A month later

It's been a month since Naruto joined Fairy Tail and the blonde Maelstrom had managed to turn every expectation people put on him upside down. He did his job with Zero damage and made Makarov happier. Makarov was so happy that he started sending Natsu and Gray with him as if he is going to teach the kids a lesson or two.

Flashback, A week ago

"Gramps, I'm going to take this job," said Naruto gesturing to a job request in his hands. Makarov smiled at looking at the blonde boy who changed his family's reputation.

"Yes, Naruto, my boy. But I want you for another job" said Makarov gesturing to a pink-haired and bluish black-haired boy. Naruto got a wide smile on his face at that. Both Gray and Natsu had a chill run down their spine at that smile. It felt more sinister and dark than Erza's could ever be.

"Here is a request which is asking for combat mages. I want you to make sure these 2 behave and does less damage, if such thing is possible," said Makarov with a sigh. He had dealt with situations like these. When someone asks for strong young mages, his first thought goes to these 2 young mages. But because of their destructive tendencies and rivalry with each other, he couldn't send them together as there would be lack of teamwork. Now with Naruto around, he hoped that these would at least behave themselves. Naruto took the job request and read throw it.

"The Bodyguard"

'Job Location: River Village

Job Description: A dark guild has threatened to destroy River Village if their candidate is not elected as Village Elder, and now that they've lost, they are vandalizing the homes of the townspeople. Destroy the guild, or make sure they never come back.

Reward: 150,000 jewels per member.

Naruto smiled. 'A Dark Guild huh. A combat group will be enough to deal with them for sure' he thought and smiled at the Guild Master.

"Leave it to me, Gramps. Now, come on boys,  move, we have a train to catch" said Naruto to the already sweating Gray and Natsu. They both had this feeling that this job with the blonde is not going to end well for them. Naruto with Sirius and Natsu with Happy and Gray went to the Magnolia station. Naruto saw his team. Gray, Natsu, Happy and of course his precious Sirius with them. It reminded him so much of his 'Team' when he was in the Shinobi World.

As they reached Magnolia Station, Naruto bought tickets with a big smile. As soon as the train started to move, Natsu fell on the bench between the seats, face first.

"Well, I think it is pretty serious," said Naruto in a flat tone about the motion sickness he heard and overcame about Dragon Slayers.

"You don't have any idea," said Gray.

"Leave him. Can I eat fish" asked Happy as he took out a fish from his bag?

"What is with you and fish always. Why don't you try Ramen sometime?" said Sirius.

"Ramen, yuck. No, I like fish" said Happy. Sirius got a vein popping on his face.

"What did you say, you fish cat," said Sirius.

"Ugh, I don't like trains" came the voice of Natsu in the fight between the cats.

"Ok, Siri. That is enough. We'll teach him how to eat Ramen and what it means to eat Ramen" said Naruto, promising pain to happy in his look with a torchlight being flashed on his head like a ghost.

"Aye, sir," said Happy in fear and Sirius smirked at that.

"Ok, now onto the plan," said Naruto and all the competent members nodded their heads.

"We are going to meet the villager and get briefed on the situation there," said Naruto.

"Then we get full details of what was going," said Gray.

"Ug-Ugh, I want land" came the groaned voice of Natsu that no one cared about.

"Right. Now that we have agreed that on what to do when we get there, we'll discuss the plan then" said Naruto and received nods from Gray, Sirius and Happy and a groan from Natsu.

'Hmm, should I heal him' thought Naruto. Healing him of the motion sickness is not a big deal but he can't be with Natsu every time he gets motion sickness.

'Nah. He'll either overcome it or get accustomed to it' he thought and silently continued on their journey.

"I hope we do less damage this time around. This moron has got gramps enough paperwork in his last job" said Gray out of the blue, gesturing to the green-faced Pinkett.

"Gr...Gray.. you bas-sterd. I'm gon-nna ki-kick yo-your bu-butt once we re-reach the sta-station" said Natsu.

"Ya, you be on that" replied Gray sarcastically.

"Leave that to me. That's the reason Gramps sent me with you. I'm gonna make sure you get a good experience from this" said Naruto with a smile. Gray didn't comment after that.

"Now we just wait," said Naruto and took a nap. The train journey is gonna take some time and so everyone relaxed. As they reached River Village, Natsu yelled in glee.

"Finally, Land. I missed you so much" said Natsu dramatically ans hugged the land affectionately.

"I don't think that is called affection. He just fell headfirst on the ground" said Sirius with a sigh.

"What, no, I like land so much than that useless train," said Natsu, annoyed about the moving vehicle.

"Ok boys, calm down. I think we have a job to do" said Naruto and they all nodded their heads. They asked for directions and reaches the house of the villager who gave them the job. He is a middle ages man wearing plain clothes.

"Are you the mages we have requested?" asked the man.

"Yes sir. My name is Naruto and these are my teammates. This is Sirius, Natsu, Happy and Gray. We are from Fairy Tail" said Naruto gesturing to each of them introducing them and showed his Guild mark as proof.

"Good. You are finally here. I don't want to be a judge that kids like you can do this, so I'll give you a chance" said the man and naruto nodded.

"Please come in. I'll debrief you about the situation" said the man and walked in. After serving tea to all of them, he started his explanation.

"The River village is small and peaceful. We hold elections every 5 years and choose an Elder. Generally, it would be the last one, but sometimes because of change in ideologies of people, well get a new elder. We held such elections last week. Our most hardworking had contested against the Elder who is in power for the last 20 years. However, there was an unprecedented occurrence this time" he said with a sigh.

"Thick Skull, a Dark Guild, head quartered just outside the village. We have some skirmishes with them but nothing major. But last week, soon after we elected our new Elder, one of their members stormed into a village with a message" he said and took an envelop. There was a white skull stamp on it with the skull smiling creepily.

"The letter said that the Guild Master should be elected as the new Leader or else they will take control of the village and people. Please help us" asked the man with hope.

"Alright, Old man. Consider it done. We'll do it" said Natsu stretching his hands and popping his joints.

"Aye, sir" agreed Happy. Naruto bonked both of them.

"Hey, what is that for" protested Natsu while Happy went to a corner and rubbed the bump on his head.

"You moron. Whom are you gonna fight, walls? You don't know anything about this Guild but their address and it might not be true. There might be traps. The village is surrounded by forests. If you use your fire recklessly, the trees around might caught fire and you would be the cause of a forest fire. Think before you jump to conclusions" chastized Naruto. Natsu cried comically.

"Ya, tell him like that," said Gray in unison.

"And where are your clothes, genius?" asked Naruto with a raised eyebrow. Gray looked down and only his boxers remain on his body.

"Damn, I lost them again," said Gray and started searching for his clothes.

"Ok, sir. But the job says that there is a bodyguard mansion in it" asked Naruto.

"Well, um. That was given before we got the letter from the Guild. But now we want them removed from here"

"Ok, you can rest easy. Me and my friends will take care of them. No problem" said Naruto and saw only Gray and Sirius behind him. There was no trace of Natsu.

"That Moron," his magic burst, cracking the ground below.

"I'm in a hurry. Talk to you later" said Naruto and ran towards the village exit.

"Siri, carry Gray and follow me," said Naruto shot into the air like a bullet. With a resounding boom, he was gone. The village member was left astonished at the display of power.
