The first thing Jade did when he drove out was to trace the footprints of the iron lion, as he didn't want to meet it by accident.' The trail goes west, along with the footprints of probably thousands of undead' Jake assessed 'Lovely, my bad luck never fails' he thought, depressed 'I wonder where the lion came from though' his curiosity taking over after confirming his safety.

Jade backtracked the irons lion's footprints through the roads that led north east, on the side of the road were cars, with paw like indentations, which had hit the buildings on edging the side of the road, blood stains on the road and on the side walk but no corpses. The middle of the road though, was totally free.

When he reached a street in the slums of the area, the footprints stopped completely 'It's like it appeared out of nowhere' Jade thought in surprise.

He checked inside the buildings around the end of the trail 'there's nothing that suggests it came from any of these buildings or that it was created in them' Jade thought as he held up the phone he had found in one of the houses he searched.

The screen was turned on as it kept live streaming. Jade stopped the stream and re-watched it. It began with a girl talking about her day to her fans on Simptagram, a selfie stick in hand, the camera centered on her cleavage, barely focusing on her face.

A few minutes in, she heard some noises in the background, and she walked out of her room the camera still facing her cleavage, showing her irritation with the disturbance. Her face turned pale as she saw the cause of the disturbance but before she could scream a hole appeared on her forehead, the cause of which was a green flash, she fell forward dropping the phone and the selfie stick as she lay beside it.

She bled out for some minutes before noticeable changes happened; a grey coating slowly took form seemingly out of nowhere, it was as though her blood had cloth except the cloth was grey, the grey coating increased ,while bubbling, as it took on the shape of what was presumably the missing part of her brain. When the bubbling stopped she got up, with the same pale expression, looking very lean, and she left.

'So she wasn't purposefully modified by something or someone, it just happened naturally. Her simps will miss her' he thought, he then noticed that the internet was still working, he checked, various social media platforms for news about the ongoing situation. He found various posts on the matter:

'It doesn't seem to be happening everywhere at the same time, from the timing of the posts, they seem to have started first in the most developed parts of first world countries to second world countries and then to third world countries. Where are the tea and biscuits, I'm hungry… there is no news about nuclear bombings even with the world going to shit, there's something fishy going on'

[Guys I was doing my usual morning hike, I hike close to a military base this is what I saw video link]

The video showed a mob of monsters charging toward a military base, the mob consisted of a variety of monsters; a giant eight legged lizard surrounded by many smaller lizards similar to it, a giant bipedal monster that looked like a yeti with 5 arms, a glossy silver aberration with 7 bladed arms that walked on 3 legs its head also having five blades protruding from it, each blade about the length of 1 meter, it was lean, its height about 6 feet. There were other monsters in the mob but these stood out as they were at the front and only they acted during the video.

The moment they came in range of the weapons, the yeti in the fore front spreading its arms, its four side arms spread out and the fifth arm, which extended from its upper back, covered its face, as its body ballooned in size and was covered by a violet aura, it absorbed all the damage from the laser cannons, plasma missiles and other weapons, at the end of the ordeal it was only a little charred.

Jade watched in horror wondering 'What on earth can pierce the skin of this monster if none of these weapons can, is the lion also like this?'

When they came within what looked like 500 meters from the base the smaller lizards entered the big lizard's mouth, the big lizard closed its mouth as its throat ballooned, turning red and shining a little as the body temperature of the lizard increased and steam escaped from its closed lips.

The yeti made way for it as it opened its mouth wide, a focused explosion came out of its mouth heading straight for the walls of the base, the walls melted as it made way for the blast to continue further, hitting the facilities in the base which also melted as they gave way for the blast.

The blast lasted for about 4 seconds, the throat of the lizard reverting back to the original size throughout the duration of the blast. After the blast all the affected parts of the base turned red with heat and explode, spreading the damage further in a chain of explosions.

As the base burned, combat robots spawned, coming out from under the debris, firing they're weapons in an attempt to secure the retreat of the surviving military personnel.

The glossy monster walked forward with a relaxed gait... And then it was gone, it turned into an orange blur as it's silver skin was heated by the friction caused by its insane speed, in 2 second all the combat robots were minced, the military personnel were next, but that was where the video ended as the person holding the camera ran away.

Jade thought after reading and watching the other posts 'the attacks aren't random, they go for the most guarded places first, if my guess is correct then most of the world should be under attack by now the time being 4:56pm. The attacks have been going on for a week

It seems they started the day I got caught. How weird… Oh! That must be why the soldiers didn't have time for me anymore they must have been dealing with this kind of problem in Abuja (the capital). I don't know who or what caused this but I appreciate the help'

Jade pocketed the phone with a smile and got on the bike, driving west, 'if the world is under attack, I better prepare myself for it, the sniper I have is good, but considering there are monsters like that yeti it wouldn't be impossible to encounter something that can't be hurt with the best new gen weapons… regardless I'll feel safer if I'm around weapons that can do better than the sniper and the only place I can get those is my base, which is in Western Lagos, which is the direction the lion headed to *sigh* well it's not like I can seek refuge in any other place, since most military bases would have become debris by now'
