Dragon Ball Z: The Core

What if Gohan had a twin sister with the soul and memories of someone who had watched the Dragon Ball Z TV show? That's Hanna, and her goal is to protect Earth. MC is going to attempt to manipulate the canon. This means that even after she gets powerful, she'll be hiding her powers. (This is just a pet project of mine. Don't expect updates to be too regular, and while I have a general idea of where I want the plot to go, I haven't set a plan in stone for it. While the plot will follow the same arcs as the TV show, not all of the movies will be incorporated. By the way, this is MY INTERPRETATION of the canon, so not all information in the story will be completely correct when compared to the official canon.)

Ch. 176: Destroying Judgement (2)

Zamasu's barrage lasted for quite a while. Maybe ten minutes or so of continuous firing as his screech filled the air, before the world finally became quiet once more as Zamasu's soul realized the futility of what it was doing. "EYUUAAHHHH!!!" The cries of a broken god finally began to die down as he recognized the energy of a god many leagues stronger than the likes of him.

In the original, Zamasu's barrage had cleared the entire planet of life, except for Trunks, Vegeta, Goku, Bulma, Mai, and the Supreme Kais, but this time, among the desert that was originally West City, you could clearly see hundreds of confused people picking themselves off the ground and dusting themselves off, confused. I hadn't bothered to save any of the buildings or other rubble, but every single person, not only in the city, but on the planet as well, had been protected by tiny threads of my own energy. Not a single life had been lost, just buildings that could be rebuilt. Even those that had been deep underground now found themselves aboveground once more, confused but perfectly safe.

"H-HYAARGHAAAH!" Zamasu's agonized wail was probably confusion. He didn't have the mental facilities to get the question "How!?" to form anymore, but he clearly made the attempt.

"You-you saved everyone... H-how!?" Kai-Shin immediately asked me.

"Don't worry about it. Or collateral damage at all, for that matter. Goku, you know what to do." I said, looking at Goku. I needed him to do something for me. It was the entire reason that I was here, in fact.

"I-I don't... If I had a Senzu bean, we could at least try to fight him, but..." Goku told me, digging through his pockets for a bean that wasn't there. Instead, he pulled a button out of his pocket, his eyes going wide. "Wait, Supreme Kai! Do you think that the Zeno of this timeline is still around?!" Goku had realized what I wanted of him.

"O- of course he would be. No question about it. It's impossible to defeat the Grand Zeno." Kai-Shin answered quickly, clearly not understanding what was going through Goku's head at the moment. But I did.

"It's impossible to fight the Grand Zeno, to be more specific. If he resisted for even a moment, the entire cosmos would be instantly obliterated. He's definitely around." I added. You technically could defeat him if you completely shut him out, but nobody, including me, could even theoretically possess the power to do that.

"Oh, really? You don't say!" Goku said, smiling once more, which clearly annoyed Vegeta. Breathing also annoyed Vegeta. So did existing. And fish. And chocolate...

"What's your plan? Spit it out!" He demanded, making Goku chuckle.

"Now, we just have to see if this thing works in this universe, too." Goku said, pressing the button in his hand.

After that, Zeno appeared and Goku explained that the Zamasu cloud above us had called all of the destruction around us. Needless to say, he wasn't happy.

"Something this nasty should be cleaned up, right?" Goku asked him. This was Zeno's job, but I couldn't let him do it.

"I got it, Grand Zeno. I'll destroy it for you." I immediately said, jumping in as fast as I could before Zeno committed himself to destroying this version of the seventh universe.

"Who are-" Zeno began, but I was already working. In an instant, my divine energy had permeated everything on this Earth. Even without my Divine Aspect, for something as relatively small-scale as a single planet, I could exercise some pretty absolute power, and I put that into play, showing off a little for Zenny.

The first thing I did was compress Zamasu's soul down into itself, millions of times over, until he was in a ball above my hand, no bigger than the tip of my finger. Then, I took it over, separating the energy from the Zamasu, before turning the energy that'd been inside of it to my own will. Once his energy was my own, his personality erased by the strain of having his soul ripped apart, I used all of it without hesitation on restoring the planet. In an instant, the scenery changed completely.

What had once been a city, then a ruin, then a barren wasteland, was now a green paradise. The souls of the plants and animals killed in Zamasu's rampage, which hadn't managed to get to otherworld yet, were now thrust into new bodies, tailor-made for them. This didn't just extend to things that didn't possess sentience, though. Thousands of humans that had been murdered by Goku Black in the past few days also found themselves suddenly back in their bodies, overflowing in energy, though spread out across the entire planet. What Zamasu had destroyed, I'd used his own energy to remake, and it was more vibrant, and full of life than ever before, created and bolstered by his own power. It felt like a fitting end to the mortal-hating bastard. Now, his own power would sustain a planet of them for far longer than physics would normally allow.

"Whoooaaaa! So pretty!" Seeing the beauty created around him, Zenny immediately lost interest in figuring out who I was or what I was doing.

"How's that for divine justice!?" I ask, turning around with a smug expression on my face.

"Sooo amaazing!" Zenny gushed, "Just for that, I won't make you go away!"

"Wait, what?" Color drained from my face as Zeno casually revealed that he'd been planning on destroying me, but he'd already moved on.

"Pretty butterfly! Come here little butterfly!" As what Zeno had said to me sunk in with everyone around me, Zeno ran off to chase a butterfly, giggling with childish abandon.

"Umm... What just...?" Trunks was lost, and he wasn't the only one.

"What did you just do!? Did you really just strip the power from Zamasu's soul and use it to revitalize this entire planet!?" Kai-Shin shouted, losing his cool completely.
