There was a large hole on his shirt, which was caused by the blast, along with countless burn marks and tear.
However, except from that, the rest of his body were in perfect condition.
It didn't even look like he had just taken such a powerful blast at close range.
"Y-you're okay…" Emma mumbled, staring like she had just seen a ghost.
"Yeah." Liam said, flashing a warm smile at her.
"Stand back Emma, I'll finish in a bit." He said, before pulling off his burnt shirt, flinging it to the ground.
Emma gasped again in awe, her gaze feasting on the well packed muscles on his broad back.
'Has Liam's back… always been this huge?' She thought, stepping away from him.
'I wonder how it would feel to… touch it.' She mumbled inwardly, her cheeks turning red at the thought.
Meanwhile, Rex's face remained frozen in horror, unable to comprehend whatever just happened.
Wasn't Liam supposed to be the weak kid without a blessing… so how come he was still standing even after taking his attack?
To make things worse, his attack had already raised quite a commotion at the hospital, so people were gradually gathering around him.
"That's Rex! And… who's that other guy…?"
"What could they be doing?"
"Rex attacked him… I saw it."
"It's the Silvagolds… better to stay away."
Different whispers floated around, but none of them dared move closer to him, in fear of attracting his wrath.
'Damn it…' Rex thought, his eyes darting at all the people around.
"This… doesn't make any sense." He found himself muttering, his gaze drifting back to Liam.
"You're just a weakling… without a blessing…" He mumbled, his body trembling in anger.
"You're nothing compared to me!" He suddenly charged at Liam, swinging his fist towards his face once again.
"I already told you." Liam said, forcefully stopping his punch mid-way.
"You're too weak." With that, he swung his fist, landing a swift upper cut on Rex's jaw.
"Argh!" Rex felt the full force of the punch slam into his jaw, knocking out a few of his teeth.
His body was sent flying once again, bouncing numerous times on the hard floor before sliding to an halt.
The jaws of those watching dropped in shock, their eyes wide as they watched Rex bounce around like a rag doll.
"N-no…" Rex mumbled, spewing out blood.
The light gloves around his hands flared once more, growing slightly larger and even thicker.
He slowly stood up, readying himself to attack again.
'I don't… accept thi—'
The next thing he knew, a massive sole filled his vision, and in a split second, a powerful kick slammed into his face, knocking him right back into the ground.
"Aggh!" He grunted, coughing out blood once more.
'I-i can barely see…' He mumbled inwardly, gnashing his teeth in a bid to hold back the pain.
His nose was smashed in, with blood and dirt blinding his vision, giving him only a blurry image of his surroundings.
"Aghh…" He groaned, weakly crawling on his stomach.
He could see a vague image of Liam's leg just up ahead, stained with a few drops of his blood.
Gnashing his teeth, he slowly crawled towards the leg, weakly stretching his hand at it.
'H-he's weaker than me… I… can't accept t-this…' He thought, channeling even more power into his blessing.
The gloves suddenly lit up once again, countless specks of light rapidly gathering in front of his palm.
However, they suddenly flickered, rapidly disintegrating into tiny white particles, before vanishing into thin air.
"N-no…" Rex choked out, his body trembling in shock. 'I can't… keep up my blessing…'
"You don't get it do you?" Liam's asked, looking down at him with a sinister smirk on his face.
Rex's body shivered at the sound of his voice, his breath stuck in his throat like a lump.
"N-no… this can't be… you're nothing… compared to—"
Liam suddenly raised up his feet, bringing it down on Rex's outstretched hand.
Thwam!
"Aghhhh!!" The red haired boy screamed out in agony as the sole of his shoe slammed into his hand, crushing more than half of the bones in his fingers.
"My hand!!" He shouted, tears and snot dripping down his face like water.
Liam gently crouched down to his level, grabbing unto his hair, before pulling his head up.
"How does it feel… being on the receiving end?" He asked, tightening his grip on his hair.
Rex's face froze in horror, his body shivering uncontrollably at the sight of Liam's face.
"Can't you talk… about how much fun you had?" Liam muttered, his lips slowly curling into an evil smirk.
"F-fine… I'm sorry… okay, I-I'm sorry…" Rex muttered, the smirk on Liam's face sending chills down his spine.
He didn't care how pathetic he looked anymore, or that there were people around… watching him.
All he wanted was for all this to stop… for Liam to just leave him alone.
However, Liam wasn't planning on accepting any apology in the first place, and the smirk on his face grew wider instead.
"For making my life hell… I'm going to take everything valuable to you." He said, drawing Rex's ear closer to his lips.
"Starting from your cute sister over there…" He whispered, Rex's eyes widening in horror. "And there's nothing you do about it."
"D-don't you dare—"
Thwam!
Rex's wasn't able to complete his words, as Liam abruptly slammed his face into the floor, causing the boy to finally lose consciousness.
Liam's gaze lingered on Rex's unconscious body for a few seconds, before chuckling quietly to himself.
Deep within his mind, he could hear that timid voice that had been disturbing him slowly quiet down… until it was no more.
'Finally… it's gone.' He thought, letting out a low sigh of relief.
He slowly stood back up on his feet, staring down at Rex with a slight smirk.
Even though it was the other Liam who was bullied by Rex, doing the same to arrogant teenager still filled him with a strange sense of gratification.
But still, he wasn't done with Rex. The only way he could truly repay him back for all what he did to him, was by doing exactly what he said… and that was taking everything he held valuable.
'My life from now… is going to get a lot more interesting.' He thought.
"What the hell is going on here?!" A loud shout suddenly sounded from behind, jolting him out of his thoughts.
"Huh?" Liam muttered, turning his head around.
Walking towards him was an average height man with short black hair, thin nose and a pair of large, black eyes.
The spectators quickly gave way for him, unwilling to cause any trouble for themselves.
The man's narrow brows furrowed into a deep frown as he stared at the scene before him.
His gaze kept drifting from the red haired teenager lying with his face buried in the floor, to the strange white haired student, and the frown on his face deepened even further.
'Rex Silvagold knocked down… this is troublesome…' He thought, clicking his tongue in annoyance.
