Dissecting the Gods. (Against the gods and Naruto fanfiction)

In an attempt to survive his anticlimactic battle between Itachi Uchiha, Orochimaru found himself in a new land like no other. A place where martial practitioners ruled and chased immortality. In this place there were new energies, techniques, godly treasures and divine bloodlines just waiting to be exploited...... (weekly updates) ______________________________________ Hello there readers! This story is one of my first ventures into writing and my first ever fanfiction. The first volumes of this story will take place a century before the start of the original Against the Gods novel and will mostly focus on Orochimaru making a foothold in the world. Updates will be two chapters once per week. This may increase as my writing abilities grow. But for now, in order to maintain the quality of the writing and plot this is the best I can do. As a frustrated reader myself; I've seen too many botched ATG fanfics with horrible plots or grammar. I aim to correct this in my novel as a native English speaker. What readers can expect is: Sect/kingdom building Human experimentation. Human rights violations Child soldiers Large scale Massacres. Evil Main character Overpowered Character I have no intention of making Orochimaru a good person overtime or an antihero. I wish to write what I think a mad scientist like Orochimaru would do if he was let loose in a cultivation universe. There will be no: Systems/Romance

Twisted Fate

Uchiha Hideout.

"I can give you what you want~~~"

Sasuke winced as the familiar voice of his treacherous mentor rang though his head. The voice brought forth clarity of mind he hadn't had since challenging his brother. He'd been losing ever since the beginning. Itachi had been stringing him along with Genjutsu and superior fighting prowess from the start.

"You know you need me Sasuke-Kun~~" He winced again as the sanin's voice spoke again.

'No, I don't need help from you!' Sasuke's mental shields were weakening. He dropped to his knees as Itachi looked on.

"Release me and you'll have your revenge on Itachi~~"

"Stop!" he growled as he clutched his Cursed Seal. "Aah!"

Sasuke grunted as eight white snake heads rose from his Curse seal. They quickly grew to a colossal size, standing opposite of Itachi's Susanoo. One of the heads opened its mouth as something appeared climbing out of its throat. First a sickly white hand followed by another, then by a slimy head covered in black hair emerged.

"Ku ku ku; Aaaaaahahahahahahaah!" Orochimaru chuckled as he emerged from the snake's mouth, naked from the waist up. He gagged as the Kusanagi sword made its way out of his mouth hilt first. Orochimaru grasped it and pulled it the rest of the way out; brandishing it at Itachi. "This is the chance I've been patiently waiting for, sasuke-Kun!"

"I must also thank you Itachi-Kun!"

He chuckled as he continued, "It's all thanks to you; forcing Sasuke to use up all his chakra." Golden Serpentine eyes glared at the man under the spectral Susanoo. "I'll make his body my own and then-" The rest of his threat died on his lips as Susanoo's sword impaled him.

"This won't stop…Gah!" Orochimaru gasped as pain lanced through his body. He glanced down to find his body melting into the sword.

"T-this is…The blade of Totsuka!" he rasped as blood leaked from his mouth. "Itachi! You've had it all this time?!" He coughed again, blood staining his white skin.

"I s-searched everywhere for it…The blade of Totsuka; a-also known as Sakegari's Katana;" He coughed "A sword with sealing powers; anything it touches is sealed into a dream-like Genjutsu."

The slight upturn of his lips was the only indication of Itachi's amusement. "You've certainly done your research Orochimaru."

"W-where did you find it?" He rasped; "I searched everywhere for it!"

"Why, in the places the Uchiha clan calls home of course." Itachi chuckled at him.

A little more of Orochimaru's body slipped into the sword; He clenched his teeth as he furiously thought of a way out of his predicament. As more of his body was dragged into the gourd, the snake sanin drew back all of his power from the Cursed Seal he planted on Sasuke.

Amassing all of his chakra and the chakra from the Cursed Seal, he violently expelled over half of the energy- pushing the effects of the sword away momentarily.

Using the rest of his chakra he used the body flicker technique to escape just as the sword's power activated again.

As the shunshin took effect and he flickered away, the ethereal sword grazed him. He screamed as the ability took effect. His mind was ripped from his body; and as his body was torn in two he lost consciousness.

Sasuke groaned as Orochimaru's power left him. He glared across the expanse at his elder brother. "B-bastard!" He ground out through clenched teeth.

"Now where were we little brother?" Itachi asked.

New Moon City- Moon Lake Pavilion

"Itachi!"

A pair of eyes snapped open; revealing contracted black pupils. They gazed at the ceiling above for 2 seconds before the owner swiftly sat up, eyes darting around.

The ruined battlefield, blue sky and orange specter, all vanished from his sight. Replaced by the interior of a small, but luxuriously furnished with exquisite wooden furniture and decorated with silky pink drapes.

Sweet incense smoke floated lazily through the air, giving the surroundings a sensual vibe.

The sanin was dazed. There were few times in his life when his mind was this shaken. While his eyes scanned the room, his awakening mind began drawing on other senses. His body was wrapped in the softness of the bed and its silky sheets.

'What....is this?' Orochimaru thought before feeling another presence to the left of him on the bed. His eyes snapped down while his left hand tensed- ready to kill!

A girl layed beside him. Her pretty face scrunched up as she opened her eyes and looked at him.

"Young master's being too noisy..." She moaned out before falling asleep again.

The snake sanin looked down at her sleeping face; still too dazed from his encounter with the elder Uchiha. He held his hands out, gazing at the soft milky skin of forearms and the lines in his plams.

'These hands- they aren't my own nor are they the hands of Yumaru-kun....' The failed snake sage's mind was finally starting to clear up.

'What is this! Is this the Realm of Drunken Dreams!?'

He formed the tiger hand sign in an attempt to dispel the genjutsu, only to realize with shocked horror that his chakra was unresponsive!

Before he could do anything else. A prick of pain stabbed at his very soul. Waves of memories floors his mind. To anyone else- this jumbled mess of information would probably drive them mad.

But to the body thief- the immortal snake who devoured the minds and souls of others, this was nothing he couldn't handle.

Orochimaru gripped his face as he 'recalled' these 'new' memories. This new vessel he inhabited once belonged to a Kang Yuan who hailed from the Yuan Clan- a small clan at the edges of the Grand Asura Nation.

From what the Sanin could gleam- it seemed this Kang Yuan was a pampered young master- a silk pants who was untalented and unrefined. Spoiled rotten by his biased grandfather who was a lesser clan elder who turned a blind eye to his grandson's frivolous and often perverted actions.

But it seemed Kang Yuan was too lecherous and turned his eyes upon his dear little aunt's flesh. This outrageous act was too heinous for even his grandfather to hide or defend; leading to his banishment from the clan. He could only settle down in this poor Blue Wind Nation.

Currently, he was on a floating pleasure boat and the woman beside him was a courtesan. Gradually the memories of Kang Yuan revealed themselves to him.

Orochimaru's shoulders trembled as he chuckled. "Ku ku ku. Aaaaaahahahahahahaah!"

A wide grin stretched itself over his face. As he laughed with glee. The courtesan- ke'er as she called herself, was frightened from her sleep.

"Y- young master? Are you alright?" Ke'er shrunk away from the laughing teen in her bed.

Kang Yuan stopped laughing. His head turned smoothly- too smoothly for ke'er's liking. His black eyes turned to her, causinging a shiver to run down her back for some reason.

"Yes my dear ke'er! I'm fine! More than fine!"

Something was off to ke'er. This frivolous young master seemed different...predatory- not in the lecherous way. His aura felt dark and serpentine...

She shifted closer to the edge of the bed- suddenly feeling like a cornered mouse! At the 6th level of the Elementary Profound Realm; she was definitely stronger than him- a whole three small realms in fact. But at the current moment she felt helpless as Kang Yuan stood up.

Her eyes followed his skinny, naked form closely as he walked around the bed and sat on the floor with his legs crossed.

'Is he cultivating?' Her question was answered as the surrounding profound energy shifted towards him. It was a small amount- she doubt she'd even notice if she wasn't so focused on him.

Minutes passed as she watched him. At times he'd pull in profound energy and some times she'd sense the signs of him circulating a Profound Art.

Ke'er was stumped. This young master was by no stretch a cultivator. She had been with many types of men- quite a few of them were strong Profound Practitioners in their own right. Only those freaks would start cultivating after a romp.

The clumsy casting of Profound Arts and cultivation level of the young master revealed that he was no chaser of the Profound.

'What happened over the course of a few hours?' she thought while noticing it was night time. They fell asleep in the afternoon after copulating.

'What happened to him since then?!'

On the other hand, Orochimaru was ecstatic!

Energy! A new form of energy surrounded him! It hung heavily in the atmosphere and flowed into his body as he circulated the Red Seal Profound Arts of the Kang Clan. This energy poured in from 11 different points on his body, traveling through pathways the natives of this world identified as 'Profound Veins' and then pooling at the base of the vein network. It didn't end there!

This energy trickled into his chakra coils- or as the natives called them: 'Meridians'. His Meridians- if they were like chakra coils: would deliver thin wisps of profound energy to his cells and organs. If he circulated his energy quicker and focused it at a single point such as his arms- he could feel his meager strength increase twofold!

A grin etched itself across his face. 'Kukukuku..... Itachi uchiha..... I don't know if I should be cursing your name for foiling my plans or thanking you for playing your part in delivering me to this land. An interesting place that seems to be tailored just to my liking!'
