Confrontation With The Mother

"You cannot keep my client any longer, you have to release him immediately and drop all of the charges against him." Lance Ben said without much ado as soon as he entered the captain's office and stood at the door.

"We cannot do that, we plan on arraigning him later today and then you can argue your case before the judge." The captain said as he eyed the man who remained standing.

Lance smiled slowly, took a few steps forward and placed his briefcase on the ground before sitting opposite the captain. "You have no case against him, his wife has told you that she was attacked by some men and her husband saved her."

"If what she said is true then how come there is no evidence of these supposed attackers?" The captain asked.

"Are you asking me to do your job captain? I am not here to tell you what to do, I am here to secure my client's release." Lance asked in a bored voice.
