The convoy advanced towards the nearby system. In the plan, there were gaps and problems to be resolved. From the records of the captured ships, they knew that the convoy of transport ships would head towards a specific point; however, the course that the escort ships, the destroyers, took was different every time.
They could not guess to what point they had to direct the ships or at what exact moment to separate, but the best thing was to continue together until the instructions arrived. The moment the transport ships separated, they would enter the unknown, and their role would be much more difficult than that of the destroyers.
The plan was simple: they would get as close as they could, and at that moment they would open the hangar and flee in stealth mode on the cruisers; hopefully the transponders of the captured ships would open the space tunnel back for them.
