"Are you sure that you are not staying back for a while?" Lucifer asked as he tried to hold onto Naomi who was looking at him with a small smile.
"I am sure so better let me go. I will come back soon if you allow me to be on time for work."
It was working, her small pleads and requests always worked on him, she was so petite which was totally impressing the dark lunatic. She was not at all innocent or dumb because she knew exactly what she was getting into and him being the main character in her life was totally using the chance. Lucifer let go off her hand and she ran out of his apartment before he could change his mind. He chuckled at her silliness before sitting back on the couch only to be startled.
"Ahh, my forking hell." He gasped, holding his chest.
"Looks like you had a lot of fun here with that little human." Selene scoffed as she picked up the panties which was on the couch with his finger tips.
"You scared me. This is not hell, you can just loosen up a bit here." He muttered while glaring back at her.
"I have no idea what is going on in your mind because whatever it is, it doesn't suit the Lucifer that I know."
"You have a lot more sides to see, and the one who had seen all that was the girl who just left now." He said pointing at the door making Selene burn in anger.
"Fine, she knows you much more than me who stayed with you in heaven, hell, and now even on earth."
Lucifer ignored her words as he walked to the counter to fix a drink for them and Selene couldn't help but break the ninja blade in her hand into pieces. Her hands were shaking as anger took over her and if she had an opportunity, she would have sliced his throat for being so ignorant toward her. He was always like that and there she was assuming that he would be that way generally, accepting him the way he presented. But she just witnessed him whining and sulking for attention from a mere human like he is another ordinary guy.
"Take the drink, you will feel better after all. You did a good job in keeping that idiot away as I asked you to."
"Like really? I obeyed you not even knowing who she is and what I have to do with her for a drink?"
"Ohh, she is Amela and she is a friend of Naomi. She is a little too annoying as far as I know and I want to keep her away from Naomi till the time I am here. She is a nuisance in between us, you know?" He shrugged while placing the drink in front of her.
"Really? This is just absurd." Selene shouted before dashing out of the apartment leaving a confused man behind.
"She definitely woke up on the wrong side of the bed." He said sipping on his drink.
.
.
"I will get going today. I think he will be somewhere in the city by now so that I can approach him without being too obvious." Lilah informed as she picked up her small handbag.
"You remember what I told you, right? He is stunning with his looks and personality that any girl can fall for him. He knows how to captivate souls so you should be extra careful around him." Cristian warned her.
"He is the devil and I am the angel in charge to destroy him. He can never use his silly tricks on me, Cristian. You have to trust me with this."
"I am not doubting you and I do trust you. In fact, everyone here trusts you and we are backing up for you throughout this battle. We are just a little concerned that he will use his dirty acts on you."
"I will be extra careful." She smiled at them before vanishing into thin air.
Not that far, but she landed in a big building that kind of looked like a hospital as she saw a few sick people sitting by the side. She was confused because every time, she lands next to him, it would be a totally unexpected place. The last time was an apartment where he was whining like a kid and being clingy but now, in a hospital. She looked around to find him even though, she doesn't recognize his face hoping to somehow find him with the aura.
"Of course, what was I thinking? Devil should obviously be in a hospital to pick on sick people. How cruel and cold-hearted?" She asked herself as she climbed upstairs, following her instincts.
Her eyes were wandering all over the place to figure out the unknown building but she didn't notice a man walking out of the door. He closed the door behind him and turned only to hit a random person and stumble back. Lilah gasped as she desperately tried to get a hold of something to not fall, in the process of ripping something expensive. She surely did fall down with a loud thud but a piece of fabric covered her face. Lilah needed a few seconds to process what had happened but when she regained her senses to remove the fabric and look up, there was no one.
"Uhh?" She looked around to see two or three people giving her a questionable glare for still being on the floor.
She stood up and patted her back before taking one more look around, still not finding anyone suspicious. The leather fabric in her hands was the only clue to finding who it was but it didn't seem important to her. The only thing that was troubling her was the fact, the person left without apologizing or helping her up.
"The little brat." She cursed before shoving the fabric in her bag, hoping to find the owner someday.
