CH 51: Confession of the Truth

"Li'er... you too..." Bibi Dong gasped, shocked and flabbergasted by the reveal. Finally turning to her, Ah Li smiled gently :"Hm, that's right. I'm like you, Sister Goddess. Like you, I died, but still survived. But mine was different. I didn't randomly wake up alive.

When I died, my soul was picked up by an absolute entity. A being that even the gods of this world couldn't compare to. An Omniversal Being. You've already met him. Crow.

He picked my soul after my death, and wanted to grant me wishes so he could watch my life. Watch my story. I didn't see any loss, so I agreed. And so, he accepted five of my wishes. I'll tell you about them later, but one was to come to this world. Come to this world so I could meet you, the woman I fell in love with."

Looking at her shocked look and satisfied that her mood had shifted from feeling miserable, he chuckled :"But seriously, I did not expect to see a Bibi Dong get reborn as my Martial Soul. That part was baffling."

"I see..." She let out, a look of realization appearing :"So that's why you were so... weird isn't the right word... unique, even among the children. That's why you were so knowledgeable in things a kid like you shouldn't have known. The reason why you knew how to mess Tang San's opportunities."

"Yup, that's right." He chuckled :"I know about every treasure that trash would find, so I purposely either ruined them, or took them away instead." But she didn't find it so amusing :"I see... so you have died too..."

The thought of him actually dying made her feel sad. Even if he was like her, a reincarnated, she didn't want to think about him suffering. Her hand was on his cheek before she realized it. An act she would always do when she wanted to comfort him or feel his warmth.

"That's right, I have." He nodded, smiling against her hand, as if it wasn't a big deal at all. Looking into her pink orbs, his eyes grew sad :"So please, don't say that you'd rather have just died instead. If that had happened, I would have never met you. I could have never spent these years enjoying being with you.

Laughing with you, having fun with you, learning from you, teasing you, hahaha getting scolded by you, I could have never experienced them if that had happened. So please, never say that again, okay? For me, don't say that ever again."

"... Don't say that again." Surprisingly, she suddenly glared, pinching his cheek with a sad look in her eyes :"Never talk lightly like that about your death ever again. You understand? Never again."

"..." Ah Li was speechless. Ignoring the pain in his cheek, he grew confused :"Sister Goddess, weren't you doing the exact same thing just now? Talking about your death and just disappearing like it's nothing and all."

"I'm different." Her glare intensified, scolding him as she pinched harder as punishment :"You are not allowed to talk about your death like that, got that?"

"..." In the end, he couldn't help but chuckle :"Okay, okay." Eyes full of fondness as he leaned against her beautiful fingers :"Understood." As she stopped, palm gently laying against his cheek again, she couldn't help but smile at him.

Ah Li :"I guess you've calmed down now, huh?"

Bibi Dong :"Hm, I suppose. You're right, I shouldn't have said that... if I really had just died, I wouldn't have any second chances."

Ah Li :"That's true. You would have just disappeared with that, but now, you have the chance to fix things."

Bibi Dong :"Hm, true. At least the me from this world won't have to suffer like I did."

Ah Li, smiling :"True. And the same applies to Qian Renxue and Hu Liena as well."

Bibi Dong, raising an eyebrow :"You know about them too?"

Bibi Dong, smiling :"For what? Keeping something important like getting reincarnated a secret? I would have regarded you as someone stupid if you actually had revealed that kind of a secret."

Ah Li, chuckling :"True, that is one stupid thing to do."

Bibi Dong :"Yes. Also, didn't I keep the same secret? Wouldn't I be a hypocrite if I got angry at you when I kept being a reincarnated a secret as well?"

"True that too." He chuckled, before smiling gently :"I'm glad you're not acting any different. I was worried you might see me as someone else and act differently."

Drawing gentle circles on his cheek with her thumb, she smiled at the satisfied hum she drew out of him :"Li'er, know this. Even if you're a reincarnated, it doesn't matter. In my eyes, you'll always be the little guy I looked after for so many years."

Ah Li, pouting :"Huff, so I won't lose the little guy title even now that you know I'm a reincarnated?"

Bibi Dong, chuckling :"Nope, not happening. How old are you anyway?"

Ah Li :"Hmm, I was 17 when I died, so my soul would be 23 now. My mentality is still 17 since I haven't grown past that though."

Bibi Dong, smiling :"Then you're still just a kid."

Ah Li, rolling eyes :"Sure, grandma-"

"Do you want to finish that sentence?" Her voice, although gentle and delivered with a smile, held maliciousness he knew he didn't want to mess with. He quickly smiled nervously as she held onto his jaw :"I-I mean Sister Goddess! That's why I call you that! It's because you're so young you'd put young girls to shame with your beauty and youthfulness!"

"Huh, better watch your words, brat." She squinted her eyes threateningly, fingers holding his chin barely letting him nod. Relaxing, she smiled :"What about me? Do you see me as a different person?" After a look of surprise, a smile took over :"No, definitely not. You'll always be my dear Sister Goddess."

"Good. I'm glad to hear that." She nodded. Seeing her relax, he sighed with relief as she let go :"Thank goodness you feel better now though. I felt hollow when I saw you so sad."

"Hm, I'm sorry. It just really hurt. To find out the life you lived was completely wasted." She leaned back. No longer with the same depression, but with a determined and hateful look :"But that's not what I should be doing. What I need to do is make that bastard suffer as much as possible, and not let this me make the same mistakes as I did."

Turning to Ah Li, she smirked :"And since my identity is no longer a secret, and you already know everything, we can go all out with nothing to worry about. I was worried about how I'll support and help out Renxue. But now, I don't need to worry anymore."

"Don't worry, I'll definitely support you!" He nodded, a determined smile on his face :"And with my knowledge, there's nothing to worry about! Hehehe, in fact, it's good that we told the truth to each other."

Bibi Dong :"Hm? Why? Do you have something in mind?"

Ah Li, smirking :"Sister Goddess, why do you think I even bothered to stay here for so long? It's obviously to steal an opportunity from Tang San. Not just the External Soul Bone, but an opportunity which was the main reason why the Shrek students managed to become gods!"

Bibi Dong :"What?! Wait, so it's because of a reason like that. No wonder. There's no way they all could become gods. Maybe Tang San and Xiao Wu, but his chances have also fallen a lot because of his Blue Silver Grass being ruined."

Ah Li :"Yup. Even someone with Twin Martial Souls like you took a lot of time to become a god, so how could they succeed? It's because of the treasures Tang San obtained. And I stayed here not just for the External Soul Bone, but also for those treasures."

Bibi Dong, smirking :"I see. Treasures that can give someone the potential to become a god definitely can't be left to others. Especially not to Tang San."

Ah Li :"Yup. In fact, it was one of those treasures that allowed Yu Xiaogang to break through his limit."

Bibi Dong, smiling cruelly :"And without that treasure, he'll forever stay a trash."

Ah Li, smiling cruelly :"A trash that can be ruined even further. Something we'll definitely do."

Ah Li :"Also, those aren't the only treasures I know about. I have a lot of things in mind to take. And now that our objective here is finished, we can finally proceed to taking those opportunities. Most of them weren't even Tang San's, to be honest."

Ah Li :"Yeah, I am. I was here for two things, and I've finished them both. So it's time to leave."

"What about Zhu Zhuqing? Isn't she your friend?" She asked casually, but he still spotted something in her eyes, jealousy :"And I'm pretty sure you've already noticed how she's beginning to look at you, no?"

"Like how you look at me? Is this jealousy, Sister Goddess?" He smirked mischievously, making her twitch as she blushed :"Huh, what nonsense are you saying, brat?"

"Sister Goddess, do you take me for an idiot?" He chuckled teasingly, winking as he nudged her :"Do you really think I'm clueless enough to my surroundings, especially you, to not notice how you look at me?"

Her blush grew brighter, but she didn't look at him. Smiling wolfishly, he whispered into her ear :"Especially when I'm naked or... pleasuring myself?" Her head turned sharply to him, her face bright red, her eyes wide in shock :"Y-you...! H-how do y-you...?!"

"Aww, what? Did you really think I wouldn't notice somebody staring at me so hard? Especially at my dick?" He smirked lustfully, making her tremble with shame :"Did you enjoy all the nice shows you got? Watching me play with myself while you watched like a pervert?"

"I-I didn't... I d-didn't..." She stuttered, embarrassment taking over from being discovered. She knew it was the wrong thing to do. To spy on someone, especially when they're doing something like that. But she couldn't stop herself. And now that she was caught, she didn't know what to say.

"Aww, calm down, Sister Goddess?" Ah Li chuckled mischievously, making her blush even harder :"I never said I was angry. In fact, I enjoyed all the attention you gave me. How you just couldn't take your eyes off of me whenever I masturbated."

"S-shut up..." Bibi Dong whispered, face completely red as she looked anywhere but his eyes. She had never felt this ashamed and embarrassed. Deciding that this much teasing was enough, he gently nudged her, smiling gently :"But I'm serious, don't worry. I don't mind. I've already said it, haven't I? I'm in love with you."

Her shock and mood hadn't let her register the words before. But hearing them now, she remembered it clearly. She felt happy, yet also reluctant. Happy to hear his love, something she also felt towards him. But now, she was afraid to love.

She just discovered the love she had for an entire lifetime was for nothing, and had completely broken her heart. She was afraid to feel that pain, that hopelessness, that regret again.

She wanted to say it back. Say that she loved him too. Something she knew, and was finally willing to admit to. But the fear in her heart, the trauma she experienced just now, was making her unable to do so.

"Don't worry, you don't need to hurry." Thankfully, Ah Li seemed to realize it. He always knew how she felt by her eyes. Smiling gently, he fondly cupped her cheek. She hesitated for a moment, but still leaned into his touch. Softly rubbing her cheek, he smiled gently :"I know what you experienced tonight.

I'm not expecting you to give me an answer now. I already know it, I can see it in your eyes. I've always been able to see through you through your eyes, remember? I can see the love, the fondness in your beautiful eyes. But I can also see the hurt in them. So I won't rush you. I'll wait till you've healed. And then, when you can, I'll listen to your answer."
