Tomorrow will be a bright morning for you to seize

As Odin(ori) and Serena walked out of the room they saw the space marine laying on an operating table but comparing the size it was more like an adult laying in a dog bed.

"It seems you decided to go with project Novik."

"Well, it's either that or maybe project apex and I doubt we want to make them that strong."odin said as he put the syringe down on the cart with all the other operation equipment.

"It is fun to let them reach the first stage but not fun in this adventure maybe once we're done." Odin(ori) said as he snapped his fingers and the operation table became bigger Odin also brought another table for Serena.

"So how are we doing this?" Odin asked the other as he organized everything. Serena laid on the table and Odin(ori) snapped his finger again her armor switched to a surgical gown.

"Let's use project ascendence," Odin(ori) said as he brought out a silver orb it floated above the table and scanned them with blue light after a green light appeared they soon got ready.

"Isn't that the special genetic engineering project the American empire did in 48173?"

"Yea I lead the project after the war against the Nico empire fun times though." Odin(ori) said as he took out a syringe and injected it into Serena.

"Yea I forgot you became the sovereign of the earth for a few thousand years before leaving but didn't the project fail because you left and humanity couldn't be led?"odin said as he took out a bundle of moving nanites and placed it on the space marines face.

"Well there were many reasons after leaving the empire it couldn't keep itself together which lead to them starting a war on earth which killed them all except the polish they survived and for the second time got to go to space."odin responded as he did the same with Serena he also took out a wire form his arm and connected it to the back of Serena's head after a few seconds a port was made in her head by the nanites.

Soon both odins started improving the information of the two. They did simple things like making the lifespan of them in the trillions. upgrading the organs making them constantly evolve and stop once a limit was reached project ascendance didn't have this limiter this was in place so they didn't one shot everything. Soon they were done.

In the universe, there was a common ranking of weapons and engineered beings. Called apexation this went from 1-100 a level one apex was basically a being that could alter reality and was unbounded by the nine fates and bounded by the first fate.

To most, they would think 'oh it's just a reality warper there are better things than that but this apex could change reality above what Harper's could you see reality warpers could change reality say put a ball their but any being maybe and omniscient being could easily tell that it was thought there if said omniscient being decided to return it to normal then the ball would just fade away.

But an apex could do the same but if said Omni being tried to return it to normal then that ball would still be there because reality has never been changed so one would then have to alter reality to make the said ball disappear. It was kinda complicated for normal low born to understand but it was as it was.

Odin soon unplugged the wire and left back to his room he put them in a simulation so they could learn their abilities the space marine was strong and very skilled but compared to the boot camp soldiers of his world he was very under-skilled.

"Just call me when they wake or something"

Odin(ori) walked back to his room and the scene changed Odin(ori) looked forward and saw a group of people just partying the floor was filled with red roses. Odin soon walked up to the group and sat on a chair.

"So it seems you decided to join us huh?" said the man as he looked at Odin.

"Huh I didn't think you'd come here I thought you would continue toward our goal?" said another while he played with a set of cards

"I haven't given up but at the same time I don't even know how you guys did it how can you move on and let another take our place?" Odin said as he looked at the table.

"Well if we keep going like you we will die you know that at some point you'll just become a mindless beast this is the only way to continue." said a man that wore a hoodie compared to everyone he had a youthful aura everyone else had the presence of old men or middle-aged people.

"You didn't even last more than a month" Odin made a snide remark.

"Yea but it was for a good reason you know that and sure you're older than us but even you aren't the oldest that man you were is long gone forgotten to even us." the man said as he placed his hand on odins shoulder.

"So how do I do it?"

"It just happens a certain emotion resonates with you or a memory flashes so you let go and it takes over"

"So do I just think of happy things to have a happy me?"

"We can't decide what he will be I was born because I didn't want to be betrayed so I became very cold and distant he wanted to be young and free we represent many different things remember." a man with dark-rimmed glasses said as he pointed to the other next to Odin.

"And I was born to take the torture all that pain you suffer I took it you are all of us but you won't last for long remember that." a low voice said to Odin causing him and everyone to turn towards the voice in shock. They saw a man sitting in a chair his eyes were gone his chest was opened it was empty the chains that bonded him connected him to the chair and ground.

"You can talk?" Odin said as he looked at the corpse.

"Of course I can but I don't because can I even be heard at all my cries are always silenced so it's better to be quiet." the corpse said.

"But how long will you go you can't go far anymore can't you see your anger isn't from withdrawal from smiling blood no it's from your hate that others have what you don't and that is peace."

"Maybe so but you are the same aren't you?" Odin responded as he walked over to the corpse.

"Oh yes we are but you just complain and do nothing I have done my share you are the dead weight here." the corpse said as a smile formed on its face with its broken jaw and ripped muscles it looked creepy.

"Deadweight huh?" Odin said as he pointed his gun at the corpse.

"What will that do can you really kill yourself what will that accomplish by all means please enlighten me." the corpse said as he turned to look at Odin with its dug out eyes but even without them Odin could tell it was looking at him with ridicule.

"Maybe it does nothing but I feel better," Odin said as he put the gun away and instead punched the corpse the others watched as Odin kicked and punched the corpse and soon saw him claw at the reaming flesh.

"That's enough Odin." a man said compared to everyone around he looked old his eyepatch was invalid with gold that accentuated his face even though he looked worn out by time he still looked handsome.

"Why should I?" Odin said as he kept punching the corpse.

"Because it's useless."

Odin stopped and looked at the man both had the same look they were tired. How many times did they have to fail too many times did they have to lose those they loved so many times did they fall to their knees and beg for that once peaceful life where they had her?

Odin sighed as he stood up he picked up the corpse and placed him back on the chair. He went back to the table and sat down he joined the others in drinking after what felt like hours he decided to leave.

"Well, I'll see you guys later."

The rest just nodded as they saw him leave but before he exited someone stopped him. The man had the same aura as the other very youthful but behind it was also the aura of a monster.

"Hey can you please call me out at times I don't get to have fun as the others please?" he said as he put his hands together in a pleading motion the colorful stitches all over his body stood out with the man's voice others would think he was a girl but everyone here was male since these where his personality from his lifetimes.

"Sure just make sure you don't go too crazy" Odin said as he smiled at the kid

"Yeah, I promise," the man said as he jumped up in excitement.

Reality shivered at the thought of this kid returning.

Soon Odin left and the scene changed to a dark place the floor had many types of runes and patterns. as Odin looked behind him he saw a difference of material. this place was his bed Odin created another reality to house his bed where he could sleep for as long as he wished. the reality was covered in a metal box made of dark alternium this was a class 8 metal. Odin walked towards the bed and saw that someone was already in it.

"Odin?" the woman's voice said as she looked at him. Her grey eyes showed some shock since Odin wasn't a spiritual form but actually physical now.

"Yea I'm back well physically," Odin said as he got into the bed.

Odin and the woman looked at each other this woman was odins beloved or well one from a different reality where instead of her death it was Odin which when Odin found out was surprised since his death meant the destruction of a universe or reality depending if it was a close or Odin itself.

"So how are you doing Odin?" the woman said as she held his hand Odin felt uncomfortable with that even though this was his wife it really wasn't her but at the same time, both needed each other as they sought the same thing.

"I'm doing great." Odin lied but at the same time told the truth even though it made him uncountable looking at her face made him calm he felt like he was at peace if only temporary.

"That's good," she said as he got close trying to kiss him.

Odin stopped her this felt like cheating on her no matter what anyone said. "We shouldn't do this what about your Odin and what about my #+%*%^=^?"

"You are my Odin just a different version of him just let it happen we both need this maybe this is how it was supposed to be in the end," she said as she kissed Odin. He wanted to stop her but also wanted to embrace her as the indecisiveness continued a thought flashed from back when he was with her he still remembered her smile from that night.

Soon Odin let go and embraced the woman the tears fell on her skin but she didn't care. Over reality, a warm yet empty feeling spread wars that raged stopped abruptly instead of any anger only a calm loneliness spread It soon faded after a while. Odin was held in the woman's arms after they finished he was asleep but he had a smile a genuine smile not filled with hate or sadness but happiness.

The woman kissed odins head and she too closed her eyes and muttered. "Sleep my dear tomorrow will be a bright morning for you to seize."
