Rain fell on the dilapidated buildings. Dead soldiers could be seen from both sides of the war. Destroyed tanks and futuristic vehicles littered the ground. It reeked of blood. Blood that would immediately be washed away by the rain. A new contender had entered the battlefield.
The gigantic figure appeared across the horizon. His form emerged from the ocean, a shadow covering the entire city. There was only a single eye on his face. It was a cyclops. A colossal giant. The figure took his time approaching. Sora had plenty of time to decide what to do.
Darkstar currently sat on the roof of an undamaged skyscraper. His back rested against an electric generator. Wonder Woman was in his arms, an exhausted groan escaping her lips. She couldn't help but return to consciousness when feeling the constant rumbles.
"What in Hera's name…" She muttered.
The sleepy man's thumb gently caressed her skin, causing her to flinch. Only now did she realize the man keeping her warm. She glanced at the distant giant before looking up at Sora. The young Lockhart's mask had retracted, allowing her to view his face. It didn't matter since he was still covered in darklight.
"Did you have a good nap?" He joked.
"Darkstar. This is probably a stupid question, but are we close to victory?"
"...Yes. There are no stupid questions you could ask me, Wonder Woman."
"Diana. Call me Diana."
"Mmm? What about secret identities and all that?"
"How far along are we? What's the situation?" Diana ignored his question.
"King Orm is defeated. With his loss, the army will scatter. This big guy is probably the last one."
Diana looked at the giant again. As she came to a realization, she noticed how much Darkstar's hands seemed to wander. His caress had reached her thighs and waist at some point. She immediately gave him a frown. Before she could comment, an incredible sensation flooded her body.
"Mmmmnnn…"She hummed in relaxation.
"......" There was a sneaky smile on his face as he watched her.
Light was emitted from his hands, and it changed everything. The Amazon suddenly felt amazing. It was almost addicting. She had already forgotten what she was thinking earlier. Instead, she focused on the enemy.
"That is Polyphemus. He's the son of Poseidon. A demigod." She said.
"Poseidon? This giant is helping the Atlanteans?"
'That's a bit fishy. What are the Greek gods up to?' He thought.
"Maybe Polyphemus is acting on his own? It wouldn't make sense for the gods to be here." Wonder Woman suggested.
RUMBLE
The ground shook again. Each of the giant's steps caused it to get worse. It was starting to get annoying. As Sora thought of a way to get rid of the cyclops, a single black knight appeared beside him.
This knight seemed a bit peculiar. Through his divinity, Darkstar could feel it. This darklight construct…it was asking for more. The sleepy man thought for a moment. Why not? Let's see where it leads.
He closed his eyes and focused on this specific construct. Divinity poured into this single knight. Its form began to change, the armor morphing into a tight fitting trench coat. Silver pads formed on the shoulders.
'Hmmm. The form it's taking. I know it from somewhere.' Darkstar thought.
The evolution continued. Shining silver hair grew from its head and flowed down to his waist. That's right…it took the form of man. Silver eyes appeared and an arrogant smirk adorned his face. That expression fit him somehow. At that moment, a beautiful wing exploded from his back. It sparkled like the universe.
'Ahhh. Now I remember. It's the S-class soldier.'
The greatsword changed sizes, becoming skinny and elongating to almost 15 feet. It soon resembled a katana. The newly formed darklight humanoid grasped the weapon in a reverse grip and kneeled.
"From here on, you will lead the knights." Sora commanded.
As if in response to his words, the one winged angel's eyes lit up with energy. Silver flames danced on his blade. It seemed to be a mix of the young Lockhart's light and darklight form.
"Who…is that?" Diana asked.
Her eyes were wide in amazement. She'd just witnessed the birth of a supernatural being. Sora couldn't help but smile in satisfaction. It took a good amount of divinity to satisfy this knight. The sleepy man was a bit tired.
"He is the new general of my legion." He chuckled.
The darklight angel finally rose to his feet. His perpetual smirk widened as he looked down at Sora who lazed on the ground. Darkstar couldn't help but smirk in return.
'Your name will be Zel. Go deal with the trash.' He transmitted.
Zel immediately turned toward the approaching giant. He took a step off the building and vanished. A single feather floated to the ground with his disappearance.
"Stylish." Sora couldn't help but mutter.
…
…
…
The rumbling had finally stopped. Polyphemus was no longer approaching the city. As he stood in the middle of the ocean, he stared at the being that just appeared in the air above him. It was a little man with a little wing.
There was a moment of silence. Almost five minutes went by as they stared at each other. Since the intimidation wasn't working, the cyclops finally spoke.
"That's a long stick you carry, little one." The sarcasm could be heard in his voice.
"............."
The smirk on Zel's face didn't change at all. It was as if this expression was carved onto his face. He casually floated down in front of Polyphemus, acting as if he was taking a stroll. The giant frowned when not getting a response. It was eerie.
"By order of Poseidon, I have come to finish this war. The true gods will rule again. It will be like the times of old."
"............."
"Alright then." A vein was visible on the giant's forehead. He was angry.
Raising his hand, the ocean grew violent. Water wrapped around the demigod's arm. It swirled with high intensity and pressure. The pulsing force resembled a hydrogen bomb.
Polyphemus slapped down toward the one winged angel. It was as if he was swatting a fly. The ocean roared with his movements.
BOOM
The pressure of his swing flattened the ocean. Air currents blasted in every direction. It felt good to smack flies. The giant smiled in satisfaction, believing the little man to be dead.
After a few moments of self narcissism, he felt something on his hand. Almost like a bug was on his skin. He couldn't help but look.
"Hmmm?"
Zel was floating beside the massive hand. The darklight angel held the oversized katana in one hand, and one of the demigod's fingers in the other. His smirk grew dark.
RIIIIIP
The giant's finger was torn off his hand. Blood spurted out like a fountain. It happened too fast.
"AHHHH!" Polyphemus roared while holding his hand. A loud splash resounded as the finger plopped into the ocean.
Fury soon covered the demigod's face. When seeing the arrogant smirk on Zel's face, he clutched his hand tighter. He was seething with rage.
"You arrogant curr! Die!"
A full powered punch hurtled towards the arrogant general. Right before it connected, Zel vanished. The air pressure dug a tunnel into the ocean. Polyphemus didn't grow conceited this time. He looked in all directions, searching for the birdman.
Unknowingly, the darklight angel had appeared near the giant's ankle. Zel walked across the air as he gazed at the horizon. It was his first time seeing such scenery since gaining true consciousness. His katana blurred for a millisecond as he continued walking.
A few seconds went by before a bloody line appeared on Polyphemus' ankle. The slash had finally taken effect. The leg and foot were disconnected.
"AAAHHH!" Poseidon's son cried out as his massive body fell backward.
The ocean was upheaved as the colossal giant fell into the water. It was all calculated. Zel hadn't changed his steps from where the ankle used to be. He now found himself standing directly beside the cyclops' face.
Disbelief covered his features as he looked into Zel's eyes. That perpetual smirk. At first it had made the demigod scoff. Then it aroused his anger. This time however, it evoked fear. Water covered his uninjured hand and another divine punch was thrown.
Before it could even reach the darklight angel, his hand disconnected and fell into the water. Zel hadn't even swung the sword yet but Polyphemus' hand was severed. The pain only added to the giant's fear.
The one winged angel couldn't help but close his eyes. He basked in the growing fear of his target. It felt good. His smirk widened exponentially and his steps continued. Zel was now moving past the cyclops as if he wasn't there.
Polyphemus stayed quiet and didn't move a muscle. He felt like a lamb waiting to be slaughtered. Once the angel had walked far enough away, the demigod took this as a chance to escape.
His only foot dug into the ground in preparation to jump away. Right before he sprung into the air, the foot disconnected from his leg. He fell once more. This time his face was underwater. He didn't know how Zel even reached his foot! Polyphemus had still been watching the angel as he was getting ready to escape. What the hell was going on?
"Stay away from me!" He cried as he tried to crawl away.
Zel only watched as the son of Poseidon was reduced to this. It seemed like the darklight angel enjoyed breaking the will of his prey. He enjoyed tearing down their psyche.
The giant had only crawled for a few minutes before he felt another searing pain in his already injured hand. Another finger had been ripped off. There was no scream of pain this time. He kept his mouth closed, the torture showing on his expression. Polyphemus' eyes had watered up.
Tears were beginning to fall. He just wanted to go home. Why did his father give him such a mission? This was suicide! He didn't want to die. He wanted to see his lover one more time. He missed her dearly. So he continued to crawl.
"Galatea…"
SLASH
"AHHHH!"
The hand was sliced off. The demigod no longer had any extremities. No limbs. Only bleeding stumps. And still…he continued to crawl. The ocean assisted him.
"No more…please!" He begged.
Zel stood on the giant's shoulder as he crawled across the ocean. The angel gazed at the dark clouds above with fascination. He'd never seen anything like it. The raging ocean and the stormy sky. They were so beautiful.
By this point, Sora was covering Diana's eyes. This wasn't something she should see. Even though she was a warrior, it was too brutal. He didn't want her view of him to change so soon.
"I am a warrior! Why are you covering my eyes, Darkstar?!"
"Shhh…just know that victory is ours. This war is over."
Wonder Woman could only sigh. She was too weak to move, and could only accept his actions. His wandering hands became her next focus. Her thighs rubbed against each other. Love Tap wasn't something women could fight against. It could tame even the most violent and evil women.
Sora's eyes shined as he watched the one sided fight. It was dark. It was disturbing. He would allow Zel to enjoy his first moments of true consciousness.
Polyphemus was growing weak due to blood loss. He couldn't keep crawling for much longer. He knew it. Zel knew it. It was only a matter of time. The strange angel watched as multiple emotions flashed across the cyclops' face.
Horror. Frustration. Hope. Desire. Determination. But now…it was the angel's favorite expression. Despair. Zel couldn't help but raise both hands into the air. It was as if he was drunk off the giant's anguish. He could feel it. The hopelessness coursing through the demigod's body. After a few seconds, he vanished.
'Can you feel it?'
Polyphemus stopped crawling upon hearing the voice in his head. It was gentle but eerie. It was absolute.
'Despair…drown in it.'
The son of Poseidon felt something sharp entering the back of his skull. It was incredibly slow. It was excruciatingly painful. Silver flames erupted throughout his colossal body.
Zel was slowly stabbing his katana into the giant's brain. The muscles in Polyphemus' body tightened. He couldn't help but flail about, trying to escape the blade. But it was futile. The blade sunk deeper into his cranium.
SPLASH SPLASH
The constant flailing sent waves in every direction. It still didn't pause the blade's advance. The tip of the blade finally touched his brain.
"KIIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!" A high pitched squeal was the only sound Polyphemus could make. It was primal, a sound that most animals made when dying to a predator.
SPLASH
The blade finally pierced through the skull and ran through his open mouth. Just like that, all movement stopped. There was no more flailing. No more splashing. It was peaceful.
If one were to look on the back of the cyclops' head, they would find nothing. Zel was already gone.
