Broken Spear of the Gods

Wyll was back in the void of swirling grey, his head throbbing and only his heart seemed to echo in this void. "Wyll of the Purple Dragoons, you have been chosen to be my champion! Arise, champion of Chaos! Forge ahead in this war and rise to the top! I expect good things to come from you." A beacon of swirling greys and radiant red pulsed off Wyll as he rose from the rubble, the pain fading as he met eyes with the man who helped him in the alley. Tied to each was a silver thread, each exchanging glances as Askalon took a bow. "I am Askalon. I hold not the title of First Forged but something else. I am the First Mistake, the oldest living Weapon. I accept you as my Wielder O Champion of Chaos!" Everyone turned to Wyll, his eyes shining brightly as he took the hand of Askalon. The Weapon's form changed shape as, with worry, his acquaintances glared at him; the only Destroyer, Chaos, had chosen a champion. [[Welcome Wielder, I am Pandemonium, Pan for short. I am an entity tailored by Chaos for you, and it is my objective to assist you in 'The Battlefield of the Gods!' Pan will be fully operational shortly]]

Ambush On a Moon Lit Night

Men stepped from the tree lines, brandishing {Weapons} of varying degrees but Wyll had little care of what their rarity was as people began to scatter, the workers slipping into the carriages as well as the drivers. Wyll was sweating some as he felt the cool air cascade against his body, a dozen men flooding from the forest as one came bearing down on Wyll with a set of daggers. Wyll sidestepped the downward plunge of the daggers before backflipping past a spear point as he grit his teeth, the spearhead lightly grazing him. A blaze ignited in Wyll as he called on Askalon, the spear returning to his hand as his feet hit the ground. A club swung at Wyll as he deflected the club with Askalon's shaft.

"Turmoil! Bear down on these bandits with ferocity and give them hell! Leave none of them alive! Protect the people and cargo!"

Wyll called out as Mako slammed his now clad fist into the club {Wielder}, sending him to the side as Wyll followed up, slamming the pommel of his spear into a swordsman's chin, making him grunt in pain. Bastion stepped forward, anxiety causing his hands to shake as a woman with a blade bore down on him with murderous intent. He deflected the blow off his blade, clenching his teeth as Kist came from behind him, impaling the woman on her blade who spat out blood.

Ian was atop the carriages, letting loose some arrows. A few found their mark , impaling the wrist of an archer just in the wood line. He cried out in pain as Maya held the last line of defense, swinging her hammer a bit wildly at those who approached as she knocked them away from the carriage. Wyll noted that the team had a good amount of rhythm to them with areas of improvement.

Wyll slashed at the man with daggers, slicing his throat open as he begins choking on blood as his eyes widened in shock. The bandits quickly regathered themselves, noticing Wyll was the one giving orders. Four bandits surrounded Wyll as he glanced about, seeing that none of the others had followed suit but his squad was holding their own. Several arrows came flying from the tree lines as Wyll let out a held breath, spinning Askalon and deflecting the arrows. Ian drew back three arrows and let them fly, several cries of pain indicating that those were taken care of as the clouds clear and the moon lights up the camp.

Wyll felt his very being quiver in response as everything and one seemed to slow to a crawl, A set of glowing eyes peered through the woods and gave a nod as the hair on Wyll's arms began to raise. Every sight, smell, his touch became enhanced and Wyll could taste the air as he swung Askalon with a slow grace, feeling the blade of the spear cut through the men. Wyll didn't have time to ask questions or look for an answer, this strength was needed to minimize the casualties as he couldn't feel Askalon's wavelength but a foreign one that was incredibly wild… Wild.

Mako wasn't sure what was going on as within a blink of an eye Wyll cut down the men surrounding him. He could barely keep track of Wyll as blood splattered against Mako's face, the {Wielder} he had been pummeling had a spear through his throat. Mako Barely got to turn his head as he saw Wyll walk past him with blinding speed as everything in the world seemed to stop, his eyes watching Wyll as he dispatched the bandits, each bandit dropping within two breaths.

"Well I'll be! We assumed you dregs were nothing more than some kiddos lost on a trip and managed to bring us a gift!"

A voice called from just outside their view as two feet stepped forward in perfect unison, Wyll's eyes snapping to the new prey as he wasted no time at all, charging forward with power behind him to impale his new targets. A sturdy blade blocked Wyll's spear tip, causing him to hop back as a fire surrounded the camp, people growing fearful at the commotion as Wyll stood his ground, spread out on the ground as he held Askalon, his free hand on the ground as he stared down his two opponents.

The face of a man and a woman became visible as the man held fire in his hand and Wyll's eyes narrowed. Both had a heretic branding on their cheeks as Wyll watched the woman heft the greatsword over her shoulder. A bolt of fire suddenly jumped from the man's hand towards Wyll as he sprung forward. The fire exploded into a small plume as Wyll saw the magic user as the immediate threat but the obstacle in his way made it very apparent as the greatsword blade went to stab at Wyll. Instincts kicked in as Wyll rolled on the ground to the left, making it to his feet as lunged at the woman, trying to stab at her as the flat of her blade acted as a shield, keeping Wyll from piercing her as the ground began to move under Wyll.

Wyll kept his balance as he looked towards the man in back, his hands glowing some with an intricate pattern. Wyll glared as he narrowly dodged the blade of the great sword. Magic, the man in back was a mage of sorts as another swing came from the woman, Wyll deflecting it with Askalon's shaft. She stumbled back but every time Wyll tried to cut her down her blade would deflect his or his opening was cut short by the mage hurling a mess of magic at him.

"Do you want power? The popper to cut down your foes? To do with as you please and do what you want? We can all grant you that power, just swear yourself to us. Give in to that want and erase all the worry, neglect uncertainty and let us take your fate into our hands."

Eleven voices called out to him in unison, the noise causing Wyll to lose some concentration as the blade of the great sword slashed downward at his shoulder. Power? Wyll had power. He didn't have to rely on anyone any more. The gods, celestials, whatever they were, just saw it fit to meddle in his affairs. Their incessant blabbering was going to get him killed. Strength, he had it and needed it now. With his heightened senses he could feel every part of his being, every fiber of muscle, every cell on his skin. He just needed to make them stronger!

"Watch all you want but no more filling my head with voices! I have strength and power of my own! Shut your mouths and fucking watch!"

Wyll shouted out as his body emanated the chaotic swirling of greys, whites, blacks and reds. Instead of flickering off him like a flame, the colors endlessly shifted in a circuit like pattern, causing him to glow as The great sword's blade hadn't split Wyll's skin too badly, sinking about an inch into Wyll's shoulder as his hand gripped the blade. Askalon was glowing as well as Wyll thrust his spear into the woman, driving Askalon through her stomach before he twisted the blade and sliced through her stomach. She was shaking as her hand reached down and clutched at her side, finding it missing with a sizable hole in her stomach.

"Bella no!"

The mage cried out before the area pulsed, his circuits glowing brighter as all the flames in the area began to gather in a large sphere above his head. Tears were filling his eyes, the moment they fell down his face they evaporated as his hands began to bubble and burn. He was ready to let down the sphere of fire before feeling the sting of a blade. The mage gasped for air as his blood ran cold and stale in his veins, looking to Askalon piercing his heart as within a moment there was a hole where it was.

Wyll looked up at the man with a sort of boredom as he grabbed the man's head with his hand, slamming it back as his circuits spread from his body and filled the man. The ball of fire pulsed before the inner of the sphere became black and white before dissipating and vanishing without a trace. Wyll pulled his hand off the man's head, his own body still glowing as he processed the magic that he had pulled from the mage, converting it into his own as the muffled voice of Askalon called out to him.

"Wyll! Stop the magic Wyll, you're gonna kill yourself from the mana drain! Turn it off Wyll!"

Wyll blinked and looked down at Askalon as the glowing slowly dimmed out, leaving Wyll barely standing as he blinked a bit confused. Bodies lay around him, blood painted his body and he felt exhausted as his eyes rolled back with a slight groan.

[[{Moon Who Drives Away Pain} has gifted an Authority.
