Everybody's system

The point of a system is supposed to be to make the user the strongest right? unfortunately for our protagonist this does not seem to be the case, as everybody gets one, and his seems to be garbage. This is my first original work, I got slightly upset at all the system novels that set up a slow gain of power, then let the protagonist become op within 10 chapters, so I decided to write a system novel of my own where the protagonist can't shake the world with power until he earns it. Enjoy!

Running for his life.

Ken had accidentally started a chain of gyms that was now growing across the country completely out of his control. it had all started when he won his first tournament and used the money to buy a warehouse where he could set up training equipment and whatever was required to do his daily quests without bothering anybody. his accountant had asked if he wanted to make some money off the space when he wasn't using it, he had replied "do whatever you want as long as it doesn't impact my training" and "kong's training room" was born. turns out a gym specifically designed to cater to making daily quests efficient was a popular idea, and across the country almost 50 branches of the training room had popped up in various locations, all supervised by Ken's accountant with basically no input from Ken himself, he didn't even seem to realize just how rich this had made him.

when Ken and Asher walked in the doors of the original warehouse location that morning the receptionist nearly peed herself, the last thing she was expecting was the gyms founder nearly shattering the solid steel door at 4am (this being the original location most of the warehouse atmosphere was preserved, people tended to like it) it took another minute or two for her to notice the bedraggled looking man sanding behind him quietly cursing to himself.

"four in the **** morning..." Asher gasped, he had been dragged out of bed at 3 and forced to run across the city, he knew this was how Ken would operate when he asked for help but he still felt regret with every moment he was awake at this ungodly hour.

"shut up baby" Ken chided him "we would have been here half an hour ago if you hadn't dragged your feet"

"fuuuuuuuuuu..." Asher began, before abruptly cutting himself off noticing the stunned receptionist. "hello"

"hi..." she raised her hand tentatively and gave a small wave

Ken cut in, "is anybody else here right now? we need to use some of the equipment and we would prefer privacy"

she shook her head "nobody comes in until about 4 at the earliest, you have time"

"great thanks!" replied Ken as he barreled off towards his old stomping grounds.

the other man waved and followed him, she watched him as he walked off, normally she didn't like to think about clients this way but he just happened to be her type, maybe she needed to work somewhere where all the men weren't musclebound giants... though it wouldn't be so bad if he kept coming back. she slapped her cheeks, banishing the thought, and continued with her morning routine.
