Diary From Another World (Reincarnate to Rule)

Let me tell you straight up, the mc here is ... how should I say it ... INTERESTING. After he was reborn into a world with a game system, our mc thought that the new world he got into is going to be like one of those isekai that he have to kill bosses to level up. But why is this world so different? Where are the other monsters, the bosses that he need to overcome? Is this really just a simple isekai? With a unique style of storytelling from the mc's own diaries and his master's degree in Isekai tropes being useless, how can our mc survive in his new world?

Recruitment (Part 4)

I immediately stood up and chased after him. "Din!" Long Dao was shocked at my reaction, but I didn't care to respond to her at all.

"That name! Finally! I finally found a big hint!" I was too excited. Behind me, I heard footsteps running, Long Dao caught up to me in seconds.

"What was that?" she asked, running beside me.

"It is best if she doesn't know," I thought. "I forgot to ask him something," was the best excuse I could come up with.

"What is it?" she asked me again.

"Uh…" I don't know how to avoid this time. But lucky for me, I was blessed by God, or the devs, Long Dao got distracted by the scene before us. It was him, but not alone. His back was facing us when we caught up to him, to see that he was being confronted by a group of people that looked like gangsters in my world. People on the street have already gone somewhere else. So it was just us, the man, and the gangsters.

"You are Kim Sat right?" the one that seems to be the leader stepped up.

"That is my name," he answered.

Sidetrack: (Wait. The owner did mention his name is Kim Sat. I'm such an idiot for forgetting about that and kept mentioning him as that man.)

"How dare you threaten our young masters?" the leader yelled.

"Oh right. This kind of follow-up happened a lot in movies," I thought to myself.

"Don't waste our time. If you come here to fight, then I'm here," Kim Sat expressed his intense face again.

"Such big words. I wonder how you will behave after your face gets smashed!" the leader laughed.

"But before that," Kim Sat interrupted him.

"Oh? Are you scared now?" the leader said, but Kim Sat ignored him. He turned back to us.

"You two should really leave now," he talked in a very calm way despite the situation.

"You look like you need help," Long Dao said.

"This is my business. I don't want any outsider to get involved," he told us.

"Wait a second," I thought for a sec then stopped Long Dao from her about to open her mouth. "Alright then. We will leave now," I smiled and dragged Long Dao away from the scene. "I will explain," I told her as we walked off.

But we didn't actually leave. We just hid against a wall at the corner of the street. Now Long Dao spoke, "What are you doing?"

"I know that I will sound like a bad person …" I started.

"You are," Long Dao interrupted me.

"Hey!" I raised my voice slightly. I looked at her with an unpleasant face but she ignored me. "As I was saying. I know that this sounds wrong, but I want to see how he fights. If he needs help, then we can just jump in at anytime" I explained.

"I tried to get involved so that I could STOP him from hurting those guys if he went out of control," Long Dao surprised me with her reply.

"You what?" I was confused.

"Those guys are just weaklings that even you can handle without trying, and he is even stronger than me. What do you think the outcome would be?" she just made me looked dumb.

"I hope I can be as confident as you," I replied sarcastically. "Oh? I heard noises. They are fighting now!" We turned our heads around the corner of the wall to sneak at the action scene.

At this point, I want to say that I don't know how to describe a fight. Like yes, punches and kicks were thrown, but I don't know and not going to pretend that I know how to picture a fight. But I can say this much so you can imagine the fight yourself::

Kim Sat was surrounded in a circle. Surrounded him were a bunch of beefy and tall gangsters. Because of their tall figures, Long Dao and I couldn't see what was going on inside the circle. The only thing we saw was that the gangsters were flying left and right out of the circles. We thought that Kim Sat would end in seconds, but it didn't.

After a while, there wasn't any more dude flying out, but instead, the circle began to get smaller. At that point, Long Dao and I looked at each other worrying for Kim Sat. We didn't know if we should jump in or not. We finally made up our minds when we suddenly heard a single scream from the circle. Without a second thought, Long Dao rushed out first while I was a little slower.

She immediately punched at least five people at lightning speed. Suddenly, the circle opened and I saw Kim Sat lying on the ground. He hugged his left leg with his right hand and was crying in pain. Seeing that made my blood boil. Long Dao ran to him and helped him to stand up while I punched some more gangsters to get to them.

"This is not what I was expecting," I said to Long Dao as our backs were against each other with our faces facing the gangsters. "What should we do now?" I asked.

"Fight or flight?" Long Dao asked.

"They also say that in this world?" I was caught by surprise. "Uh… flight if it's possible," I answered.

Smiled confidently, Long Dao replied, "Nothing is impossible."
