Information Deficiency

There is at least 100 billion stars in the Milky way alone. And it wasn't even the biggest galaxy out there. Scientists had found galaxies that were much more bigger and hosted at least 10x that amount of stars. Compared to that, Humanity didn't even managed to conquer even 50,000 stars in the last millennium. And that was just 0.00005% of the whole milky way. In the grand scale of things, Humanity didn't matter at all.

The Milky way was more that 13 Billion years old. And in that long history, an uncountable numbers of alien empires rose and fell. Huge galactic empires whose scale couldn't be fathomed by humans disappeared practically over night. Empires that Spanned over millions of star systems and encompassed more of the milky way galaxy than anyone thought was possible disappeared. Leaving behind only their legacy. Many empires weren't even that fortunate.

The simple scale of the galaxy was just that huge. Although many humans often thought that they were one of the top races currently in the milky way. But the real truth was, they had only explored about 0.0001% of the total galaxy. And sure, they were kind of powerful in their own neighborhood. But that still left out the vast majority of the galaxy where an unknown amount of unknowns lived.

So those that knew this fact, didn't consider humanity as strong. Not even close. We simply didn't knew enough. Humanity as a whole suffered from a horrible case of information deficiency. So calling ourselves as one of the strongest species was nothing but idiocy.

The Milky was a diverse place, Humanity had long observed many beautify sights that they could only hope to reach one day, But sadly, many of those dreamers would perish before they could do so.

Although the average lifespan of a human had grown from just 80 years to over 150 years, It wasn't enough by the galactic standards. Humans were simply too perishable.

But that didn't mean that they were willing to give up. Humans were dreamers by default. Everyone of this species wanted to become more than the sum of themselves. And that meant that pushing through the hardest challenges and facing the bravest of the opponents. But that didn't mean that they gave up. They persisted, They persisted through much. By picking up the torch from where the last person left it, humanity grew as a whole. And eventually ascended the humble beginnings and now were one of the bigger players in their neighborhood.

But that still didn't change the fact that the vast majority of the galaxy was still unexplored from the perspective of humanity. So one could only discover new things if one wished to explore. One only the ability and the curiosity to explore. To see new things. To witness what has never been witnessed by the human eyes ever before.

Right now, Kita was one of those who wanted to explore the unexplored. He wanted to witness what had never been witnessed. Although, if he was being honest to himself, it wasn't exactly his wish. It was Helen's. He just wanted to fulfill it. He wanted to do what the women he loved wanted to do. So he had setout on this journey.

Now faced with the question, where he was gonna travel to. There was only one answer he could say.

"The galaxy is a huge and diverse place. Much of it is still unexplored and unwitnessed by the human eyes. There's so much to see that giving out a definite answer would be disrespectful to everything else." Kita finished with a line that Helen used to tell him often. He let out a mocking smile.

The guy sitting across him looked at him without any expression on his face up until now. But when he heard his answer, His expression finally softened a bit.

"That's an admirable thought."

"Thanks. My late wife used to often say it. She wanted to travel the galaxy more than anything. I had promised her to fulfill her wish. But sadly, she left me before I could do that. I don't want to break my promise with her. That's why I'm gonna travel the galaxy with her right beside me." Kita said as his right hand went up to his neck where lied the necklace with a blue diamond.

Gregor analyzed Kita for a few minutes before standing up.

"Come with me." he said before turning as he started walking towards the hanger.

Kita started following him.

They both walked to the hanger as Kita followed Gregor from behind.

After reaching the Hanger, Gregor walked up to the huge gate, and entered some credentials.

The gates of the hangers started opening. Inside the Huge hanger, there was a 1.4 KM long space ship. A heavy cruiser to be exact. It had a blue and white coloration.

It looked to be maintained extremely well maintained. it still shined under the bright light from the local star.

After the gates opened, they both walked in.

"Mr. Kita, Your wife was right. There's so many wonders and so many things to see in this galaxy that even mentioning something would be a disrespect to everything else. Although I wish could've met her. I am really sorry for your loss."

Gregor said as he turned towards Kita. This was the first time he had said anything.

"As you can see, before you is JTW Jeager. The ship that you're here for.", The Man said as he pointed one of his hands towards the ship.

Kita took in the sight. The Jeager was simply a real beauty. Everything about her was just simply breathtaking. Once Kita saw her, He knew that this was the only ship for him.

The Huge ship was floating about 50 meters of the ground. Kita could see that the roof was actually a projected energy screen that separated the two sides and elements of it from each other.

It was a really fancy way to store a ship. But for a ship like the Jeager, it was definitely worth it.
