| 9 - Welcome Ceremony

I didn't mean to hurt her. I always have the urge to do what I did, every time I see her. I got furious when she said I'm the only one successful in doing so to her. Does it mean others tried to take advantage of her? Except for that warrior of mine I killed. I should have done worst to him than just snapping his neck. It has already been done.

I can feel Amari's pain because I have already mated to her by force. I know it was despicable. Therefore, I can already hear her thoughts. I guess she doesn't know it. Except, I'm the only one to hear her thoughts, others couldn't.

Each night she's having nightmares about me. I'm her nightmare! That thought alone made me want to make my own life a living hell. I put her through this. It's just that I couldn't control myself and my wolf blood is no help. My alpha blood is making me even crazier about her than I already am.

The very first time I laid my eyes on her in the kitchen, she took my breath away. I knew that very moment that she is my-she was an omega, but still, it's like she is pulling me to her. She looked so innocent and timid, that she is. She is someone I've been longing to see. Seeing her reminded me of ten years of misery. It was my first time to even smiling for a long time. I smiled at her sweetly and I couldn't help to stare at her with a certain longing. I swore to never let this off. I knew exactly why I feel like this!

Suddenly, Kelly whispered in my ear, something that made my blood boil. I wondered if Amari res just acting innocent to catch every man's attention. Kelly said that Amari's a whore around the pack house, and has slept with almost every male wolf of the pack and even male at the school. My jaw thicked and my eyes hardened. I contemplated for a while, but who knows, she might just have been pretending to be innocent. I'll find out soon.

The day before the Ceremony, I worked all day, trying to take my mind off her. I have a lot of enemies out there, lurking around. They couldn't find anything to be my weakness. That's why I couldn't risk outsiders knowing I already have. That I have, Amari, my love.

As I looked out the window, a car pulled up in front of my territory. Anger took over me as I saw something, rather infuriating. A guy went to the side and opened the door for Amari to step out. I know too well that look the guy is giving to Amari. He has a thing for her. I fisted my hand as the guy leaned down to kiss her. I couldn't take the idea of another guy kissing her, so I walk away from the window to prepare for the ceremony. I don't want to see them kissed or even held hands, or her with any other guy.

I wanted to snap that guy's neck right there and then.

On the day of the Welcome Ceremony, Amari was busy preparing. So do I, busy watching her from afar. Call me a creep, I know I am. Her eyes wanders to check around until they landed on me who had been staring at her with desire. Desire since the very beginning. I smirked at her. She frowned at me and rolled her eyes, then looked away. She really is something else. I shook my head at my silly thought.

For the entire welcome party, she wasn't present. And I've been itching to see her.

I stood next to the stage waiting to be called by Mr. Grate.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen," he began. "Please allow me to start my speech with gratitude...it is my pleasure to be standing here in front of you for the last time. I would like to thank you for allowing me to lead this pack as a substitute Alpha for 10 years: For being the good pack members. I've always treated you all as my family and you as well to me. Tonight, I am announcing my departure for tomorrow. As you all have heard, I found my second chance mate a week ago. She lives across the city and I am choosing to live a life as an ordinary werewolf citizen with her. Thanks to the moon goddess for my second chance mate...And I am honored to announce the arrival of our awaited Alpha." As I stood beside him, gasp, whispers, and clapping of hands surrounded the entire field. "I officially introduce to you our new alpha, Alpha Andres Sage D'Angelo."

I took the mike from him as I look around the pack, looking for someone. Only to be met with disappointment. "Good evening...I am Alpha Andres Sage D'Angelo, your Alpha." I pursed my lips and continue, "For ten years, I trained at the Dark Crescent Moon Ground for conditioning. A training ground for alphas, betas, deltas, chief-in-commands, and warriors. After years of training, one thing I learned, is to never have a weakness. Having something or someone they could use against you, will always be your downfall. I want the old pack back. Back to its past state. I want every male, even female in my pack to be prepared and trained for anything. This pack was known to be ruthless and known for its great warriors...I will revive the old Mångata Pack. My Chief-in-Command, Chase will lead the training and I don't consider a weak werewolf to be a warrior. Be sure of that..."

I continued to speak, then I introduced my second and third in command to the field after my short speech.

"Alpha!"

I turned to see a seductive look from Kelly Kendrick. I know what she's doing from the way she dresses.

"Hi, Miss Kendrick, is it?" I raised an eyebrow, though I knew who she was.

A suggestive smile made its way to her lips. "Oh, you remembered. I like guys who always remember my name. Can I invite you for a little drink?"

"Lead the way, then," I hinted.

She interlaced arms with me as we walked to the corner and she ordered a drink for us.

"Kelly, have you seen Amari yet?" the guy with Amari earlier asked while I drink silently.

"No, just go and look for her, Hunter," Kelly whispered. My Alpha hearing sense didn't fail me to hear that. He turned and mumbled incoherently.

"Sorry about that," Kelly whispered and placed a hand on my shoulder. I looked at her hand on my shoulder and she smirked at me.

"Who was he?" I asked with no emotion. "He's not from this pack."

We continue to drink for I don't know how long. I looked around the celebration only to see Jedrick, Xander, and Chase with women by their sides. I shook my head. Typical!

The next thing I knew, Kelly is inviting me to her room. I wonder why? Hah! I knew exactly why.

The next thing I knew, I am alone with this small woman I desire the most.

The next thing I knew, she was thrown on the bed.

The next thing I knew, she was crying underneath me and was begging for me to stop. I didn't listen.

The next thing I knew, I woke up on top of her. Her head was tilted to the side with dried tears, and puffy and red eyes. I enjoyed myself last night, that's for sure. I sat up and looked at her helpless state.

The next thing I saw, is the bed stained with blood. Hers in particular. Not just a little spot was stained, but it's a murderous bed. One thing I knew for sure-what Kelly said was a lie. I was Amari's first and only I will be.

I went away from her. I can't risk others knowing who I am as I forgot to do something important.

A knock on the door pulled me out of my memory.

Xander entered the study holding an envelope.

"How's the training going on?"

"Chase's busy with it. We're stepping to the next level. I can see it already." He informed. He took a deep breath and sighed disappointedly. "You don't have to be so hard on her. We all can see what's going on. Don't let the past ruin what's coming. You are the most powerful Alpha. They don't know it yet, especially her. I know you're suppressing yourself. I'm sure there was no second thought in what you did. But kick the habit, it won't end well."

My jaws were thick as he said that. I stood up and glared at him. "Is that why you are here?!" I raged. "Don't tell me what to do. I know-"

"No, I only saw the look in your eyes...I came here to inform you about the coming threat if they come to know." He sighed in disdain

"Continue," I ordered.
