The curse of James

"Christian you need to take it easy for now…" Clarence whispers Christians' head slants to the side, his eyes losing all color. He hunches over hobbling on his legs with his knees bent.

A strong hand bust through the door smashing it completely, Steel pulls out her book from her side.

The creature looked neither vampire nor human, its skin very pale with bulging biceps ripping deep into its clothing, it lets out gargling shouts staggering in.

"The sleeping maiden must be awakened, Clarence…" Steel shouts, "Knock the door down if you can!"

Christian feet glide across the floor catching the beast's hands wrestling it down with his own strength alone, "Steel, Christian has entered the altered state!" Alice yells worriedly.

He manages to push the thing back against the wall pinning it, Clarence beats into the door yelling and screaming putting pressure into the door, "This door was meant to keep us from escaping!"

"MA-AR-A!" It screeches shaking in Christian's grip, its eyes light up as its skin easily tears, Christian drops his constraint realizing it did not intend to move.

"Mara?" Christian's possessed self asks, "The princess?"

Steel puts her book down under her arm instead of proceeding to call her Fae, "You are cursed…"

"Steel…who did your last master lock in here?" Clarence asks, Steel bites her thumb looking away trying to think. Suddenly she recalls a young man with eyes of all black come into the house and never exiting.

Steel had just finished her initiation into the clan so she was very new to the clan at the time; a man came in with her master who at the time had invited him to stay to discuss something.

She recalls the door shutting to the torture room, Steel never questioned who was with her master and why, "James…you must tell me where the Crystal Queen's child is resting." Her master smiled.

"James…your name is James…" Steel shouts, "Master cursed you!"

The creature's eyes became lively trying to utter words with his hands, they wave up and down almost as if the creature was crying.

"Maybe Chara knows what we can do for him Steel!" Clarence replies feeling guilty observing its eyes attempting to vocalize something from deep inside.

"Master Alex is in trouble Steel, I need to go now." Christian states taking Alice by the hand.

"Wait please, do not go alone! Let me get Doctor Carol to watch James please!" Steel responds.

Alice walks up to the locked door placing her hand out at the knob, they all hear it click open; Alice only giggles a little, "My luck of the rabbit is blooming more and more it seems."

"James please stay right here for a little bit, please! I won't leave you again here." Steel answers excitedly, Clarence stays with James momentarily waiting for Steel to come back after she dashes off.

Doctor Carol comes in very tired, he sees James from afar almost instantly turning back around unsure how to react, "Steel, please tell me I am hallucinating."

Steel smacks him upside the head, "That isn't how he truly looks, Carol!"

"Do that again Steel…oh wait I remember you." Doctor Carol states.

"Steel, I can't wait anymore we have to go now! Elijah is there!" Christian shouts racing to the door, Alice chases after Christian carrying Alex's book.

"Fine, I will meet you there! You better not die!" Steel warns pointing at Christian.

"Don't you dare over abuse Christian's body…" Clarence reminds the Devils Assistant; he glares back at Christian who shuts the door with nothing further to say.

Alice waves at them both, "See you there Steel!"

Steel takes James's hand lightly helping him walk out of the room locking it behind her; Doctor Carol decides to run to his office to ready the tables for a checkup, but James motions no need for that silently through his actions.

Doctor Carol and Steel stand there confused about what to do, "How do we undo the curse on James?" Steel asks curiously walking around to view the entirety of his features.

"We should ask Chara, she is the closest thing next to Witch of the mountain?"Doctor Carol suggests.

"She is our best bet...James, you need to come with us!"

"James, did you close the door on us when you sensed us?"

He slowly nods up and down, "It's only lucky we visited the room then..."Steel thinks to herself.

"Isn't he the disciple of death Steel?"

"I forgot about that part..."

They both look at him, he stares back signaling with his hands worrying.

"We need to find out what happened in that room later..."Doctor Carol recommends studying the door.
