The enemy trap

The human fleet was already within firing range of the missiles and proton torpedoes; Odin had been waiting for that moment for a long time.

"To all ships fire"

The one hundred and twenty ships that the humans had launched had a myriad of thermonuclear missiles; however, they had not started their course when hundreds of enemy fighters became visible, firing on the missiles and torpedoes already launched, shooting them down before they could detonate.

"Shit, those sons of bitches have learned to fire at all ships at will, deploy fighters and mechas…"

Without the technical advantage of the missiles and their great destructive capacity, only direct confrontation remained. Proton and electromagnetic pulse missiles continued to be fired, but for each missile launched, two enemy fighters appeared to intercept it, reducing the distance between the fleets. If the use of weapons of mass destruction was ruled out, the human ships themselves could be affected.
