It seemed like a lifetime, and it had really been just a few years, but war changes people's entire perspective and even their personalities.

With the war, the hunting safaris of the elites and the very rich were cancelled, this had allowed the population of large predators to have a complete and expansive reproductive cycle. Overpopulation had reached the point that the largest and strongest in that species had begun to eat the weak. It was natural law, the norm.
