gathering their officials.

But if it's another matter, then Ben will be happier because it means the Council has many big problems at once. There's nothing better than seeing his enemy suffers without him even doing anything.

Yajima doesn't pursue the matter any longer and lets Ben go. So Ben leaves the restaurant with Mira & Bella. Then they leave the town and go to the Magic Council's National Branch on Fiore to start their plan.

On their way, Ben tells Mira & Bella to keep their guards up while they are on the Council. With Mira's strength, she will be able to handle most Mages in the Council. Maybe the only ones who can defeat her are the Wizard Saints.

"Bella, you stay with Mira while I do my business. You guys will wait in the town and if they try to do something, do whatever you need to handle it. There's no need to worry about me, just leave if you really need to," says Ben.

"Roger!" says Bea while saluting.

"Leave it to me. I won't show mercy if they dare to do something bad. Although I doubt they'll do something funny to us," says Mira.

"Well, maybe. But who knows what those guys will do. They are very sly like snakes," says Ben.

"Don't say that, it's an insult to snakes," says Mira jokingly.

"Haha, it sure is," says Ben.

"Poor snakeys," says Bella while shaking her head.

Their way to the National Council Branch is very smooth, or so they thought. While they are passing through a village, they meet a problem. The village is being attacked by Dark Mages who worship Zeref.

Houses are destroyed and villagers are being massacred. Every time Zeref's worshippers attack villages like this, they will always destroy and kill the villagers. Sometimes, they will take children, but that doesn't mean the children will be safe & alive.

Ben & Mira don't take their time to observe and immediately move to attack the Dark Mages. There are many Dark Mages here, but that's not a problem for them. Their priority is saving anyone who is still alive and defeating the Dark Mages.

Mira immediately transforms into her Satan Soul form while Ben uses his Light Mode so he can move very fast. They move in different directions as fast as they can. Bella stays in the car because it is dangerous and the car is the safest place for her because it has strong defensive mechanisms.

Ben takes his sword and moves around very fast to attack the Dark Mages. He doesn't hold back and just goes for the kill. He doesn't even attack their vital points, his sword attacks are strong enough to cut their bodies in half.

With his sword, Ben cuts their bodies anywhere without any hesitation. Even if his sword only touches their skin, the force behind it is enough to cut deeper. Everyone that Ben attacked is being cut in half so they all are dead.

Mira also doesn't hesitate and attacks the Dark Mages with her demon claws. She rips their bodies easily as her claws are infused with dark energy. Only a few Dark Mages survived her attacks but even they are gravely injured and won't survive the day without anyone healing them.

Well, not like any doctor can save them, unless the doctors have strong healing magic which has been lost. So it's clear that no one will survive Mira's attacks. It's certain that no attacker will survive this night.

Ben & Mira have strong hate toward Zeref's worshippers. Grimoire Heart Mages who attacked Tenrou Island are one of them. They were the ones who caused the tragedy that befall upon Fairy Tail.

It doesn't take long for Ben & Mira to massacre the Dark Mages. But even if they can kill them fast, they can't save a lot of villagers. There are only 7 children who survive this tragedy and no adult survived.

"Damn, we are too late. They've started their attack some time ago," says Ben angrily.

"There's nothing we can do about it. What we need to think now is these children," says Mira while soothing the children.

"You're right," says Ben.

Ben then asks Mira to take care of the children while he gathers the corpses of dead villagers. While he is at it, he burns the Dark Mages corpses. Then he makes a big hole to bury the dead villagers and the kids watch the burial in tears.

The sight of the crying kids makes Ben & Mira feel very hurt. They know the feeling of losing their family really well. This sight also makes their desires for power increase. Only power can make them safe in this cruel world.
