Arc 1-chapter 7

A youth whose appearance doesn't stand out , everything about him is below average . He approached the holy orchid training grounds and passed through the pathway with a token in his hand , the gates opened for him and closed after he left .

This youth is Xiao Tian , despite his progress in cultivation and usage of herbs , he still looked dull . Part of it is due to his cultivation which doesn't focus on developing his human body anymore rather altering it completely and another reason is He is just unlucky . Not that he mind about it because this allowed him to blend in easily but deep down he still preferred a good or atleast an average look .

Xiao tian got back to the work he came for clearing his head . Tian started to concentrate on his senses and he placed a dagger in his arm guard which he can quickly retrieve it [ A.N- kinda like assasin's creed] . Slowly his breath became silent along with his heart beat , his foot steps are also not audible making his body translucent but occasionally his foot steps made sound making his body seem normal again ,which tells how amateur he is in using this movement. This is a martial arts/ Assasination technique , Hollow steps used to dull the presence of a person . Tian managed to get this technique from an old book in library . His soul force is invisible to everyone so, there is no need to worry about his presence being known by sensing his spiritual source .

He walked across the forest and climbed a tree . Once he is high enough , he used his advanced senses to search for any demon beasts . Tian already placed a resistance inscription on himself which will make it thrice as hard for him to do any action. He wanted to push himself now , with his level of strength he doesn't have any opponents here as the highest level demon beast present here is peak bronze rank which lies deep within the forest .

While walking , suddenly a big horned sheep pounced on Tian who narrowly dodged it . Tian who already sensed it , due to his sharp senses which picked up the scent of the Horned sheep looked surprised because generally he could sense people around him due to his observative (paranoid) nature and superior physical senses but now under physical stress , it took him some time . He realised that wild beasts natural survival life allow them to conceal presence Intuitively , which made it difficult for him to track it unless it is too close . Tian has never been to any kinds of death matches but if his life is on the line he would not hesitate to kill anyone .

The horned sheep quickly turned around and charged towards Tian . He dodged the charge but this time he used a speed type movement technique which allowed him to move towards the sheep almost instantaneously and punched the sheep directly in the gut . Contrary to his expectations , the sheep was just pushed back . Again , he remembered that demon Beasts are stronger than humans of same rank .

Tian didn't waste any time , he activated his mystic eyes of death perception and took the blade into his hand . He used the moment technique to appear to the side of the sheep with intent to kill which sent a kick towards his side listening to its instincts , Tian hasn't expected it but it was already too late. He felt tremendous amount of pain but held on to it , and climbed a tree near by . Xiao Tian's physique is divine Dragon's physique which grants him immense durability but still his cultivation is too weak so , he could still feel pain despite his durability , his body is not injured but the pain is still there . The sheep is looking at Tian with the intention to kill , Tian deactived the inscription and took a small rock into his hand and threw it just beside the sheep with maximum speed without it seeing and moved his body suddenly but stoped . The sheep immediately looked at the direction of the sound thinking that Tian moved but haven't seen anyone . At the same time , Xiao Tian directly blitz at it and cut off its head . He collected the demon beasts corpse inside the storage ring and went back to the top of tree .

Xiao Tian contemplated his actions just now , he noticed that the horned sheep is just 4 star bronze rank , normally he could have killed it easily but then he underestimated it even though he is restricting his own moments . He didn't considered how the opponent can be and he overestimated his own strength . He laughed at the thought of how he wanted to fight a peak Bronze demon beast with his self-imposed condition . He would have died if he went there in his present situation . He is not some cultivation protagonist to against enemies who are literal realms ahead of him and win everytime , he is just another person in the grand scheme of things . His only goal should be reaching to the top that doesn't involve his superiority over others in mundane things like power , beauty or talent but forging a path while increasing his own strength .

Tian- What? I broke throug-

Xiao Tian stopped his words and went into meditative position and started cultivating . The Qi in the surroundings swirled around him , inside his soul realm , the egg began to grow in size while soul force was being absorbed by it . The spiritual egg which was in size of a normal egg grown into ostrich size and many different colourful patterns formed on the shell , once the patterns are completed . Even more soul force was absorbed by the egg . Xiao Tian stopped his cultivation feeling the amount of Qi being absorbed from atmosphere , the amount he is absorbing now is enough to enter black gold realm but there he is absorbing all the energy while still being in Bronze four star ,cultivating here anymore would alert the experts in the city . Xiao Tian opened his eyes .

Xiao tian- Did my theory really worked? No, it can be partial reason that cultivation is spiritual exercise . There must be some other reason like this world's laws or something like that depending on realizing facts . Hey system, is it true that the cultivation of this world corresponding to realizing the truths?

Xiao Tian- You choose to be quiet huh! then , there is a chance that the laws of the world are depend on universal truths . Even the high quality cultivation chants are just statements that will make sense if you read them right , they will give you abilities that correspond to the statements at the end of your cultivation journey . That's why this world cultivation is like this , an individual should cultivate a tailor made cultivation technique depending on their soul properties for them to reach true pinnacle or their potential will decline and cultivation will become ridiculously slow .

Xiao Tian is just speculating but he kept that idea inside his mind .He still doesn't know for sure but the sudden expansion of his soul realm when he realized his mistakes and the same time the life and death battle made him create this theory . He does believe that there are many other factors in cultivation fundamentals but his own speculation is making sense more now for him too.

He doesn't know it now but soon he'll realise how right he is when he meets a certain expert who left a legacy of his 'greatest discovery' .
