5.18 I don't have anyone I miss

This feeling of suffocation went away as quick as it came. Once Bane could see again, he first checked for FengYi who was still there. Then he checked his person to see if everything was okay. Bane realised that he was not hurt nor was anything missing.

"What games are you playing?"Bane asked angrily. He knew this feeling. It meant that someone had infused his surrounding with night tulips, but for it to go away so quickly; it must be a carefully made trap. But how can this little scared kid even do or Know how to do this? Maybe this place had been inlaid with traps to keep people away. Bane concluded. He didn't wait any longer as he grabbed FengYi and left the place.

Bane didn't really intend to kill the boy, but present him to the council as a spy. The council obviously would take some drastic effort after this. But today wasn't the right day. So the 3rd evening from today; when Levay was to announce his decision about the war, Bane will bring the boy there, controlling him using the pearl. Then even if Levay wants to avoid the war, it will become unavoidable.

He made his way to the capital without noticing that the pearl necklace on his neck didn't look like the one he had when he entered the warehouse. Nor did he notice the dark shadow leave the vicinity just before Bane did with FengYi.

Once they reached near the palace, Bane decided to find a hotel and lock FengYi in there. He obviously wouldn't bring him to the castle before 3 days. He wanted to find a hotel nearby the main market so he could check up on the boy easily. When he was looking for a hotel, Bane felt someone stop him as they said, "Oh. Mr.Bane. It's good I found you here. His highness has called for a meeting with the community heads and preists. They are to discuss new Laws for handling convicts. The second head and the 3rd preist were looking for you."

Bane saw as Ilseu calmly explained the situation. He didn't know how to react; the boy was right by him. If he missed the council meeting not only would his position not recover, but Ilseu would doubt his reasons. But he wanted to keep the boy locked up. It takes effort to find the boy, even with his pearl.

"Ah, Master Caliam. The meeting is so sudden I didn't prepare at all." Bane said after some thought.

"Oh. Then I'll inform them that you aren't prepared to attend the meeting." Ilseu said and turned to leave.

"Master Calian. Wait. I can go. But let me accommodate this poor kid first. He has been out all alone in this cold night." Bane said after deciding. It was better not to miss any meetings. His position is compromised as is.

Shu XinYi smirked imperceptibly as he said, "Oh, it's better to take this kid to the temple in the south. They can provide him with all the necessary things. It's better than leaving him in this hotel alone. If it's trouble for you, then I can just drop him there. Are you okay with that young man?" Shu XinYi said looking at the fully clocked boy. After seeing him nod, Bane couldn't do anything. It was better to not create any unnecessary scenes. He can just find the boy again when the time comes.

Bane quickly made his way to the council palace. This meeting took place in the novel too, as Bane remembered it. So Bane could quickly came up with his findings.

Shu XinYi on the other hand took FengYi to the military palace without letting anyone know. He taught FengYi the ways to get in and out of the palace without alerting anyone, before making their way back to his room.

"Here, your pearl. You can learn to control it. Once you go back to your family then you will have to take care of yourself. So learn to control your powers." Shu XinYi said handing the pearl that had now been detached from the necklace. The pearl was grey similar to FengYi's grey eyes. It was also the size of FengYi's pupils.

Surprisingly FengYi didn't take the pearl from Shu XinYi's stretched out hands. "I.. I don't have a home to go back to."

Shu XinYi breathed softly and kneeled to match with the boy's height, "You still have your uncles and aunts. They must be waiting for you. Someone must be waiting for you young man." Even though FengYi did say that his parent's death didn't affect him, the case wouldn't be exactly so.

"It doesn't matter, little old man. I don't have a home. I never had one. Heh, even my parents kept telling me that I will have a home with the one I am married to. But I don't even have anyone I miss, like you miss Uncle Saye." FengYi said.

"Ok than. You can do what you want. So tell me what do you want to do?" Shu XinYi asked. He didn't care much about FengYi's family, he only cared about this boy.

FengYi seriously contemplated, "Even if I decide something right now, it's bound to change in the future. But I have decided to do something that makes everyone know me. Like everyone knows you here as Master Calian, the military commander. I think it's amazing."

Shu XinYi chuckled softly, "Ok then. I'll be by your side young man."

FengYi face palmed saying, "No. You have to be by my uncle's side, so you don't miss him anymore; you dumb little old man. Or you will become grumpy like my mom."

Shu XinYi pinched his ears lightly saying, "Yeah well. Once your uncle is here, then we both will be by your side. This way we can be by each other's sides as well."

FengYi nodded saying, "That's actually not so dumb. Ok then. Where is the kitchen? I am hungry. I will cook some for you as well."

Shu XinYi said, "You are a 9 year old. Go play ball or something man. I am the adult here so I do the cooking."

For the next few days Shu XinYi spend even more time with FengYi. The little boy was eager to grow up like any another kid. Shu XinYi took his time to make the boy learn the things the boy wanted to learn. Shu XinYi had discovered that although FengYi had highly empathetic abilities, the boy was unable to express emotions well. But once he was in his comfort zone, the boy would let his emotions relax. His high emotional intelligence also made him easily able to tease Shu XinYi.

Finally getting a taste of his own medicine, Shu XinYi had started to miss the docile Saye that he could tease. Saye should have reached the dragon kingdom by now, Shu XinYi wondered.

The traps had all been set, and the show would begin once Saye shows up with his negotiation team. Shu XinYi obviously trusted Saye, but he still had a backup plan to disrupt the world. But he knew he wouldn't have to use it.

As expected the morning of the 4th day after Shu XinYi had found FengYi, Levay called for Ilseu specifically. Shu XinYi didn't have to warn FengYi about anything as he was sensible enough by now. Shu XinYi then made his way to the king's palace. It was rare for Levay to call anyone to his own palace. It would mostly be the studies.

Shu XinYi entered the room the servent brought him to, and was met with 4 people. 1 of them was obviously Levay. The other 3 were dragons; in their human forms obviously.

"This is Calisn Ilseu. The military commander of my region. Calian as you can see, we have visitors. Seems like your words really were true." Levay said introducing.

Shu XinYi came forward and bowed to say, "My Leige. Is there something you need me to do?"

Levay said, "Tommorow we will have a council meeting. I am allowing these men to make their claims, under agreed terms ofcourse. We are to sign a peace treaty with the dragon kingdom. I want you to accommodate these men well and make them familiar with the things that they want to know."

Shu XinYi bowed his head again in agreement and turned to meet the 3 dragons.

"I am Helen, this is Ovens and that is Tracy." The man introduced himself and the 3 other men.

Shu XinYi bowed to each one of them. He then gestured them to follow him. For the whole day he accompanied the dragons. They didn't ask about the murder or Bane. They just visited the place like tourists. Shu XinYi was not in a very good mood since he had expected Saye to come instead of these men. Well obviously they would do the job, but Shu XinYi wanted to meet his amnesiac husband.

At the end of the day Helen said, "You really are as the first prince spoke. We have decided to go along with the peace treaty. Tommorow we'll announce our opening clauses in the council along with the punishment for the criminal."

Shu XinYi politely smiled, "Thankyou for considering it." But Shu XinYi was very angry right now.
