The last flight landed on a natural island. An open-air electric car took us to the boat landing.
I carefully spun my dress into a roll (in case I wanted something for formal dining).
Knowing there were hours until the turbo-catamaran would be here, I put on the new beach wear.
It really did act as advertised.
Part bathing suit, part beach wrap, and part beach towel. It adapted to what I was doing.
Periodically, a small patch of the fabric would move down to my wrist and display a small question.
Questions aimed at how loose or tight I wanted it to hold.
Questions aimed at how demur I wanted to look.
Questions aimed at how safe I wanted to be.
I was a little confused. The choices had multiple selections. Even options that I thought were redundant.
"Adaptive" was a choice, but so was "Trust Building Adaptive". I picked the last one.
The ride on the turbo-catamaran was beautiful. I stayed on the outside deck sitting on a forward bench. A single carry bag on my lap, the wide Pacific Ocean as far as the eyes could see.
