Someone Who Can Do Both

It had been cold lately, so I tugged on some jeans and Hikaru’s flannel shirt. Having their scent nearby made me feel safe in a way that I didn’t quite understand. I grabbed my favorite hoodie and headed out for my walk.

Since living in this neighborhood, I really hadn’t done much exploring. I decided to head down a street I hadn’t been before to see what was down there since I was wandering aimlessly anyway. I tried to clear my head, but it was hard when there were so many things to worry about.

I heard the faint sound of music and voices and thought it must have been some kind of house party, which was strange for a weeknight. When I got closer, I saw that it was actually a nightclub I’d never noticed called The Glitter Room. I was planning to continue on my way, but then I looked over and noticed Hikaru’s truck parked out front.
