Gu Yi had secretly investigated many times, finding nothing each time. This time, his intentional fall into desire was to finally reveal the dark side's presence.

"You can't defeat me. I am you," the dark side regained confidence after the initial shock. It didn't matter if Gu Yi hadn't succumbed, for he had also grown stronger.

The dark side, having existed for a shorter time, lacked the strength to match Gu Yi. Its knife was soon deflected, and a gaping hole appeared in its chest.

"How are you this strong?" The dark side looked incredulously at the gaping hole.

"You are just too weak," Gu Yi replied, placing a hand on its shoulder. "Come back."
