A Family Affair

"I can't believe that you are at work." Jasper eyed his friend speculatively.

"Why are you surprised? Is there somewhere else i should be?" Caden asked, looking unbothered by his friend's scrutiny.

"Nova is ill, is she not? Should you not be taking care of her? She would need someone to comfort her." He asked.

"I do not have a degree in medicine and I am certain there is nothing I can do to help her, more over her father came to see her, I am certain he is quite capable of giving her whatever comfort she supposedly needs." Caden said blankly.

Jasper stared at him while he kept on working. Caden had always been confusing, he had a particular way of doing things that was at odds with the way everyone else was and he thought that being married was going to maybe mellow him out but that did not seem very likely.

"I saw the video of you being arrested by those cops, it is trending all over the internet. That was wild." Jasper said in wide eyed shock.
