Struggle

Looking out the window Dominique was getting used to the silence as of late, he was forced to stay in his room till the mourning rituals had ended.

He was finally well-rested enough to go out again, multiple thumps on the door draws concern for Dominique, he peeks outside the door.

A large assembly is at the double doors, they are completely open, he pushes through the crowd, a couple of the members were surrounded around a body.

Covered in a full white sheet, Dominique shuffles backward after quickly recognizing something as simple as her hand and her jewelry.

He hits the ground darting down the hall he bumps into Trinity, falling back to the floor she crawls on his knee's holding tight her long gown.

"Dominique...Sophia..." Trinity dunks down hugging him lightly, "She is gone..."

"Why Sophia..." Dominique whispers in the flurry of confusion, "I loved you..."

The silence was uncomfortable, she takes his hands getting up from the ground.

"I am so sorry Dominique..."

Dominique slightly smiles, he places his hand over his face letting himself laugh, he thrusts out a loud hardy shriek of delight heaving out to only continue to giggle.

The whole congregation turns to gawk at Dominique going what they think are the motions of grief, Chara practically glides across the floor to reach Dominique.

Chara grabs his arm taking him back to his room, sitting on the end of the bed he starts to bawl, he peels his gloves letting them hit the floor.

Rubbing his eyes, "It's all my fault...it's all my fault...it's all my fault..." Dominique kept saying over and over, Chara becomes distressed watching him suffer.

"Dominique...it's not all your fault, why do you keep this up?"

He springs up from the bed, swinging his arm in mid-air almost assaulting Chara.

"You don't know anything Chara, without absolution you are wrong about that statement, I will make you regret that!" Dominique says lashing out.

Tossing the lamp directly at her, she dodges sprinting out the door slamming it behind her, "I am your only friend now Dominique..."

He looks back at the window, Avic is perched on the window ledge, "You..."

"Oh my...what is that look?"

"You are part of this whole damn sick thing Avic!"

"You are mistaken, she took her own life...Gavyn's death broke the spell."

"Surely you are lying Avic." Dominique asks, "Poor Sophia..."

Avic leaps her from her seat at the window to take Dominique's face in her hands to give him a passionate kiss, "You are now forever mine Dominique..."

He slithers down to the ground, his eyes feel heavy; Dominique's eyes gape below him, "Yes...Lady Avic..."

"Who was Gavyn and Sophia again?" Avic questions, he looks up at her in a trance.

"They were no one Lady Avic..."

"That's right, they were no one...no one at all. Now sleep, Dominique."

Dominique collapses to the ground, everything stops around them to have the images scrambled going to black, "Save him...he doesn't deserve to suffer..."

A voice softly in what sounds like static rising against the voice, "Please..."

Christian stands before a crumpled Dominique bowing down to check him.

Dominique's eyes open, he gets back up, "So you broke the spell, Christian?"

Grabbing his face smashing his head against the wall, Christian howls in pain.

A dim glow from Christian's eye caused Dominique to back away, "I can help you, Dominique!"

"I don't need your help!" Dominique shouts violently swatting the air in confusion.

Christian removes his eye patch holding his eye readying it to be used when Dominique bashes him awake, he rises from his sleep becoming aware.

Footsteps on the hard floor have him remembering the memories he saw of Dominique and every single he would get scared of Avic.

Rushing to Alex's room "Dominique knows I am free of his spell!" Christian shouts at a sleeping Trinity, she barely registers Christian talking.

"It's the middle of the day Christian...go back to sleep please..." Trinity scolds, she lays her head back down over the top of Alex's comforter.

James is still stuck in a trance becoming unmovable, "Were trapped in this prison..."

"Would you prefer your chains again Christian?" A loud voice thunders at the doorway, Trinity turns her attention to Dominique.

Intimidated Christian blushes wildly, "Gavyn, still cares about you! YOU IDIOT!"

"The only thing I see right in front of me is a greenhorn beginner."

"Dominique...this isn't who you are yet you keep up this relentless act!"

"Do not tell me who I am Christian..."

"Yet I could feel the heart inside of you fighting...striving to keep them whole."

"There is no one, but Avic...or do you want to be something more to me?"

He strides in front of Christian kicking his foot into his face sending him into the wall, grabbing him up by the hairs he slams him several times.

"Enough Master Dominique!" Trinity tells him off, "How can you be so cruel?"

Bringing out his dagger he slams it deep into Christian's eye socket with the sigil multiple times, when his arms go limp convulsing in pain; he snags his arm up kissing his palm.

Throwing the dagger to the floor, Christian is completely dazed and shaky wobbling to his feet, Dominique taking his claws stabbing in the stomach.

He falls on the bed on top of Alex, "Why don't you activate the Devils Assistant?"

"I..I..." Christian replies clenching tight to Alex's body, "I can't..."

Christian passes out, "You are purposely trying to force the Devil's Assistant Master Dominique?"

"Not necessarily, but I realized he is avoiding utilizing it."

"You plan to not give him a choice..."

"When Alex perishes they will all perish and Alice becomes mine."

Trinity concludes there is no good in his heart anymore, "Do as you wish..."

"Are you finally giving up?"

"I can't give up for your salvation!" Trinity argues, "You are merely lost!"

"Avic found the true me!"

"You found nothing!" Trinity yells back, Dominique wants to strangle her but stops himself reversing his position merely walking out saying nothing at all.

"Will you both be enough to stop Dominique?" Trinity mournfully asks out loud, the book on the stand beside Alex starts to glow.

Trinity finds herself strolling over to receive it in her hands paging through its thick pages, "I call upon you, please help your new master Vepar!"
