Dimensional Overhaul

What was the gods' best creation? Was it man? Could it be the stars that we all gaze upon? Planets that hold life? Or probably the various dimensions that hold all? The answer is simple, the universe! The same universe that comprises all these wonderful creations. The food we eat, the people we look up to, and the mountains which stretch beyond the clouds are all part of one universe. And among the variety of races, one stood among them all. A race yielding the strongest type of magic, black magic. They were the Genois race. The fact that they were the strongest clouded their minds, why not unify the universe? They thought. During their rein, they forcibly made other races kneel before them and those who resisted were killed. Upon a mountain of bloodshed, a single man rose to the task of defeating the Genois race. Some called him a 'reaper', others 'a savior' while others squandered his name calling him a murderer. The single man possessed a special type of visual prowess known as Tsujigens. The five Tsujigens: Tsujigen of force, Tsujigen of space, Tsujigen of time, Tsujigen of power, and the Tsujigen illusion made him an unstoppable force. With this power, he wiped out the Genois race leaving none. Blessing other races with freedom. He was hailed as a god! Mysterious as a ghost! Yet still a lone man. Alas, not even his mortal body could handle his power causing him to erode. Before his death, he shared his Tsujigens for the next generation in hopes of his resurrection. In the present, a boy awoke in an unfamiliar world, with no memories of the past, and is left with a symbolic tattoo on his arm which possesses odd powers. In a universe where magic is the norm, Kevin travels to different worlds, unique in their way, to reclaim his lost memories.

Creatures of fire

The village was quiet with most people going to bed. Some hard workers already began setting up their shops for the next day. At least, that was until an explosion was heard followed by more noises from the mansion.

It left the village in a panic, with most people wondering what was happening.

"Look there is a huge smoke cloud!" A man pointed toward the mansion.

"Sheesh, rich people think they can just do whatever they want!"

" I would not be surprised if the Anami gang caused that, dumb delinquents!" Another man whispered but made sure it wasn't loud to not offend any possible nearby gang member.

People began chattering among themselves, having different thoughts on what could be happening. Soon enough, the nosy ones left their house in pursuit of the truth, the mansion.

"Hahahaha, just look at that. I'd bet that a hundred percent Larry is there! He never could avoid a party," Mark said, wearing a happy expression.

"Indeed, let's finish this with haste," Raymond said, walking toward the mansion.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

In front of the mansion, stood two different teams, opposite of each other. One was a gang consisting of fewer conscious members than when the fight started and Kevin, Lilith, an injured man then Dave who had now come along with Kirby in his arms to spectate the fight.

"Umm so Lilith, please do tell me when you could heal yourself. How could you leave out something so important?" Kevin asked.

"When did I leave out, it's as easy as breathing to me. Plus, apart from the time Norm beat me up in the village to a point, I could not heal fast enough, when again did you ever see me injured for a long period?"

Now that Kevin thought about it, even when they fought with Norm in her domain, she easily recovered from the attacks. He had to agree she was right but it would have been better to know beforehand.

"Anyways forget it, I will take care of this," Kevin said.

"Oh hell no, I was here first. I called dibs, what were you doing while we were fighting? You would be deaf not to hear all that noise!" Lilith argued.

" Shut up! I was fighting way longer than you at the poolside. Also, I had to grab Asura," Kevin said, pointing at his cursed weapon.

"ENOUGH!" Anami yelled, shouting a giant ball of fire in their direction.

Stretching out his hand, Kevin absorbed the attack completely. Using this chance, Lilith ran in, deciding to take on the head of the gang first. However, like a child, Kevin made use of Max's teachings on electromagnetism to throw a nearby scrap of metal at Lilith, leading to her fall.

"I did not teach you to use it that way...." Max spoke under his breath, at the end he sighed. Kids will always be kids.

[ Lightning magic: Tiger form]

With Lilith falling face-first to the ground, Kevin ran in, right for Anami. Before he could clash with him, two gang members jumped in ready to take on Kevin. However, that did not stop Kevin in the slightest, instead, he ran even faster.

"You will not take a single step past us!" They yelled in unison, both preparing to shoot out elemental projectiles.

Unexpectedly, just before they released their attack, Kevin jumped above them. Leaving two of his usual lightning tiger materialization to electrocute them.

"Get ready!" Kevin said, throwing out a punch with all his strength.

Anami met his fist with his own, the clash created a minor shockwave. But if there was one thing Kevin could determine from this minor clash, it was that this man was tough. Probably Norms' level, or even higher.

"Deal with us first!" Two goons came in wanting to fight Kevin but were struck down by Lilith's fist.

"I will pay you back for what you did Kevin!" Lilith said in a very angry but low tone.

"Or you can reward me after I win!" Kevin said with a smug look.

[Asura: Dagger form]

Kevin jumped into the air, using his chain dagger to strike a nearby goon's leg. Then he pulled on it, forcefully bringing him toward Kevin.

"Take this buddy!" Kevin yelled, kicking the goon to Anami.

Once Anami's sight was blocked by the flying goon, he used his strongest materialization technique. He shot out both lightning dragons to Anami.

"Weak! You carry the confidence of a warrior but your abilities are lacking!" Anami said, using his deviant element to form a creature big enough to extinguish Kevin's projectiles.

'What!' Kevin was in shock, Anami's sight was blocked. There was no possible way for being able to see his attack. Not unless he had an ability to relate to his race similar to Lilith or something else like a magical imprint otherwise known as magic's third form.

"Now, I will take you on. Men deal with the girl! He is mine!" Anami ordered, to which his men complied.

Multiple tattoos began to increase leave his body, increasing in size to creatures composed of flames.

"My deviant element allows me to create a creature born of flame, whether it exists or not as long as I have drawn it. Now if you surrender, I can leave you alive or we could fight. The choice is yours!" As Anami spoke frighteningly, the creatures hovered above him.

"Bring it on!" Kevin shouted, not giving up.

Hearing his response, Anami's mouth stretched to a creepy extent, revealing a terrifying smile. Seeing it upfront, Kevin knew this man was a psychopath.

"Good! VERY GOOD! LET'S PLAY!" Anami yelled like a mad man with excitement in his eyes.

The first flame creature flew toward Kevin who dodged by sidestepping. The creature flew to the ground with all its might. I was rather pleased to find it was not a homing attack but rather a one-shot technique. But, that did not leave the fact he had many more tattoos.

Kevin dodged similar attacks by performing a variety of backflips while another flame creature sharing similarities to a demon, thrust its fist toward him.

Kevin reacted fast, by using electromagnetism to grab hold of a metal plate that was at a distance. Holding it up, he. effectively blocked the attack but was pushed back a bit. He used the same metal plate to tank most attacks he could not dodge.

"Do not forget I am your real opponent!" Anami yelled, striking through the metal plate and hitting Kevin dead in the abdomen.

Kevin was sure of it after receiving the attack, what Anami used to attack right now and to see, despite having his vision blocked was not magic. It was the same technique, Max used but the only difference was that Anami's arm did not change color.

As Anami sunk his fist into Kevin's abdomen, he struck his knee into Kevin's nose causing him to fall in pain with blood falling down his face. Due to the immense pain, Kevin dropped Asura in the process.

"I'm not done!" Kevin whispered, holding back the pain.

He sent out a lightning tiger to the right, while struck with his leg to the left. While doing this, Anami's eyes quickly circulated between Kevin and the materialization. He deployed a flame creature to neutralize the tiger while he held Kevin's leg, breaking it with his elbow.

Kevin groaned in pain. Realizing he took more than he could chew, he tried to crawl away to Lilith who was in combat for aid.

"No one is coming to help! I was going to give you a public execution but I changed my mind, with the villagers flocking here... this is good enough," Anami nodded to his speech.

He realized another bird-like flame creature, but this was by far the biggest he has used, almost as big as the mansion itself. It was quite large, even taking the attention of everyone around.

"KEVIN!" Lilith yelled, trying to run to him. But with the distance between them, it was very unlikely she would make it.

"Goodbye," Anami said, giving a farewell to Kevin.

As the creature approached Kevin, he just watched helplessly. He was not quite sure if his tattoo could devour such a huge creature. Klein always did mention the bad effects of having too much mana. This could be the end.

Yet still, Kevin stretched out his hand. Hanging onto that small piece of hope.

' I still have to regain my memories! I cannot afford to die now!'

Swoosh!

"What happened?" Lilith asked in utter disbelief.

"That thing, it's not normal. Is that...a deviant element?"
