Chen Peiling Was Introduced To Cheng Qi.

"That means she is an angel in real too?" His voice spewed out saccharinity as he moved his eyes to see the back of Zhao Yuhui dreamily.

A smack from Xu Dong brought him out of that dreamland. "Don't keep your perverted eyes on her. She might get uncomfortable."

"Uncomfortable? Did she say that?"

Xu Dong met the eyes of Cheng Qi and scratched his forehead while replying, "No but we assumed it since she always stays alone."

"Oh- WAIT WHAT? You met her too!? When?"

"Well..." Xu Dong awkwardly laughed, "Yesterday, before our practice match."

"Damn you! Why you guys did not inform us?"

Cheng Qi pulled a stop to this conversation and mocked. "Why? To let her know that it was not just me who she was in a group with, but a whole bunch of useless dullards!"

"You can't think of your friends like that!"

"Don't worry! He said 'group of dullards', he is including himself too."

Cheng Qi held his forehead and realised that working on this project was never going to be easy.

It was afternoon when their classes ended. Cheng Qi somehow sneaked away from his friends and ran to the library where he had told Zhao Yuhui to come. That was the only place his friends despised going.

As expected, she was already there reading the file.

"You are here." She did notice him gasping but did not comment.

"My friends...it was hard to get away from them," he breathed in.

"Do you want water?"

"No, that's alright." He took a seat and asked, "Have you read it?"

"Just did."

"So did you decide on a topic?"

"There are two that I liked. But I need to hear your preference first." He did most of the work and in the end, if she ended up selecting something he did not like, what would be the point of even being in a group?

"My preference...I am fine with all of them. I only selected the ones that seemed interesting."

"Still..."

"Let's do one thing then. Shall we go through each topic and discuss in detail why we should do it and why we shouldn't?"

"I liked the idea."

After a long time, three hours had already passed when they selected the topic.

When they were planning what needed to be done, Zhao Yuhui's phone rang.

"Excuse me." She said before picking up the call. "You are already here?"

"Give me five minutes. I will be there."

She kept the phone down. "I might need to go right now. Is it possible that we talk about it tomorrow?"

"Sure. We have done a lot for the first day."

They packed their bags and walked to the parking lot. Zhao Yuhui had told him she could go alone but he insisted to walk her there.

Zhao Yuhui dialled the number of her assistant after coming to parking lot. Because of so many cars that were parked there, she could not find her car. "I am here. Where are you?"

"Alright. Make it soon."

Afterwards, she looked at Cheng Qi and spoke, "If you want to, you can return now. She has gone to buy coffee, she would be here in some time."

"It's alright. I will give you company till then."

Zhao Yuhui gave him a small smile.

Soon after, a black car was pulled inside the parking lot. Zhao Yuhui saw it stopping on the other side after taking a reverse. "My assistant is here. Come, let me introduce you two."

Cheng Qi wanted to deny however couldn't as she had already walked forward. He could only mumble at her back from far. "There is no need..."

He wouldn't have given her company till here too if it hadn't been for his friends. Now that they knew he was already acquainted with her, he was afraid that they would go to her and introduce themselves like-

'We are friends of Cheng Qi! We consider friends of the friend as our friends!'

He only wished to save himself from that embarrassment.

"Cheng Qi! Why are you still standing there?" shouted Zhao Yuhui after not finding him behind her. She finished saying something to the one in the driver's seat through the window and stood beside the car as she signalled him to come over.

"Coming." He said under his breath and went there.

Chen Peiling turned off the engine and bent down to pick up her phone which fell earlier when she drove through the speed breaker.

Coincidentally, Cheng Qi instinctively looked inside the window as he passed through the drivers seat before coming to halt beside Zhao Yuhui. He only saw long brown hair at a glance.

"Here it is." She grabbed the phone and came out of the car. Zhao Yuhui was standing beside a man around the same age as them with their backs facing her. "Sister Zhao."

A sweet voice caused them both to turn around. Zhao Yuhui was the first one to rotate, seconds faster than Cheng Qi. Cheng Qi swivelled right on the time of seeing a small smile being passed at Zhao Yuhui.

She was a young lady who...his brows furrowed. He blinked his eyes and again went through the features of the girl and the next second, broke into a fit of coughing with an instant realization.
