Chapter 2: Unplanned Meeting

"You've got to be kidding me." I was about to walk out but then she pulls me.

"Bi*ch, just go. That guy disturbed me in two fuvking weeks."

"I'm too tired. I don't want to deal with him anymore."

"I know but I fcking efforted here too. Look at that damn ugly guy waiting for you." my eyebrows knitted.

"You saw his face?"

"Yes! Goddamn I thought it was satan."

"Bruh, I'm telling you now to shut the fck up because we're in a Christian school."

"Yeah right, you swore." l rolled my eyes as I leer on him.

"And who says you can meet with him?" I asked Sierra.

"Why? Jealous?" I got dazed as she teased whilst wiggling her eyebrows.

I can see his head still looking down with his arms crossed.

"Why did he decided to go here? We're too far away from each other. What's the sudden decision?" I asked Sierra.

"It's obvious that he wants to get back at you."

"How did you--"

"Stop asking and go there." she dowels.

"No." I stubbornly said.

She walks towards him then pulls him. I begin to panic as I was about to run away but she pulls my shirt. She drag us to the side of the school where there are nothing much people.

"Talk" she shortly said then quickly walks away.

"Ugh!" I stomped my foot on the ground.

We were just standing silently and not making eye contact. Our heads were facing oppositely while our arms were crossed.

I still haven't seen his face even though we got dragged by Sierra.

"Um..." he mutters as I got surprised and nervous.

I got surprised by how deep his voice is. I mean, we always talk thru the phone before but it's different in person. I got nervous since this is the first time we see each other. We don't do video calls since he knows that I'm shy.

"Hey" he spoke but I ignored him.

I may not look serious to him since I just met him online but I do still have the slightest feelings for him.

"I'm sorry" he suddenly said.

"Yeah" I concisely said.

Another silence once again prevailed between the two of us when we suddenly looked at each other.

I could see in him that his eyes seemed to be glistening as I did not know what my expression would be.

My heart suddenly pounded fast and I could hear it pounding loudly. I can't explain if I'm still nervous or I'm feeling different now. My mind wandered when we looked at each other as if I didn't want to let go of the stare in his eyes.

I haven't loved someone before but I think this is how it feels to love someone especially when the two lovers meet. The only difference is that we separated before the meeting and it's unplanned.

"So what now? Aren't you two not gonna talk? Will you just stare and then will come back together after?" she broke our moment and that's when we realized that we had been staring at each other for a long time.

I felt my cheeks turn red so I looked in the other direction to avert my gaze as I saw Sierra raise her other eyebrow, wondering what I had done.

"Why do you seem to be avoiding now? I saw you staring at each other for a long time, and now you were embarrassed?"

"Nothing." we both said at once.

"Yeah right. I'll go for now but you should be done talking once I get back" then she left immediately.

"Um, let's sit there first" I nodded in agreement and we sat on a nearby bench.

"So... Uhm..."

"Just say what you want to say. I have to go somewhere else."

"Where are you going?"

"None of your business." I sulky said.

"You are also bad-tempered even in person. I thought it's only in calls" he said then chuckles. I rolled my eyes in irritation.

"Can you speak now? You bothered my friend for two weeks for this and then you won't speak either. If you don't say anything, I'll just leave." I stood up and when I was about to walk, he suddenly grabbed me by the arm.

"No, please. Sit down. I'm still preparing what I want to say."

"Preparing? Before you talk to me you should have thought about what you want to say."

"I'm sorry. I was stunned to see you so I forgot exactly what I was going to tell you because I was also nervous." I sat up scornfully and leaned my chin on my palm.

"Okay, listen. I came here so we could talk in-depth." he said and took a deep breath.

"I want us to get back together!" he shouts. My expression was replaced by a confused one as I stared at him.

I was staring at him and I could only hear the air because of the sudden silence of the surroundings. I wondered why there was a stillness and when I turned around, there were so many people looking at us. I pushed him and after that, he scratched his head caused by embarrassment.

"Why did you shout it?!" I said aloud in a whisper to him.

"I was nervous. I'm sorry." he replied as I facepalmed.

"Can we talk on the phone call later? This wouldn't work for now." I sigh as he shyly nods.

"I guess, I'll go for now. I hope we can meet again next time. This time we'll plan it."

"Uhm, yeah. I'll think about it." he sadly smiled then grabs his bag.

"I'll see you soon."

"Yeah." he was about to leave but he stopped in his tracks.

"And one more thing." I raised my eyebrows in a questioning expression.

"Congratulations."

This time, his smile looks proud, and then he leaves.

I am now facing his back, watching him walking away until I don't see him anymore.

And I just realized that he traveled here just to see me.

"I guess I'll unblock him later and talk to him."
