27 Chapter 27: Extermination

Two children were running with all their strength, huffing and puffing. A blonde girl with red eyes and a blond boy with violet eyes.

"W-we have to run faster Gasper. They're going to gain on us." The girl had a fearful expression on her face. She did not want to go back to the Tepes castle at all.

"Valerie... I'm getting too tired... Go on and leave me behind, please." Gasper stopped. His knees were shaking, lacking the physical endurance needed to escape.

"Don't you talk like that! Are you stupid! We're going to get out of here together." Valerie glared at him and he nodded.

"Y-yeah, but I can't continue anymore Valerie. Leave me behind, please. You have to be free at least." Gasper smiled at her and she put his arm over her shoulder.

"We get out of here together!" Valerie exclaimed. Even when her legs felt as heavy as lead. Even when her head was throbbing with a migraine. She soldiered on for their freedom.

"V-Valerie... We won't make it if you help me. Please, go on and leave me behind. I can't let you get captured with me." Gasper looked at her. His face, filled with anxiety.

"Shut up, we can do this. We're so close... Argh!" Valerie suddenly dropped to the ground and clutched her head in pain.

"Valerie! What's happening to you!?" Gasper panicked and he heard something.

"Their trail is here! We need to go get them!" Distant voices were getting nearer and nearer.

"Valerie, talk to me! Please!" Gasper held onto her and she was gritting her teeth.

"Stop shouting in my head!" Valerie's eyes were bloodshot and she started huffing and puffing.

"What's the matter Valerie? No one was shouting at you." Gasper was anxious and she put a hand on his shoulder with a warm expression on her face.

"Gasper, this is the end of the line for me. I've overused my sacred gear due to the Tepes faction. I can't go on, but you can." Valerie explained to him and she was sweating bullets. Powering through the pain and voices in her head.

"No! You said it, we have to go together! Come on, I'll stall them. You run away while I do so!" Gasper tried helping her, but Valerie couldn't muster the strength to even stand.

"Gasper, listen to me. You're my only friend..." She looked him in the eye and he started crying.

"I am important to the Tepes, Gasper... They won't kill me, but they will kill you." Valerie strained against the side effects of using her sacred gear.

"B-but... We planned this, we're in this together!" Gasper's face scrunched up.

"Y-yeah, that's why I'll stall them for you. They're coming Gasper... Live for me, please. It's enough to know that you will have a good life." Valerie smiled at him softly and pushed him with all of her remaining strength.

She then clutched her head in pain and Valerie started screaming. "Get out! Get out of my head!" Gasper listened to her with tears in her eyes.

He gritted his teeth and could do nothing. He was too weak to carry her. He wasn't even sure that he would manage to outrun their pursuers.

"Damn it, damn it all!" He started running, albeit slowly. But he didn't hear anymore shouting or pursuers.

His lungs were on fire. His knees that were shaking suddenly made him slip on a rock and he fell down on the ground face first.

Gasper then curled himself and he sobbed silently. "Why? Why am I not strong enough? Why did Valerie have to go back there? She had to sacrifice herself for me."

While he wallowed in regret and frustration, he saw crimson red hair and he got alarmed.

"W-who are you?" He backed off slowly at the new arrivals.

"Fufufu~ What do we have here, a dhampir that's lost? Or one who escaped?" Rias smirked at him and Gasper thought she would bring him back to his house.

"Stay back!" He glared at them and Rias chuckled. "Don't be alarmed little boy, I am a devil. And I have an offer for you." Rias went up to him slowly.

"A devil!? W-what do you want?" He cowered at her as he heard that devils are tricksters and liars.

"You barely got out of there with your life. How about you live for me? If you get out of here, you'll be hunted by vampire hunters you know?" She reminded him of that fact and Gasper froze.

They forgot about vampire hunters. And they don't have an inkling on how to use magic in order to hide their magical signatures or disguise themselves.

Gasper thought about it for a good minute. "C-can you save Valerie too?" Gasper asked hopefully.

"You already know the answer to that. There are tons of vampires that recovered her. Adults too mind you, I have to remind you that I am still a child." Rias sighed.

Gasper deflated at that, Rias and her servants actually only managed to kill the pursuers that branched out of the main group.

And that was through an ambush. They can't realistically save Valerie. Even though she was interested in her too.

Sirzechs after all told her that she possesses a strong sacred gear. Though his informant wasn't able to make sure what it was.

"I... Valerie sacrificed herself for me to live. But how do I know that you won't mistreat me too?" He hissed and Rias raised her hand before her servants were able to talk.

"You don't. You just have to accept and find out. But my servants certainly don't look to be in bad condition." Rias pointed at Kiba and Tosca.

"I agree... But if you cross me, I will do everything to take you down." He glared at them and was able to stop time on them for a quick second.

And due to the small trust he put in them, he fainted. The strain and exhaustion claiming his consciousness.

Rias put her mutated bishop piece inside of him and smiled. "He will be strong, you will live well in my peerage."

Kiba lifted him up and asked her something. "Rias-sama, where is Mordred-sama and his peerage in all of this? I would've thought that he would at least check up on you." Kiba was curious.

"Mordred huh? I don't know, but there's something huge going to happen here. I can feel it." Rias looked around and she could sense the ridiculously strong barrier that was boxing the place in.

Mordred coming with her to get her new servant wasn't suspicious in any way. But bringing his whole peerage? Something big is going to happen.

"We should honestly leave here. Mordred is planning something. I know him, he's bringing in everybody in his team. And you guys know that all of them are ultimate class." Rias squinted her eyes.

"R-right, we shouldn't meddle in whatever lord Mordred wants to do." Tosca shuddered. She was having a bad feeling.

"Come on, let's-" Before Rias could order them to pack up and go, thick lightning hit the Tepes castle. The barrier on it rippled and trembled violently before it shattered.

"Oh, that's what he has in store. I gotta record this for Deviltube. My channel is so going to explode. After all, the cameraman never dies." Rias took out a camera and started recording.

__Earlier__

"Nya, I've got eyes on the prize. The daughter of the Tepes and the son of Vladi are running away nya." Kuroka reported as she looked at them from afar.

"Hmm, do you know what they're talking about? Any important info from them?" Mordred asked curiously.

"No nya, but the Tepes girl did say that she overtaxed herself with her sacred gear. Ahh, the boy ran away after she pushed him away." Kuroka sighed and thought it was quite pitiful.

They had quite the similar past to her and Shirone. So she understood how painful it must be for Gasper to leave his friend there to stall time.

"Hmm, so it is time? Come on then. I will be giving the first attack." Mordred flew to the skies and he raised the Kusanagi.

Clouds gathered and he swung down his sword. Divine lightning fell down, followed by a deafening thunderclap that cut through the air.

The Tepes castle's barrier got destroyed like it was a piece of paper.

"Balance breaker!" Lavinia and Vali shouted. The former donning on a regal, white dress. An ice diadem on her head appearing.

Vali equipped her scale mail and the blue wings of divine dividing shimmered in the night sky.

Lavinia formed a dome of ice around the Tepes castle. Trapping them inside of it as a blizzard that would freeze anything raged just outside of the castle.

Kuroka and Shirone then broke through the heavy doors of the castle. "Suprise nya!" Kuroka shouted and smacked a vampire that was right in front of her.

The vampire's head exploded into a bloody mist. Her body was coated with a white film. And she was also releasing a green aura. Just like Shirone, they were using touki and senjutsu skillfully.

As for the vampires, they were too shocked to do anything. So the two nekoshous started killing everything in sight.

"Who are you people!?" King Tepes shouted in anger, flaring his aura which was in ultimate class.

"Who we are does not matter, your crimes against humanity is too many, bloodsucker." Mordred scoffed.

He gritted his teeth. "We did not do anything to you! We do not warrant an attack like this!" King Tepes tried to buy some time.

"No more words are needed for dead men walking. Struggle as much as possible yeah?" Mordred taunted him and Ise stepped up.

"So this old guy who looks like a shitty villain from TV is the leader right?" Ise cracked her neck and raised her left arm in the air.

"Boost!" Ddraig's voice shouted and her gauntlet appeared.

"T-the boosted gear... What is the red dragon of domination doing here!?" King Tepes was surprised.

"You'll find out soon." Ise started boosting more and more and her power is increasing exponentially.

"Attack them!" The vampire felt their elite soldiers and ghouls arriving. And they started attacking.

With one more boost, Ise breathed in deeply and released a torrent of dragon flames on them.

She continued pouring in magic power and her red flames started turning white due to the amount of mana it had.

When the flames died down, all what's left is nothing of the ghouls.

The vampires managed to hold on, though. Which made Mordred raise a brow at their increased strength. There were too many high class vampires.

"Hmph, I'll take care of you with my fists then. Instant transmission!" Ise put two fingers on her forehead and she reappeared in the middle of their crowd.

She then started attacking them with her martial arts. While she killed them by taking off their heads and blowing up their torsos, she kept on boosting herself.

"No way, they are still outclassed." King Tepes was in disbelief.

"Hah! You've seen nothing yet old coot! Kaioken!" She shouted and began using touki and senjutsu.

"Does she really need to call it that?" Shirone rolled her eyes and Mordred shrugged.

Ise moved as a blur, but using senjutsu and touki along with the boosted gear does exhaust her fast.

"You're next, you prick." Ise pointed at King Tepes and he gritted his teeth.

"You think you can beat me! I'm invincible! Witness the culmination of changes that the Sephiroth Graal gave me!" He ballooned in size and King Tepes' strength shot up to Satan class.

"Vali, quick. Get the Tepes girl. She has the Sephiroth Graal!" Mordred pieced the puzzle immediately and Vali flew away as a streak of blue light.

"I'll kill you all! The Tepes will be the strongest faction in the world!" King Tepes released a punch towards Ise.

She jumped to the air and his strike on the floor shook the whole castle. Causing earthquakes that turned it into rubble.

"Hah, then I'll have to do this! Kaioken x 10!" Ise shouted and Ddraig's voice followed with an announcement. "Explosion!"

Her stored boosts went into overdrive and her power increased even further. Matching King Tepes' aura.

"Come here! You're nothing without your gauntlet!" King Tepes controlled the shadows and spears of it tried to skewer her.

"Shut up! You stretch Armstrong looking shit that got filled with water!" Ise dodged all of the magic and she appeared right in front of him.

She smashed her left arm right on his chest. King Tepes managed to cross his arms, mitigating the damage. But he did slid across the floor for a few meters.

"Weak! I will kill you and go next to your friends!" He roared and the shadows grasped her legs.

"Shit!" Ise kicked them off, but the vampire arrived right in front of her and she blocked a punch with her gauntlet.

She flew away and crashed through the wall. Piercing it, worrying the others.

"Let her be, this is her battle." Mordred squinted his eyes. He wanted to interfere, but it was Ise's request to fight him herself.

"Kuahahaha! See, I will win this!" King Tepes laughed arrogantly.

But he suddenly got hit on the chest by Ise's fist and he coughed up blood due to the hit.

"That hurt you bastard. You just got lucky, don't gloat." She was hurt, but she could still fight.

She then released an onslaught of attacks on her enemy. Every hit, she could feel his bones shatter due to her boosted state.

"Hah, hah. How do you like that!?" Ise huffed and puffed at the vampire who looked like he has seen better days.

She then suddenly felt her boosts disappear. Almost making her keel over due to the exhaustion.

But while she was celebrating, King Tepes suddenly regenerated that caught her off guard and she got kicked in the chest.

Ise could feel her ribs breaking due to that blow and she couldn't breathe.

"Heh, I told you. I am invincible, puny dragon. So what if you are using a Longinus? A Longinus also increased my strength." He grinned and Ise wheezed.

"Tch, she let her guard down. She will be needing more training." Mordred was displeased at her.

"S-shut your trap old bitch! You can't even get strong due to your own power! I'm Mordred's kin! I will be great and enjoy a harem with him! Balance breaker!" Ise cried out with fiery eyes.

The others facepalmed and Mordred tilted his head at her weird desire.

"Ahhhhhh!" She started shouting and was concentrating her energy. Lighting started to arc on her form and the surroundings trembled.

"Welsh dragon, balance breaker!" Ddraig announced and they were quite surprised. It was a subspecies.

Her hair flickered to gold and her touki thickened more and more. "She did it, she turned into a super vegetare." Mordred was pleased and her strength and mana exploded.

She looked like an anthropomorphic Ddraig that was blonde. Her hair shooting up in a spiky style.

"Super vegetare one! Feel my awesome might you fucking bloodsucker!" She blasted him with a breath attack and the castle disappeared due to the explosion.

She wasn't done and started beating the shit out of him with immense speed. Looking like she was teleporting as she attacked with extreme prejudice.

"Eat this! Kamehametsu!" Ise charged up her energy and blasted King Tepes with a thick beam of red energy.

It lifted him up right to the skies and then it exploded like a bomb. Releasing its shockwave that startled Romania.

Thankfully, it was too up high to cause any real damage. Ise then dropped on her knees and she panted.

"I'm proud of you Ise." Mordred smiled at her and she beamed.

"Nobody move! Or I kill her!" A younger looking King Tepes took a blonde girl hostage. He pointed a sword at her.

And with no hesitation, an icicle hit him right on the forehead. Lavinia's arm outstretched with a cold look on her face.

"Fufufu~ taking a girl hostage. That scum has to die." Lavinia smiled sweetly.

"Yo, you done? We cleaned up the stragglers outside." Masaomi greeted and Dojigiri was dripping with blood.

"Look everywhere and save any civilian you can find." Mordred ordered. He already ordered Meredith to teleport away any human that she can find there.

But there might still be some out there, roaming around.

"We need to get her to safety as well." Mordred pointed at Valerie and Cleria teleported her back to their home.

And when everything was done. Mordred unsheathed Caliburn.

"This place will be purged from its wicked influence. Sword of the victorious; Caliburn! Absolve this land from its taint!" Mordres raised his sword and it formed a large amount of golden light.

He swung it downwards and the world turned white. When the light died down, all traces of the Tepes disappeared.
