As for Ceres, this dwarf planet positioned between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter is cloaked in a mantle layer containing a significant amount of water ice. Due to the convenience of ice harvesting, it has also become one of the few populous strongholds in the Asteroid Belt, an important gathering place for orbital factory space stations.
In nearly all cases, Ceres serves as a local key cosmic industrial base on Earth, and it is also a permanent location for customs space stations. Goods from the orbital factories are inspected and go through customs locally before they are directly transported to the Jupiter Stargate for export, or shipped to Mars and Earth for sale.
