| 16 - Mrs. D'Angelo?

🌼Amari's P. O. V.🌼

When we reached the hospital, he instantly helped me out. We sat in the waiting room and an old lady called my name. We entered the room and the doctor smiled and then looked up at Alpha Andres.

"Alpha Andres?" she stood up and looked at me. "If I've known it was you I would have prioritized you."

Alpha Andres helped me sit on the chair and stood behind me.

"No, it's fine," I assured. "We just arrived."

The doctor smiled at me sweetly and introduced herself as Mrs. Raquel Baker. She must be in her early fifties. I know we have a pack doctor, but she's not an OB/GYN. Alpha said earlier that after this we are going shopping after visiting the doctor.

"I'm glad to see you settle down, "she said looking at Alpha Andres happily. "I'm gonna ask you questions and we're going to take some tests, Ms. Fran-Mrs. D'Angelo." What! Mrs. D'Angelo?

"No. We are not-"

"That'd be great"-Alpha squeezed my shoulder a little harder making me yelp-"right, Mia Amore, my wife?"

I responded with a gulp and a small nod of my head. If looks could kill, I'd be 6ft. underground now. Wife? I'm never going to marry him. I don't love him. He's an abuser.

Doctor Baker must have sensed when she laughed awkwardly. "I have some questions for you, my dear," she informed...

After asking me questions and I answered them with honesty, she made me lie on the bed with Alpha beside me. I don't know what he feels about this. Perhaps, he doesn't want me to know his emotions. His face is hard and emotionless.

After the ultrasound, she printed the result. My baby is just like a strawberry in size. It's so tiny.

"I've made you a schedule for the next ultrasound. We'll be able to tell the gender of your baby for your next visit. If there's any problem you can call me anytime." We thanked her and went out of the hospital.

Inside the car, I am clutching the envelope close to my chest when I see Alpha Andres' knuckles turn white. He's holding the steering wheel tightly. He turned to me and all of a sudden kissed me hard on the lips. I didn't get a chance to respond when he pulled my dress down. It made my eyes to well up. This is all he does to me. Kisses me, touches me in a way I never liked.

He pulled away with his face a millimeter away. "Why did you deny it when the doctor called you by my surname?" he asked a little calmer and wiped my tears.

I shook my head cause I don't know what to say. We aren't married. Why would I lie to the Doctor? I decided to answer him anyway, "We are not husbands and wives."

He finally gets back and seat properly and pulled back my dress. "We will soon be one," he responded and he began to drive.

I looked out the window because I missed the outside world. For ten months, I stayed could only be inside the territory's premises. He put his large hand on my thigh rolling up my dress. I tried to get his hand away, but he placed it even closer to my private. I only huffed in response. I feel the spark, but why have I never had a whiff of his scent? Is he trying to hide from his mate? I know you thought he still could read my thoughts, but not anymore. Doc. Jamie taught me how to block him. Good for him. An invasive person like him? He's a jerk-

"-more! Mia Amore!"

I jerked my head to see him already staring at me with concern. "What's wrong?" His voice is soft and tender.

"Ummm, nothing. It was nothing."

"I'll let this pass for now. Next time don't lie to me," he warned.

I only nod my head. He's still looking at my face.

We went inside the mall and people began to stare and whisper to one another.

I get anxious whenever there are a lot of people. Alpha Andres squeezed my hand, making me relax in an instant.

We entered a shop with many expensive-looking dresses. We were welcomed by staff, especially Alpha.

"Choose whatever you like," he offered.

"This shop looks expensive. We can go somewhere less expen-"

"No! I want you to buy anything you like. Right here, right now!" His voice is low and dangerous. I gulped. I don't like fancy clothing. I have a lot of loose shirts and dresses already.

After a few minutes, she is carrying a mountain of dresses for my pregnancy. Most of them were picked by him.

He left the bags with the guards as we walk around. We entered an expensive french coffee shop. A waiter approached and smiled at me.

"Just take my wife's order, then leave!" Alpha roared. The waiter and I flinched at his tone of voice. What's his problem?

"Ummm, sure...Sorry."

"It's okay. I'll have a cup of hot chocolate"-I skimmed the menu-" and...macarons." I turn to Alpha who is already looking at me. "Ummm...wha-what do you like?" I stammered.

"Order for me, Amore," he asked me in his sweet tone this time.

"What if you don't like what I-"

"I will eat anything you offer," he reassured me. I ordered him Baguette de Champagne and espresso.

When the order came I couldn't hold the excitement of tasting french macarons.

We begin to eat in silence until I remember something. "Ummm...Alpha?" I called out. He hums in response.

Then, I took a deep breath saying, "I wanted to thank you for bringing me outside. I haven't been out for 10 months."

He bit his lower lip and looks away. "Don't worry. I'll take you out more often starting today." Really? Is this for real?

"Really?" I asked in disbelief and excitement. He nodded his head and I run from my chair and hugged him. "Thank you! Yey!"

He laughed at me silently and stole a kiss on the corner of my lips. I instantly backed away to sit still.

He finished eating first and just watched me the whole time I'm eating. When I finished my food, I still feel like eating something. Oh, ice cream!

"Al-Alpha Andres, can-can we eat ice cream?" I requested.

He smirked at me sniggering, "Is it requested by our baby?"

I rolled my eyes at him pouting. I nodded afterward.

We went to the counter when we get to an ice cream shop. I ordered mint chocolate chips, a flavor I don't really like as an ice cream flavor. It must be my baby's request.

"Thank you," I said to the woman on the cash register.
