Exodus: Infinity 》Connected《

Thirty years from now, humans finally turn their attention into space. At the dawn of a new century, 2100 A.D, Earth's atmosphere is near inhabitable. Orbital colonies are created. It is too late now to emphasize natural energy. With the exhaustion of their natural resources, deep space mining companies started to wander off further away from the system. This became a form of example. Even with the speed of light, interstellar travel is too slow. Not until the perfection of Suspended Animation solved the issue. After the war with the Dominion. The first colonists were sent into the system of Sarys. Approximately three hundred years away. After thirty years, it was deemed successful. Powerful syndicates and the world government started their own projects; The Exodus. Not wanting to be left behind. People volunteered to the progress. At year 2228, the last Hive Ship left an Orbital Colony, carrying the last human presence in the Solar System, giving Earth a chance of rejuvenation. The introduction of Blink, a signal that can reach any Vults(Receiver) without any millisecond pass, gave humans the ability to communicate with other fleets no matter the distance. It was a leap in human technology that will deem other alien races inferior. Companies started to advertise a new system of VR to entertain people while in Suspended Animation. *Disclaimer: Cover's not mine!*

Kzel was directed to his room by a female cultist. Once inside,  he entered the Command Space. The environment suddenly turned dark and the image of Fjora immediately appeared.

"I'm elated to see his Extreme Enigma once again." Fjora greeted.

"You have good news for me, I suppose?" Kzel paced around the blank space.

"Yes." Fjora waved a hand and another screen appeared on Kzel's fore. "The K'raw had agreed for a membership to our glorious empire."

"That developed very fast!" Kzel was a bit in disbelief.

"After some successful communications, we gave them a primitive design for a space vessel." Fjora once again waved a hand and another screen appeared, showing a Rzir supervising countless of K'raws building a Spaceport. "These little creatures were very impressed that they instantly wanted our guidance."

Kzel chuckled, "Well done!"

"We also found a system in the corner of the quadrant. It has a fair amount of distance from the influence of light. This system have twelve planets orbiting a dying star. With our colony ships, we can terraform the system to become our new home."

"Can we harness dark energy in that system?" Kzel asked. He had been told that most of Rzirian technology are powered by dark energy. If he can solve this matter quickly, the Rzirs can operate at their highest capability.

"Yes. But it would present a lot of struggles with our current remaining energy." Fjora's tone gave off the weight of the situation.

"Alright." Kzel paused and scratched his chin, "Show me all the system that were discovered."

Fjora clapped her hands and a sheet of The Fallen Quadrant appeared, revealing five highlighted sectors. "We have discovered five systems that are devoid of intelligent lifeforms."

"What can we do with this systems? Can we collect energies and resources from them?"

"Now that you've mentioned it, your Extreme Enigma, we can send our Harvester Ships and convert the matters into useful ones. We can also turn their young stars into dark stars." Fjora thoughfully answered.

"Do that!" Kzel rolled his fingers, "I also need the K'raws to have the ability of space travel as soon as possible."

When Fjora nodded, Kzel exited the command space and retrieved a magic scroll from his inventory. The reason he asked for his room was not to rest, but a space to operate. He let his mana flow into the scroll and the symbols inscribed on it illuminated the room. A smoke started to rise up and formed a face.

"Ilaz, I'm going to another world to create a new chaos faction." Kzel stated, "I'm in a hurry and I need to know if you and Naevnir will come."

'New world? New chaos faction?' Ilaz took a moment to digest the informations until she turned to another person beside her. There seemed to be an argument before she responded, "Do you have access to the Chaos Archive?"

Kzel shook his head as an answer. Ilaz immediately came to a decision, "We're not coming. We have a mark on you so we'll keep in touch. We have to go. We have a land to conquer."

Ths Rzir rolled the scroll after the connection was lost and put it back in his inventory. He then called out to the cultist stationed outside his room to fetch Aviree and Cleera.

"Are we really going this instant?" Cleera's face showed confusion as she entered the room.

"I already packed all my things. So let's get this over with." Aviree revealed herself with a huge backpack strapped on her shoulders.

"Is this space enough to create a portal?" Kzel motioned to his room.

"Yes." The two women nodded.

Kzel's inventory delivered the Spatial Stone on his hand. He fed it mana as a portal started to form at the center of his room. The mana started to escape his body until all 5000 was depleted, and the portal has yet to take its final form. Without being ordered, Aviree stuck out her hands and sent mana to the stone until the portal reached its desired form.

The Rzir sent Aviree an appreciative glance before waving, "Let's go!"

Without hesitation, Kzel jumped into the cosmic gateway. He was showered by blinding light causing him to cover his eyes while his strength seemed to have abandon him. Next thing he knew, he was standing on a pebbled street surrounded by people.

>>System detected that player has entered a new world!<<

>>Welcome to Gaia! A major spawning point of players.

It both feature western and eastern cultures of Earth decades ago.<<

>>System Planet-wide Announcement!

Chaos Cultists have successfully entered Gaia.<<

Other players who Kzel has yet to encounter during his stay in Infinity were completely baffled. They logged out to the Edge and started to create a discussion page about the new event.

Kzel ignored the messages and surveyed his new surroundings. There were people with a 'V' above their head. He can only come to the conclusion that they were players. Infinity was not only filled with NPCs but other consciousness from the real world aside from him.

When Aviree and Cleera appeared beside Kzel, he started to adjust his plans. He returned the Spatial Stone, still glowing in his hand back to his inventory. The need for a more intimidating presence is a crucial element to subdue the will of the influencial individuals in Gaia. So he must focus on resources. But first, he needed to make a first impression of Chaos in this world.

"What do we do next, Chaos Bringer?" Aviree asked with a disgusted face. She glared at the new race who had been giving her scrutinizing looks.

Kzel summoned his system menu and started to scroll.

'Nothing's special about this village. It's only a leveling spot. It has no mineral deposit or any rare products.'

While Kzel was in deep thought, he did not noticed the crowd of players that started to grow around them.

"Look at those hot NPCs. Let's speak to them. Maybe they have a special quest for us."

"Get the fuck away!" Aviree snarled at them. The players were a bit puzzled from such a weird reaction from an NPC. They did not threatened it but they might have offended it in some way.

"Maybe it's a special NPC. You heard the news right. Some dude was able to rope a powerful NPC as his follower."

Kzel let out a sigh and put on his hood from his red robe, "I decided. Aviree, cleanse this place."

A devilish smile appeared on Aviree's face as she started to float in the air. The players marvelled at the sight, dubious to their coming doom.

"With pleasure!"
