Sylvia's heart raced. With adrenaline coursing through her veins, she ran to the window. A hiss escaped her lips as a shred of glass tore the skin of her foot, and blood dripped from the wound.
Not caring about the pain, Sylvia looked outside through the window. At first, she didn't find anyone outside, but then she noticed the slight rustling in the shrubs at a distance.
Somebody was there. But who?
