Chapter 26: Romania

Mordred was currently training with Souji, he clashed against Meredith who was getting up to speed as Tiamat's knight.

Kusanagi crashed against her holy nail that was turned into a sword. And the devils had to watch their spar through a camera.

"That's really dangerous... It's giving me chills just by looking at the stray energy due to their fight." Rias shuddered. Kiba and Tosca also felt terrified, imagining themselves being in there gave them a sinking feeling.

"Yeah, just being in the vicinity of that can kill low class devils. And they're not even using their full power. The whole underworld would be on our asses if they unleash their powers." Souji frowned at their weapons.

Mordred's Kusanagi would smite a filthy devil with a clean hit, no questions asked. Even Ajuka or Sirzechs will be fatally wounded if they get stabbed by that thing.

Meredith's Alphecca tyrant is releasing holy energy in waves that makes them shudder. Even Souji won't want to fight her if he could help it.

"Let's end this here for now, the others can't spar if we use our live blades." Mordred nodded at Meredith with a smile.

"You did good Meredith, the filthy royal family that can't even own up to their mistakes don't hold a candle to you." Mordred smiled at her while patting her head.

"Hehe~ Thanks a lot!" Meredith beamed and Rias pouted at him. "Am I not doing a great job?" She was being clingy and Meredith rolled her eyes.

"Of course you are Rias. Instead of being the typical filthy devil. You are training hard to be strong." Mordred gave her a thumbs up.

She was happy with his praise, but she was dissatisfied that he did not pet her head.

"Ria-tan! I have a prospective member for your peerage!" Sirzechs came barreling in their dojo and Grayfia soon followed with a facepalm.

"Lucifer-sama, you are being inappropriate. We have guests here with us." Grayfia scolded him and he saw Mordred and Meredith.

"Ahh, that's fine. It's just Mordred and his friend." Sirzechs shrugged and Grayfia glared at him.

"A new peerage member nii-sama?" Rias got excited and Mordred was interested in it too.

"Yeah, I got news that some Dhampirs are being mistreated by their own factions~" Sirzechs smiled and he even got information that one of them can stop time.

Sirzechs also did this with Kiba and Tosca. He shamelessly helped his sister get strong peerage members.

Kiba has sword birth after all, and Tosca has a sacred gear that can make strong barriers. Even stop time. That was actually the reason she was able to survive.

She suspended herself in a barrier that stopped time so the poison couldn't kill her. And before the church could investigate the project site. Sirzechs broke it with his power of destruction and they healed her.

"Hoh? You're such a doting brother, Satan Lucifer." Mordred understood that he was trying to give Rias strong servants.

"Hmph, it's only natural that I give the best to my Ria-tan! But you did take a lot of them." Sirzechs grumbled at Mordred taking tons of Longinus wielders.

"Heh, a king only deserves the best as well Sirzechs." Mordred snorted.

"So? When do we go?" Rias composed herself and sat in a seiza position. She also wanted to test her blade herself.

She has been training with Souji and Venelana for some time now. And she can coat her sword with the power of destruction without turning it into dust.

"You leave for Romania tonight. You never know when a chance might appear after all." Sirzechs shrugged and Mordred knew he was lying.

As a Satan, he most likely put a lot of effort in this. And he won't send Rias there to infiltrate them herself.

"We'll come too, this seems interesting. Isn't that right Meredith?" Mordred smiled and Sirzechs didn't mind.

It actually works in their favor. If some unseen circumstance appears. Then they would cut them down like paper.

His group was filled with ultimate class fighters. And he doesn't even know about Lavinia and Mordred that can transcend that even further.

With the former being able to use her balance breaker. While Mordred using Grendel's power.

"Alright, I'll go call everyone else." Meredith disappeared in a magic circle.

"We'll see you in Romania Rias." Mordred disappeared as well and the redhead prepared for their trip.

"Kiba, Tosca. Go on and pack for a trip, we will be scouring the place for our new family member. And nii-sama, I assume that my new servant would be in a position where we could retrieve him/her?" Rias smirked at her brother.

"Ahhh, my Ria-tan is growing up as a proper devil. Yes, they seem to have plans in escaping. Do what you will with that information." Sirzechs chuckled and Rias nodded.

"Thank you for this opportunity nii-sama." Rias bowed at him and Grayfia pointed at Rias. "Look, even Rias-sama is better at you in being dignified." Grayfia glared at him.

"T-that's only natural Grayfia. She is my wonderful sister after all." Sirzechs tried to worm his way out of it.

"You have abandoned a lot of your work to set this up for her. And you will be working hard in order to reduce your backlog." Grayfia dragged him out of there.

"I can't help you with that nii-sama. Grayfia is scary after all." Rias prayed for his soul, but she suddenly had a headache due to her actions.

Mordred met up with the complete gang and he even loaned Masaomi his Dojigiri. And the exorcist was looking at it like it was his firstborn child.

"Are you going to make out with that sword?" Cleria huffed at him because Masaomi is spacing out.

"Uh, wha? No!?" Masaomi got nervous because he was ignoring Cleria.

"Then why aren't you sure?" Cleria squinted her eyes at him.

"Can you guys do that crap later?" Ise rolled her eyes and they saw the others stare at them with deadpan eyes.

"Ahem, we'll be going to Romania. Let us exterminate these filthy vampires. They do nothing but prey on humans. Treat them as blood bags." Mordred squinted his eyes.

Dulio, Masaomi, and Cleria is a branch of their group that are investigating potential enemies. And vampires were definitely one that is at the top of their list.

They're more arrogant than even the devils. And the horrors they put the populace through is simply terrible.

The humans under them live in fear that their heads would get ripped off like a bottle cap on a drink. Vampires were simply disgusting individuals that need to be hunted down.

They managed to find out that the Tepes faction and Camilla faction. Which are one of the oldest vampire houses were having a war against each other.

And their mission would be to check if they were a danger to the people of Romania, which is most likely the case. Then it's an extermination.

"Look at my Mordred, he's going to lead a pretty big mission." Tiamat hugged him and was proud of their progress.

"Yes mom, we're going to exterminate these filthy vampires. The people of Romania will be at peace." Mordred was eager to start his self imposed mission.

It wasn't just to help the people against factions that would involve them in their collateral damage due to their conflicts.

"We'll be sending a message. If the other factions try to be just like these filthy vampires and endanger innocent people? Extermination will be our reply." Mordred's soul was burning with determination.

Everything they were doing was for this exact situation.

"Those vampires better be good, or we'll show them something real nice~" Kuroka licked her lips.

All of them were actually prepared to fuck them over. Especially the red dragon empress who is eager to unlock her balance breaker.

"Ddraig, you think I'll have it here? I have trained for this very day." Ise clenched her fist.

"You might, partner. Remember, sacred gears respond to your desires." Ddraig reminded her.

"Mordred, can I fight the leader of these vampires if we ever do need to eliminate them?" Ise requested and he nodded with a smile.

"Yes, we'll leave them to you if ever." Mordred agreed and it was something a dragon would do to gain more strength.

"I'll beat the shit out of them." Ise was all fired up and some electricity sparked from her body.

Mordred and Tiamat noticed that, which made them smile at her. She was definitely close to it. Ise just needs a breakthrough. A real fight that would push her.

"Let's go nya, I already have my sweets stocked up." Shirone wanted to prove herself by making some vampires explode with her punches.

"Many parents and children are on the line, I also advise us to go now and check out the surroundings." Dulio squinted his eyes.

"Hmph, let's show these guys what Dragon nest is made of." Vali smirked and she was itching for a proper fight.

They disappeared in a magic circle and Tiamat also followed stealthily. "They might get themselves in trouble again. I doubt it, but it's a Mama's job to protect her child." She nodded sagely and went to Romania as well, hiding her aura and magic.

Arriving at the European country, the first thing they noticed is that the place was gloomy as hell. There were no people around and a fog was making the visibility bad.

"Hmm, I can feel it. The people are scared and paranoid. This fog certainly does not help." Mordred sniffed the air and he could smell their fear.

It angered him to no end. Just normal people of the modern era that has no knowledge of the supernatural. Fearing for their lives because a lot of people go missing.

They can do nothing but hide in their homes. Which is not even a place where they can be safe. "These people do not even have protectors. Where's the exorcists that should be keeping tabs on them?" Mordred shook his head in disappointment once again.

The church brings him nothing but disappointment, time and time again.

"What did you expect of the church Mo-kun? They can't even keep their own members in line. Of course they don't care about a place like Romania." Lavinia sighed.

"Well, whatever these bloodsuckers are doing. We need to know it at once and kill them all." Vali had a manic grin on her face.

"Calm yourself partner, we need to see what the situation is first." Albion warned her and Vali shrugged.

"Albion is correct, come on. We should investigate now." Dulio was getting impatient.

"My kin, spread out. Report after three hours, learn everything you can about the situation here in Romania." Mordred ordered and they saluted.

Everybody disappeared and hid their magical signatures.

Meredith went with Lavinia though, Alphecca tyrant is a great core for a barrier. The redhead stabs her nails around a perimeter and then Lavinia uses it to be the heart of a barrier.

They boxed in everything inside Romania. And they all added their mana to the cores. Making it nigh unbreakable. Unless a Satan class person tries to break it.

And it won't break the whole thing even if they do break a part of it. With Meredith planting multiple cores for the barrier.

"Oh, hi Mordred! Did you learn anything yet?" Rias arrived with her two servants and they checked in with Mordred.

"They should be arriving in a bit, they're investigating for me. And no Rias, you won't be having any help from me. At least directly." Mordred crossed his arms and Rias pouted.

"Okayyy~ I just wanted some information anyways. But I would be preventing you from helping me get my servant anyway." She shrugged and he nodded at her.

"That's good, you have already received some help from Sirzechs. I would have actually worked against you if you demanded help." Mordred revealed and she got nervous a bit.

"Well, you did teach us all to take what we want ourselves. So I refused nii-sama's help as well. I'll recruit my new servant by myself." Rias shrugged and he patted her head.

"That's it, at least you listened to me." Mordred smiled and she blushed.

"O-of course. You went out of your way to train us and teach us how to be a dignified king." Rias beamed and Kiba rolled his eyes.

"With that dopey smile on her face, she really doesn't." Tosca smiled wryly.

Rias and her servants went away to get some more information and Mordred's kin returned with what they found out.

"As expected, they are going around collecting humans for some reason. Well, the Tepes faction is. The Carmilla faction is actually losing quite a bit due to a sudden gain in strength and an army of ghouls." Dulio reported.

They had a pretty good idea where the ghouls came from. But the vampires suddenly gaining strength? They would need more info about that.

Mordred's eyes went ice cold. "We have our targets my kin. We shall show them how dragons deal with insects." Mordred took out Caliburn.

"Mordred, the daughter of king Tepes is planning an escape with the patriarch's son of the Vladi clan. I bet that one of them is Rias' prospective servant." Lavinia revealed some good info.

"I see, anyone learn of their powers?" Mordred took out Kusanagi as well and his blades were slowly turning white with divine energy.

"Ooh, I got something good nya~ Gasper Vladi, the boy has the sacred gear, forbidden Balor view. He also got birthed in his true form. A shadowy thing that is like a bootleg version of Apophis' shadows." Kuroka raised her hand.

"Good work Kuroka, you truly are the best infiltrator among us. Then we wait for them to escape first. This would be our only help to Rias and the escapees." Mordred looked at the direction of the Tepes castle.

His kin and Tiamat's peerage went behind him. All of them activated their sacred gears. Everyone transformed and the mana around them started to get visible due to it saturating.

"Tonight, we exterminate a faction." Mordred announced and their eyes started glowing.
